I invested in the Trimlight Raleigh LED home outdoor lighting system, and we love it. The sales team was very informative, and installation team did a great job. The app is super easy to use, has tons of ability to customize light colors and patterns, and they provided me "how to" videos to further help me. Anyone considering Trimlight needs to rethink it. Ours lasted a year and a half. There is only one service provider now in the our area and our light have been out now a few weeks and all were completely non-responsive - we had to hound them to even get a response. Know there is no real backing with the company- they franchise these independent contractors and then do nothing else. Its been 3 weeks no one has called and HQ sent diodes and basically sent directions like we are expected to do the work ourselves so we can void their warrant too. So, good luck getting any help on their so called lifetime warranty. we are on our own our original contractor out of St Joe was a real winner who took a 2k deposit and then never showed up to the appointment. It took a month and a BBB appointment before HQ did anything and still wouldn't get us a refund so we had to install with the guy who then (shockingly) went out of business. We loved them when they worked but a year and a half and out over 4k every interaction with this company and their local contractors has been extremely bad and I would never recommend the company to anyone. read more

I really wish I was on here to say great say things about this company . Unfortunately I can not give it a star but the rating makes you put 1 star . My lights do not work on my house . I have had these installed for under a year and all but one strip works. I have called and emailed several times and they want to put it off on the installers / contractors that are no longer work as a Trimlight contractor . These are suppose to be backed by LIFETIME WARRANTY by TRIMLIGHT . THEY DO NOT HONOR THIS !!!!! The company told me that I can reach out to another contractor under them but any labor done will be at my cost . Research your lighting company before having them come and install . This company gets out of their warranty by using 3rd party installers . My review is for TRIMLIGHT , not the subcontractors that installed my Trimlights on my home . I can not say enough about my Trimlight experience. From the beginning to the end was excellent!! The front office was professional and friendly and scheduled a quote very quickly. Zach explained the trimlight installation and quote in detail. He answered all our questions. The installation crew was the best of the best. This is where the nitty gritty happens, and Mike is the man you want to handle the details. Beyond extremely courteous and customer oriented, he oversaw every minute detail. If there was any question at all about the installation, he made it right and right at that moment!!! Caleb was just as precise in his detail work on the pool cage lights. Lights were installed and work as expected. We have had fun with Holiday lights, Valentine's Day and school colors on game night. Currently we are having a woodpecker problem pecking holes in foam decor under soffits. We have lights on white strobing during daylight to deter woodpeckers. So far seems to be working! read more

I don't write reviews often, but I felt an obligation to write this one so anyone considering Trimlight will know what they are getting into. The initial communication with Trimlight was excellent. I had the lights installed in April and I got the "after-holidays" discount. The lights look beautiful. The app leaves a lot to be desired, but it works a majority of the time with minimal glitches. The Trimlight box (which houses all the electrical components needed to control/power the lights) is very loud when the fan turns on. Now onto the issue. About a month ago, the power to our house went out. When it came back on, a section of our Trimlights was permanently on and blue (see the pics attached). I attempted to soft restart, hard restart, and factory reset to fix the lights. Nothing worked, so I contacted Trimlight. The technician was fast and came out the next day. He said the only way to fix the lights is to physically climb up to that section; however, he did not have a ladder long enough to reach it. He texted me that he had to talk to his boss to figure out what equipment they can use to access the lights. Completely understandable. Two days went by with no word from the technician, so I reached out to him asking for an update. He didn't remember my situation and asked for my name (even though he could have just scrolled up to see the conversation history). He tells me his boss is still trying to think of a solution. Five more days go by with no word, so I reach out again. The technician tells me no solution has been found, but that he is meeting with his boss later that day to talk about it. I text the technician the next day to see how the meeting went, and he tells me they found a ladder long enough, but he needs extra hands to help with the ladder. He says he they will swing by "tomorrow sometime" to fix it. Surprise - they don't show up. He doesn't even text me to tell me they won't show up and he doesn't answer my text when I ask him if they can come over the weekend. So I text him the following Monday asking him for a commitment on when the issue will be fixed and I also offer to talk to his boss just in case I'm barking up the wrong tree. He ignores both requests and just repeats that they are waiting for extra people to help with the ladder. I tell him that it has been 2 weeks since he initially came out and I don't want it to be another 2 weeks until the issue is fixed and ask if it will be fixed sometime this week. No response. This was 8 days ago. Turns out the issue being fixed in 'another 2 weeks' was wishful thinking. Trimlight has dropped the ball and seems to have lost it. This is no way to run a business, and I regret choosing Trimlight over Jellyfish and the other competitors I had in mind. I chose Trimlight for their lifetime warranty, but that doesn't mean much if getting them to fix an issue is near impossible. Better communication and follow-through from the technician would have made a huge, positive difference with this experience. Instead, I've been left in the dark because the technician always eventually stops responding. I'm unsure when the issue will be fixed, but until then the lights will remain on wasting energy and money. You might be wondering why I don't unplug the system; it is because they need the lights on to fix the issue and I may not be home to turn the lights back on when they finally come. I just hope the lights are fixed before my daughter's 5th birthday party. If not, I guess we'll just have to celebrate with pretty flashing lights with a section of ugly, stagnant blue. I hope this review sparks some urgency on their end, but I'm ready to be disappointed yet again - and so should you if you make the mistake of choosing Trimlight. TL;DR Pros: -The lights are beautiful and the kids love them. -Great initial interaction with quick responses Cons: -System fan is extremely loud. -After-install tech support is atrocious -After-install communication is greatly lacking read more

