What a pleasure it has been working with owner Marla and her showroom associate, Kathi... and just only getting started! I'm a small Interior Design/Planning firm here in the Palm Springs area, for some 16 yrs now, from Los Angeles. I had a great upholstery guy I worked with for many years here, but he became so busy, flooded with a lot of new work, to the point he had no time for me any longer! A huge disappointment to say the least, after being what I deemed a very loyal client! Anyway, I needed to find another upholstery workroom and Marla's name came to me thru a retail furniture store. The Covid pandemic threw a major wrench into all aspects of the interior design industry. Thankfully, Trims, Decor & More and super-savvy Marla had time for me and my needs. To date, they have only done some large feather/down throw pillows with a hefty/double moss fringe and they turned out great! Also, 2 brand new chairs, somewhat "deco" in style, that I could only get in a saffron color faux suede, but needed them in a soft grey faux leather/Nubuc. After nearly 4 months waiting to get my Italy-made "Nubuc suede", I had Marla's workroom do them, adding a contrasting welting to punch-up the "deco" lines and help it to feel more custom. They turned out gorgeous, even having them paint out the dark brown wood/wedge base and feet to a soft black that just sort of blends into the shadow of the chair base. They really turned out great... clean, crisp and tight, looking as though they came out of the Italian factory of origin exactly this way. Welting on furniture can in itself be a bit tricky to deal with but they got it neat, taught and flawless accentuating the lines of the chair beautifully! We recently completed a large job with Marla and her team, and the results are just outstanding! We could not be happier with our pieces, the service, quality and consideration. We recently moved to the desert from Utah, where we had chunky, "mountain rustic" style sofas and arm chairs. But because they are of high quality, and not all that old, we considered reupholstering them. Once we realized that the Covid waiting times would be upwards of 6 months, we were sold on the idea of working with what we had. Enter Marla and her team! I had no idea that sofas and chairs could be redesigned with new arms and adapted backs, modernizing them to perfection. Marla helped us to choose fabrics that are stain resistant but look amazingly beautiful, and the results are beyond my expectations. The team created two matching, modern sofas out of our two very different, non matching ones, that are now a stunning pair. They transformed a sofa with chunky round arms into a gorgeous linen, thinner armed "Amber Interiors" look alike. They created two swivel chairs that look streamlined yet refined out of a pair that looked outdated, and lastly they created the most beautiful stripped banquette out of an old black leather one. The attention to details was superb-such as lining up a stripe in just the right way. We now have one-of-a-kind, original pieces that are beautifully made and can't be found elsewhere. She was professional, good listener, resourceful and knowledgeable in accommodating my needs for decorative drapes for my new homes. The material and color we chose was perfect to reflect the elegant, contemporary look that I was looking for. Marla personally came to our home to measure and also came a second time bringing the seamstress Rosa, to double measure and make sure everything was going to be performed to my likings. Lastly, she sent the installers who came to hang the final product and it was perfect!!! The installers, Ricardo and Alex, were also very professional and pleasure to work with! We love our kitchen chairs that surround a glass table which gets a lot of use in our home. People always gravitate to this spot in our home and we use it for every meal and zoom meeting and as a workspace. The chairs needed to be re-stuffed and reupholstered. We went to Decor and more and discovered an amazing array of beautiful fabrics to choose from. We found one that met our needs and we left the chairs. We were amazed to see them reborn in the new stuffing and fabric. The workmanship is perfect. The pattern was carefully placed so that the floral feature is centered on the seats and backs and the piping on the seats and the oval seat backs is very professionally done. The chairs have given new life to our kitchen. We can't recommend this shop any more highly. We will definitely be returning with other work to be done. read more

I had several small-ish jobs creating decorative pillows for my bedroom and living room. Though I had been to several stores in the valley, none had the right colors. Lucky for me I found Trims, Decor & More on San Pablo in Palm Desert. Even though I was not a "big-spender," Marla, the owner, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. In fact, I kept finding more needs for more pillows here and there in my house because she had just the right fabric and fillers for my needs, and because she was so pleasant to work with, with reasonable prices and finishing the jobs in a timely manner. After looking for new swivel upholstered chairs without much luck I decided to recover my 50 year old pair for the 4th time. The work done at Trims, Decor and More was by far better than any other time and I was able to choose a fabric I liked that enhanced my living room. They also made some lovely new pillows for my sofa. If I were looking for new furniture I would find used that I liked and have it recovered by Trims, Decor and More, no question. We are very lucky to have Marla and her team in the desert, for if not, we would have to travel to Los Angeles to find the same quality and diversity in interior design. If you have an older piece of furniture to refresh (I had a beautiful arm chair recovered) or are looking for custom window coverings, this is your shop. I would disregard the old, outdated reviews here - there is a new owner now and she is a pro!
