How very glad I am that I signed up for the Pistol Basics class at, Trigger Time, Longmont's premier gun club. The operation there is truly first-rate. Prior to Saturday, June 17th, '23, I had been to Trigger Time once with a long-standing member of the club. Even though I have shot a great number of guns there - as well as out in the wilderness - I knew that I needed formal instruction. The father & son teaching the class together were superb (Perry & Troy Morris). Both certified by the NRA, I knew that these two men were the real deal. [They also struck me as really good humans.]    The lecture portion of the course was nicely jazzed up with humor and interaction, and the Powerpoint presentation itself wasn't a snoozer like so many Power Points wind up being. These astute learning leaders maintained our attention and alertness by providing frequent breaks and interesting facts throughout the day.   Regarding the hands-on portion of the class, Troy and Perry were marvelously encouraging and provided the perfect amount of assistance & intervention.  From loading and proper grip to stance & hitting the target, the father & son team made the experience downright enjoyable. Since taking the class, my intimidation and fear in handling guns has diminished greatly and my basic pistol skills seem more solidified. Trigger Time Gun Club - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Longmont, Colorado

I rarely write yelp reviews, but this is one of those rare cases. I'm really impressed by TTGC. I signed up for their precision rifle class and when I indicated to the owner (Paul) that I was a novice shooter, he invited me to the range to show me some basics before the class. He explained to me the basics of safety and marksmanship, and I even got to shoot 20-30 rounds. We spent probably about an hour at the range and Paul didn't charge me anything (!!!) for this lesson. That's what I call going above and beyond for your customer! By the way, the 3 day precision rifle class was also amazing! I would definitely be coming back to Trigger Time and I would totally recommend them to anyone. read more

My husband has been a member of Trigger Time for a few years; I have been once or twice to shoot my pistol but not as often as he goes. Today was great! Reserved lanes ahead of time and purchased a few target sheets, put on our ear and eye protecting and in we went. i was introduced to this location from one of my good friends who needed a higher quality place than what was available to him in Denver. He travels between there and Longmont, so this was a good in between place without having to go further North. Overall he absolutely loved the place and as I was looking for a range to join he brought me here. You can pre-book a range slot online to help guarantee yourself a shooting slot which is great if you're on a schedule. On my arrival I was immediately impressed by how clean and organized the place was. The exterior is very clean and was free of debris with a well maintained parking lot and decor. Inside was the same. It looks clean and inviting without any funny smells or areas that you just don't want to go near for looking run down. When you first go in the door you are quickly greeted by the staff with a smile and eagerness to help. In looking around at the various items they have for sale, everyone I have dealt with is very knowledgeable about their products and their function. Also really have noticed that no matter what product I was looking at they never tried to make the up sale like other places do, or pressure you with lies about "this wont work unless" kind of talk. They are very genuine and will suggest the cheaper product if it truly is better for what you need. On top of the large array of equipment and accessories, they also have a wide selection of handguns and rifles that are neatly displayed for you to see without hiding any of the tags or prices so you know exactly what you are looking at. They are more than happy to let you examine a firearm and answer any questions that you might have. As far as the actual range goes before you go in there is a computerized registration with your information and signature for everyone's safety. There is also a decent selection of firearms that you can "rent" for your range time if you wish try out a weapon or just brush up on your techniques without using your own firearm. They do prefer you use their ammo through their guns and easily have them available for you as well as targets with a "buyback" feature in case you don't use everything. Only pay for what you use which is great. Inside the range is primary staging room where you can make sure your hearing protection and glasses are good to go before heading into the range, as well as a nice small cleaning station for your hands for before or after. you are pre-assigned a lane beforehand and when you enter they are easily located in front of you with chest high benches along the length of the walls for your gear. Each of the lanes has an automated target system where you can set the distance and adjust special functions like having the targets rotate at random. The lighting is also adjustable overhead to make a comfortable shooting position with contrast lighting. After you are done firing everyone kindly cleans up their shells with the brooms spread around and disposes of them in clearly marked containers, or you can bag your own shells for reloading if you wish. On my most recent visit, I also discovered that there is an upstairs lounge type area for members as well as an onsite gunsmith which is really nice if you need some work done. This location also provides classes for a variety of experience levels and is very much a family friendly location as I have seen several families with smaller children learning about firearms. Overall this is a great range and storefront for all your firearm needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the range is well maintained. As I try to weigh the pros and cons of every location the only real downsides that I have so far seen is really in the membership pricing. To me it is a little bit on the high side with $350 one time fee for a single person with a $35 monthly fee. The other ranges around the state are at most $175 for a single person and even though this is somewhat newer the $350 is the only real thing preventing me from being a member and my finances just aren't there for it as a lump payment. I know is a very minor thing compared to how amazing it is otherwise. That being said, I really really do enjoy this location and what it provides and gladly go here with my friend who is a member and I can ride on his membership as a guest. If you're looking for a new range or to change your existing one, I do highly recommend Trigger Time. read more

Time waster. I attempted to have a silencer that I purchased online to be processed through Trigger Time Gun Club. They were listed as a local business that would assist with the process. What a nightmare. They were not capable of processing it. I believe they just did not want to. I think they wanted me to purchase the silencer from them. Communication was extremely poor. My can sat with them for several years. Yes, I said years. I just reached out to have them send it back to the online group. And of course they wanted to know who was paying for the freight. And, service at the counter is very bad. It takes for ever to be recognized and then helped with what you need. Not a good experience. Very dissappointed. read more

Cost too much for what you have to deal with. People that work the counter are always too busy talking to their friends to check you into a lane. Gunsmith is an arrogant idiot. Ordered a firearm through them and what should have taken at most a week went on for several. Ended up finding it in gunbroker for cheaper and 2 day delivery. I went to trigger time to get night sights and have my hand gun ready for a red dot. The armor Patrick went above and beyond with his assistance. I visited Trigger Time three times and Patrick always responded to my emails and kept me informed on my sights. I'm no gun pro but this place delivered on what I expected, and then some. The selection is huge in the pro shop. The staff was very professional and very strict with the rules, which made me very happy. This is a place to follow rules! There were lots of lanes for practicing, which was quite the experience! Upstairs they were having a hunter's ed course and a lady was in attendance. Very powerful and really good to de-stress. My man just got a membership so we will be back again. read more

The crew at Trigger Time are always friendly and helpful. Zach and Nate have helped me pick out a new Premier scope and AICS stock for my .260 and I am extremely pleased. Was a member for 2 years. Never felt like I was part of the club, wasn't a very friendly environment. They scrutinized my ammo beyond belief even though it never turned out to be steel after checking day after day. The final straw for me was when one of the bullet traps had to be replaced, and they put the cost of it on the members by raising the rates. It was already too expensive and we were told upon signup that repairs and maintenance were the reason for such expensive initiation fees. It was just a buildup of things that made me leave there. I can pay less at a public range and deal with friendlier people. read more
