I've taken my kids to Trims & Tangles for a couple years now. We started off seeing Ms. Ronda who is no longer there. It's been awhile since my daughter last had a haircut so I took her in to see Ms. Juanita for the first time. For starters the salon has a great atmosphere for kids and Ms. Juanita works so well with them. She's so kind, attentive and is truly great at what she does. Miss Rios was AMAZING with my daughter. It was her 1st haircut. And she is a bit tender headed! It is a workout and crying sesh when I brush her hair to say the least! Ms. Rhonda first cut my son's hair when he was 1. He was propped in front of his favorite (Bruno Mars) and she started cutting his hair -- quickly but meticulously. What I loved the most was how she LISTENED to me! My son and my husband have this bump right above both ears. If the stylist doesn't cut this area shorter and blend it in, when the hair grows back, those two bumpy areas look like the hair there is sticking out more. I tried to explain this to the girl at Sharkey and she was super rude and basically told me to let her do her job. Not a surprise there that she didn't accommodate for those bumps like I pointed out. Ms. Rhonda on the other hand actually LISTENED and cute that area perfectly! Ms. Nicole is also so amazing! She was the person who set up the appointments and who handled the cash register at the previous salons. She is also the person who continued to keep us connected to Ms. Rhonda when the salons shut down or during this pandemic. She's seriously the sweetest! I will definitely be following Ms. Rhonda wherever she goes, and I'm so happy that she has opened her new studio! And get this-- the interior is SUPER cute!!! I loveeeee the decor! So fun! read more

Online booking for 5 and 2.5 year olds was a breeze. Salon is inside a Sola Salon. Small space but extremely clean and cheery. Two car chairs and one game chair available for styling. We were in a bind and needed my daughters bangs cut before school pictures, when I stumbled across Trims &Tangles on Yelp. Unfortunately they were fully committed, which is expected (since I was looking for a same day appointment). Later that evening I received a message from them saying that they could work us in the next day if we were still looking (and even apologized for reaching out to us again). They were so kind and gracious when they were actually doing us a favor. We of course accepted the offer and am so glad that we did! They are incredible, quick, professional and certainly geared towards the young clients. My daughter loved their space and I am so glad to have found them. Her hair was not only cut perfectly (and she has a difficult cowlick that always gives stylist trouble), but she left with cute flowers in her hair and a treat to top it off! Before we were even to the car she asked me if she could come back again! I have already made an appointment for my son and my daughters next appointment. Worth every penny!!! I actually thought the salon had been open longer than it has, due to hearing about it word of mouth. After hearing rave reviews and having high expectations, I took my 2.5 year old son to Juanita and she is truly gifted with children, and with cutting children's hair. She has a kind and warm presence which my son loved. We have tried cutting it at home (disaster) and also Sharkey's, which was okay, but here Juanita took a solid 30 minutes making his hair look PERFECT, whereas at Sharkey's she was done in 10 minutes or less. Really fine attention to detail and wonderful customer service. My son had a blast riding in the police car, watching the iPad and playing with the fun toys!