We have had their lights for over two years. The installation was ok, but the tech was not helpful or knowledgeable about the app and the programming of the lights. After several failed attempts ourselves to understand or even use the lights we called and spoke to their "help desk". She was extremely dismissive and pointed us to the you tube video on the use of the program and app. Whenever we want to use the lights, it results in frustration and time wasted. I realize it's far too late to get my money back, but I kick myself for wasting thousands on a shoddy product and extremely dismissive and unhelpful employees. I saw an advertisement for Trimlight on my instagram and was originally a little skeptical. After some investigation, I saw that they were pretty legit and was very impressed at how undetectable they were during the day. Curious to get a quote, we reached out and found the company to be very kind and communicative. After a technician came to the house and gave us a quote, we were a little hesitant as the lights were rather costly; however, we decided to pull the trigger and have them installed. Because we placed our order mid-November, we knew that we'd be cutting it close to having them up for the holidays, but they pulled through and installed them before Christmas! The company sent one man, Pablo, to install our lights and he was FABULOUS!!! He did everything solo over the course of the day and explained to us how they worked and answered all our questions. I could not be happier with my experience with Valley Trimlight. First my sale man Tom was just an awesome man. So kind and takes the time to answer all your questions and explain everything and he is not pushy at all. He helped me purchase my trimlight system last year and I have loved it. This week I decided to upgrade to trimlight edge system for all the amazing new features like the alexa compatibility, way more presets and options for color choices, and of course the music function. I can not wait to have my lights going to halloween music for trick or treaters this year. I text Tom to see if he could show me the new system and he was over within a day. After I decided to purchase Clint literally showed up at my door 30 min after to install my new system and was in an out within about 15-20 min. He also took the time to show me how everything worked and I love that they have you do it while they are there so you know exactly how to use your system before they leave. The app is so user friendly as well. I am loving my trimlights and again couldn't ask for better customer service. Thank you trimlight I am so ready for the holidays to begin. After researching various lighting companies, I was originally excited about having the Trimlight system installed. It was a little on the pricey side, but due to health issues, I can no longer go up on my roof to install holiday lights, and my wife was insistent upon having lights for the holidays. So she was going to start doing the installations and removals herself. I was not going to allow her to be in that predicament. I will say, the installers were amazing. I was truly impressed with their work (and I have OCD). Then everything blew up, no more happiness. All joy joy was gone. The App is somewhat of a nightmare to navigate. It is very difficult to connect to. Numerous attempts are required more than half of the time, when trying to connect. I still get messed up trying to use it, and my wife won't even attempt using the App after watching me try to use it. Then, every time the power flickers or goes out, when power comes back on, so do the lights (to some preprogrammed flickering and chasing light pattern. When I called Trimlight regarding this, they told me to buy a power backup. Not really the fix I was looking for. Somewhere along the line, we decided that setting up a nice, soft solid white light pattern would look nice. Uh yeah, no white available. If you select their default white color, the actual result is a very soft blue light. I have tried to create customized light colors... they never turn out the way the color palette makes it look. I have three separate primary (eave) runs, plus two windows. I had asked that these five runs have separate control abilities. This did not happen. I had asked if their system provided lighting coordination to music. They told me, "not yet, but we are working on that". That has not happened. My system was installed September 2020. We were so looking forward to this Trimlight, and it has great potential. But as is, not a Happy Camper. Thinking of switching to Jellyfish, they have some great reviews. read more

The lights work and are ok because my husband doesn't have to climb on the roof the put up Christmas lights. We can change themes anytime we want as long as we can get into the system from our iPad. The NEGATIVE is the controller. We upgraded to the Edge which is supposed to be controlled by bluetooth anywhere in the world. This worked great until it didn't. Due to location of where my router is and the Trimlight controller is all of a sudden I couldn't use the bluetooth function. I used to be able to. In fact, today it couldn't even find the device so I had to go back to the old way. Today I went to change the lights to come on at a later time, it wouldn't connect. I kept getting a message saying "No Internet Connection". Even after I unplugged to reset, same message came up. Since I don't have an internet connection, I guess i'm not typing this post. There is no one available on weekends to help so I'm stuck with the timing of the lights until Monday. Haven't even had the Edge one year yet and these issues. I am ready to have them remove the system and I'll go on Amazon and buy govee (?). read more

