Instead of asking those questions I get ignored for two+ hours on a day where they don't have hardly any patients. Front staff is nice enough, but whoever the lady was that took us back? Rude, needs a better bedside manner, she also took puppers back for treatment and he didn't like her vibes either. The vet, however, was lovely. Listened and treated puppers accordingly, he had a stomachache, the end.

I chose UrgentVet based on a friend in vetmed recommending the chain itself and reading the reviews. Overall, good experience and fair pricing. They are a "fear free" practice I believe, which is positive, especially when you have a dog who has vet-related ear trauma. It does potentially limit what can be done without the need for sedation. I went in hoping to avoid sedation for an ear exam but knew it was a possibility. They did sedate and we went home once she was walking on her own. Pricing ended up being less than expected - mainly because I was quoted an astronomical price. The staff was up front about cost and gave an estimate for the exam fee and ear cytology - this was right after they told me they would likely sedate. I asked for an estimate on sedation and while I was soaking in that number in they mentioned a few other things that could come up but did not say how much they would cost. This caught up to me once the staff left the room. I love up front pricing but would appreciate estimates including the big ticket items - even if they don't end up happening. Not knowing is half the battle. In the end, they were very generous and removed extra charges associated with sedation that my dog didn't use to the full extent because she was sedated for such a short period. They do exams and care in the back without owner present (maybe you can ask, I didn't) which probably helps the pet. I would have appreciated meeting the vet prior to the vet examining/interacting with my dog, especially since my dog has had a traumatic event with a vet in the past. They were very responsive via email - sent invoice and SOAP notes for insurance along with forwarding to my primary vet. I would go back in a urgent situation. I had never been to an urgent vet before and wasn't sure of their setup. Part of any misunderstanding of care choices/pricing would also be improved by me asking for clarification from the jump.

It was a tough decision, but we couldn't afford to get her the care she needed. I appreciate how compassionate and empathetic the staff was in making this difficult decision. I switched it abruptly from isms wet dog food to the Costco wet dog food and his tummy wasn't happy about it. I waited for the weekend and noticed that he was still pretty lethargic after a few days so I started calling around for nearby vets. Thankfully this isn't too far from me (20 min drive from west valley) located by fort union in midvale The technician and vet were both very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions patiently. They ended up giving him a hydrating pack and done nausea medicine. He's feeling a lot better and I'm thankful that they helped!

I had a really great experience with Country View Veterinary Hospital and really wish I had gone…read morethere first. On 06/10, I took my 11-year-old Great Pyrenees to another vet (beware of Utah Veterinary Hospital) because he was limping and had a swollen foot. I thought it might be something like a foxtail, but they barely looked at his foot and told me it was hip dysplasia and that his foot might just be swollen from laying on it. That I shouldn't worry about it. They told me to come back in about 10 days for X-rays and bloodwork and I scheduled a follow-up for 06/22. My dog just kept getting worse and by 06/17, he could barely walk. I called my other vet to see if they could get me in earlier and they said his pain was "to be expected". I decided to get a second opinion, and Country View was able to get me in within a couple hours. The difference was obvious right away. They actually took a good look at his foot and immediately said he likely had a fracture or an infected wound. They did X-rays with anesthesia, ran bloodwork, and found and treated an abscess in his foot. They cleaned and drained it, and sent us home with antibiotics and probiotics. They also took the time to show me the X-rays and explain what was going on with his hip dysplasia and what our treatment options are, which I really appreciated. On top of all that, it ended up costing less than what I had been quoted at the other vet for just X-rays under anesthesia and bloodwork. I'm really grateful for how quickly they acted and how thorough they were. It made a huge difference for my dog and just a day later he already seems so much better. I definitely recommend Country View Veterinary Hospital.

When I got there they got me into a room right away. The nurse and vet were really nice they talked to me during letting me know that they weren't really concerned what they were going to do. Came in with a price list of what the options were and what we could remove or leave on for cost and still get the care she needed. It was clean and all of the staff I talked to were really nice. The parking lot is very small though.
