The staff was so nice I really contemplated about this rating for this review, but when I think about the amount of money paid for my main entree and how I couldn't eat half of it and the spice levels didn't match my expectation, I came to this. A 3.5 would have been more accurate quite honestly but alas, yelp has its system. I ordered the bake and fried fish and the doubles. I asked for spicy on the doubles but they didn't taste too spicy - instead I used the sauce included on my bake n fish (possibly had some scotch bonnet peppers) and it was excellent. The bake and fish came as tacos - I don't think I realized that. It was good, but only two small tacos. The french fries were unfortunately burnt and therefore dry and inedible. I gave up on eating them. We were in a hurry, otherwise, I would have chatted with the staff about possibly getting some new fries. I would give this another try --I'd likely try a few other trucks first or at least have something to accompany my meal in addition to what I order from Krave.

It's my place to go if I ever want some carribean fare near the workplace. Lots of local family vibes. I'll usually get the chicken curry dinner. Very bold and spicy flavor. The rice and peas that come with it are delicious as well and could be a dish just on their own. I'm also pleased that they let you substitute the salad for their steamed vegetables and also have their extra pepper hot sauce if you fancy a stronger kick. You can tell right away it's authentic--everything from the curry chicken to the oxtail and roti is packed with flavor. It's not watered down for the masses, it tastes like somebody in the kitchen actually knows what they're doing. They've got that Trinidad influence too, which I appreciate. You don't see that everywhere. Stuff like doubles and buss up shut on the menu is a big deal if you know what you're looking at. Portions are solid, food comes out fresh, and overall it just hits.