We can do thousands and thousands of combinations for our favorite football teams, holidays, birthdays, breast cancer awareness or just to brighten up our home. I am so glad I got Trimlight. The lights work great. My only challenge is that the ap is very sensitive when setting the lighting colors. I wish there were a standard set of 20-30 colors that we could use versus having to drag the dot to where you think it is hitting the correct seasonal color. I hardly ever bother to write reviews, but in this case I feel obligated to protect the public. If you are thinking of using Wasatch Trimlight, I have one emphatic suggestion: DON'T. On 9/21/21 , a very nice and seemingly knowledgeable woman came to inspect the pergola in my backyard and provide a quote for installing Trimlights on it. The quote allowed me to choose, with incremental costs, installation on 1, 2, 3 or all 4 sides of the pergola. I asked Trimlight to send me a few photos of pergola installations like mine, so I could see what the lights would look like, and they sent me two completed job photos. After thinking about it, I decided I would do all 4 sides if Trimlight would discount the quote by 5%. Trimlight promptly agreed to that adjustment, in an email that stated: "We can definitely add that additional 5% if you do the full wrap! I will need to get someone out to you again just to verify how we would do the install since it is on a pergola. I will send my general manager out this Wednesday 10/6 around 3:30-4pm if that works for you?" I thought it a little odd that they needed to re-inspect the job site after already examining the pergola and asking me to accept their quote to do the work, but I told them that was fine and made an appointment for a second inspection. They actually showed up (unannounced) one day early, on 10/5/21 (which is better than showing up late, I suppose), but because they came on a different day and time no one was home. They proceeded to inspect the job site nevertheless for a second time and that evening sent me quote number 2, with a request that I accept it by clicking on an email button. However, quote number 2, instead of containing the promised 5% discount, was for a 35% INCREASE! I emailed them back that same evening, pointing out the cost discrepancy and asking for a revised quote reflecting a 5% discount from the initial quote. The next day, I got this email from them stating simply: "So after talking with my rep that went out yesterday and with my Trimlight Operations Manager - we have come to the decision that we can't install on your pergola. We want our clients to be happy with how the finished product would look and we aren't able to guarantee that the install would be up to our standards! I'm so sorry for any inconvenience!" That was it. I think this was a classic bait and switch. The second quote said nothing at all about Trimlight's installation "standards" or any problems or concerns with meeting those "standards" at the 35% increased price. It seems obvious to me that the second job quoter thought the project would be harder or more expensive than the first job quoter did, hence the 35% increase. When I complained the next day about the pricing bait and switch, the Operations Manager, Austin, apologized (to his credit) for "this misunderstanding which could have been prevented by increased diligence on [Trimlight's] part" and explained that Trimlight can only be installed on uniform, flat surfaces and that the installation on some parts of my pergola would require spanning some beams and "would be risking wind damage to the [lighting] track." Because of these installation difficulties, they had decided - after not one but two site inspections and ONLY after my complaining about the price increase - that they actually couldn't install Trimlights on the pergola without me being dissatisfied with the outcome. He blamed the 35% price increase on "a simple miscommunication on our end." At the conclusion of the email, he offered to do the work at the initial quoted price (I think with the promised 5% discount, although that's not clear), but warned that if he installed the lights "it wouldn't turn out the way either of us want it to" and I would be dissatisfied with the lighting. Oh, and if Trimlight proceeded with the work, they would only do it "withholding our standard, lifetime warranty" and giving me only "a 1-year product and labor warranty." That attempted explanation made virtually no sense, given that Trimlight would have been perfectly happy installing the lights under the first quote without the requested 5% discount, or under the second quote if I hadn't complained about the 35% increase. Apparently I was going to be happy and satisfied with their product and their installation in either of those cases, and get a full lifetime warranty. But when I complained about the cost bait and switch, I'm told I won't be happy with the project, it won't be up to their "standards," and I would get only a superficial 1-year warranty. In short, their only solution was pay them what they asked for, get less than what they promised, and be unhappy with their work. But hey, they are "sorry for any inconvenience." It's obvious that Trimlight is either dishonest or incompetent or both. If I could give them a zero star review, I would. As it is, I have to give them at least one star. RUN, DON'T WALK, FROM THESE GUYS!! read more

Trimlight installer was professional and installation was done with little to no disturbance to areas around installation area. It's great having permanent lights available to turn on during more than just the Christmas holiday season. Controlling them from the app is extremely convenient - can change colors on the fly and set them to go on and off automatically. Plus, thanks to multiple controllers the ones that line the rear of the house I can run those year round for patio lighting. When you consider the cost of purchasing lighting and then the cost of having someone put them up and take them down just once a year, the investment in Trimlights is paid off in just a few years + you have the benefit of using year-round. read more
