I went to Jeffrey Michael's Salon today for a much needed haircut. I met with my stylist Felicia and we discussed what I wanted done and I showed her a few pics. She was a great listener. Since I was cutting off 4+ inches (going for a layered bob), she decided to cut that bulk off before she washed my hair. Felicia started cutting and once she got to a point where she felt she was done, she asked me to feel it out and see what I thought. I have thick hair and pointed out where I thought it felt heavy and she proceeded to listen carefully and continue with the cut doing exactly what I had asked. The end result was perfect. I was so happy to find Felicia and I give her and Jeffrey Michaels Salon my highest recommendation. In addition to a great haircut, I also really enjoyed chatting with her. Yesterday I took my son in for a haircut and we were assisted by Alix. He explained that he wanted a shoulder length haircut with some layers on top. What he got a an uneven badly layered super short cut. From the front it looks like a bob or the style you would give a 60 year old woman. The only way to fix this would be to go even shorter which is not what he wanted. In the past I had a great experience with the other stylists. This young lady has no place in that shop. I could've done a better job. The whole thing is very upsetting. read more

I first began coming to this wonderful salon a few months ago in order to fix a mishap that occurred last year. Payton has done a beautiful job on my hair. She has provided me with exquisitely placed lowlights in a level 5 brown. I have gotten multiple compliments on my hair. I have been going to Melody Barajas at Jeffrey Michaels salon for over 2 years (since January of 2021). She is friendly and sincerely cares that her clients are completely satisfied with her service. She always follows up within a day or so to check that your cut/color are exactly what you wanted and offers to make any corrections if needed. My teenage/young adults daughters also love Melody. Wow! I am impressed with this salon! I recently started going to this salon because my previous hair stylist moved out of town. I was greeted immediately when I walked through the doors, offered water, and felt welcomed. I made an appointment with Payton to get my hair lightened and cut. She was extremely friendly and quick to get started! Payton was confident with her technique and methods used to bleach my hair. We had many good conversations throughout the time we spent together and made hours of work feel like minutes. I love being bright blonde, especially during the summer months and she made this desire possible! I felt like I was taken care of and could trust Payton to execute the perfect hairstyle for me. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE: I had a appointment today at 10:00 a.m. I was excited because of all the great reviews. First, I sat there for about 8 minutes. before anyone came out to the front. Finally this girl came out and check me in and said Jeffery is just finishing up, that was 8 more minutes later. Then she came out to the front again and said he done he coming out, well then I went to use the restroom and saw Jeffery doing someone highlights and to me look like he was not as near done. I told the girl up front, reminder, I had to wait another 5 minutes because she keep disappearing. Finally I said to her, "looks like Jeffrey is too busy? she said no he all done, which was not true. The goal here, Jeffery just tell your assistant your running late and reschedule me or give me the correct time you will be done. OR have your assistant call your clients that your running 15 to 25 minutes behind, please. It took me a half hour to get to you. That girl at the front did not even call me and let me know when you will be done, I went to my car and waited. The time was 11:40, I advise anyone to NOT TO GO TO THIS SALON. Jeffery, next time come out say hello to your client and I am running late, at least acknowledge. AND Your assistant never called me to apologize or reschedule, I book this appointment a month ago. Either close your busy for being RUDE. Or get a new assistant and work on personal skills. She is running your business into the ground with her bad attitude, not only that you should hear her talking on the phone with your clients. I came back to my home state and had my hair cut and colored by my regular stylist in my home state. My hair was cut 1/2 inch shorter on one side than the other. The bangs were another matter. My stylist had to totally reshape them to frame my face. Would I go back to this stylist? No probably not. Looking back I see how inattentive the stylist was to leave me processing too long, the unevenness of the cut and she got done early, clearly sidestepping quality. For what I paid, I will find someone else. I live 6 months in CA and 6 months in my home state, so this isn't just a one off, I would be a regular customer. read more

This was my first time at Jeffrey Michaels. Making the appointment was easy peasy. I just needed a wash and blow dry, style. Adriana was my stylist. She was awesome. I explained my vision and she executed perfectly. I bought with me some decorative Bobby pins and some things that I find helps with volume for my hair. She patiently heard me out and did everything I wanted, while also making her suggestions. I point this out because too many hair stylists just do what they think looks best for you and are so confident they know best. She was super friendly and did a great job. Melody is a LEGEND to my hair game. You might not relate a hairdresser's work station to a chemistry lab, but in many ways it is. I began seeing Melody as a hair stylist student when she lived in Lake Tahoe. After relocating to Mission Viejo - Jeffrey Michael Salon I began seeing other stylists that were good, but there's a fine line between good and great. I recently planned a trip from Lake Tahoe to Mission Viejo to book an appointment to see Melody at Jeffrey Michael Salon. I had Melody install microbead hair extensions and color them to match my bolyage. Prior to my trip, Melody took the time to carefully consult with me virtually to prepare for my appointment before I flew out to see her. She took a lot of time to answer all my questions and everytime I messaged her, she messaged me back the same day! She made me feel important and making the trip to see her was going to be worth it. And boy, was it ever! When I arrived for my appointment Melody was 100% prepared and even came in before the salon was open to accommodate me. She had all of the hair bundles set out and ready, her hair station looked like a Henry Ford assembly line! She dyed the extension to match my Balayage and the color was SPOT ON! The service was incredible. In just a few hours the extensions were dyed, installed and cut and I have never felt more beautiful and confident as I did when I walked out of her chair that day! As I said before, there's a fine line between good and great. Melody is so passionate about her career, knowledge base, continuing education, and cares for each and every one of her clients individually, as we are all different in our own ways. She really understands that no two clients are alike and that when it comes to doing her client's hair, it's not a cookie-cutter process. Nothing compares to Melody. Holly is seriously the best I've ever had. She recommended the color and highlight strategy, and it was perfect, and she did a beautiful job on my cut... Holly is the ONLY hairdresser I've ever had work on my hair whom I didn't have to tell her/him exactly "where" I part my hair ("a little to the left of center). That may not seem like a big deal, but it is to me because it means she paid attention and customized her approach to satisfy my unique look/features. Holly is also a sweetheart, fun and easy to chat with and time went by fast... I didn't really want it to end, I was having a nice time just chatting.
