Back like I've never left. This time, I ended up getting the Combo Plate with Oxtails and Curry Goat. The plate came with Rice and Peas, Cabbage, and Plantains. Like I said in the last 2 reviews, every bite of the Oxtails and Curry Goat was like I'm in heaven, melted in my mouth good. The Rice and Peas and Plantains were really good but the cabbage was not only seasoned really good but it was extremely tasty, which it's not difficult to pull off if you know what you're doing. Shae's service is unmatched every time. The cooks always do a good job. Will return again and again.

I was craving oxtail and stumble upon this place on Yelp. I called a to go order. Very friendly on the phone and gave a recommendation to try the chicken combo with jerk chicken and stew. He said the food would be ready in 15 minutes and he was right. Looks like each dish comes with plantain, some stir fried veggies and rice with peas. All of it was fairly good. Seasoned well. I really enjoyed the oxtail and how it was fall off the bone. It appears they give you a lot of chicken but be warned that the stew chicken is mostly bone and not much meat. Also the jerk chicken is a little on the dry side but they do give you a bbq dipping sauce so that helps balance that out I feel. I probably won't be ordering the chicken plate again, but I would def get oxtail if I was in the mood. P.S. you have to try the chicken curry patty. Nice spice and flavor to it. $3 only? Worth? The plates were over $20+ not a cheap meal, but I do love me some oxtail.

Tried this lil hidden spot someone suggested. The place was small but very nice and clean. I love the meat pies we end up eating about 4 of them. We ordered the oxtails combo and the jerk wings combo. We were full from the appetizers so we took the food home and it was alright I have tasted better. It was good but not amazing needed a little bit more salt or seasoning not just pepper. Now it was piping hot. And the price was affordable. I was a little bit sad because they had no tea or lemonade so I had to opt for a bottle of water. The staff were very nice and friendly when coming and going.

I am blown away by island Flavorz! This is the best jerk chicken and the best jerk wings I've had in my life. I've eaten jerk chicken all over the USA and they are doing it right here. Absolutely the best in houston. Food: the jerk chicken is grilled to perfection. The char tastes so good. Also their jerk sauce has the right amount of heat. It's very subtle but hot in a good way. Every bite was fantastic. Also their Mac n cheese , rice and cabbage was simply to die for. The plantains were amazing too. The jerk wings here are special. Not only are they the best jerk wings, this was the best wings I've ever had. Top notch. So dam amazingly good! Every single bite was great. Also we wanted oxtails but they sold out. That shows how good they are. We will definitely be coming here for many more meals to come.

I was skeptical at first. I've never had Jamaican food before, but since the boo is from Jamaica, and he wanted to find a place to enjoy food like back home. I looked up some places, read reviews, and this place is the one that won us over. It. Was. GOOD. I got the Rasta Pasta with jerk chicken. He got oxtails with steamed cabbage and rice. We kept saying how amazing the food was. Even tried the chicken patty and the flavors were amazing. Simply put, I'll be back again. It seems they have a live DJ playing Jamaican music, depending on the day; music good, food amazing, service good, just all around 10/10.

I enjoyed my first visit to this small restaurant. Currently, there is construction occurring in front of the restaurant, and parking is tight, but manageable. Great music was playing from a DJ booth with bar stools around the bar. 5/5 It is clean inside with booths, counter height tables, and a very clean women's restroom- which is always a plus. 5/5 The restaurant wasn't full, yet a steady stream of customers visited during our time there. Oz, the owner, has been in business for 6 years. He was friendly, while answering spice level entree questions. 5/5 We sat after paying. Our order was promptly brought to our table. 5/5 The servings were generous and well plated. 5/5 My party ordered Oxtail Rasta Pasta, Jerk Chicken combo meal comprised of a leg quarter cut into 5 large pieces, rice and peas, plantains, and cabbage. I prefer mild food, so I pulled off the skin. And Oz was absolutely correct, it was about a 3 out of 5 spice level, more well seasoned flavor. I enjoyed it without flames shooting from my mouth. I'd order the jerk chicken again. 5/5 I did sample the tender oxtail and the spicy pasta. 5/5 Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

June 1, 2023 No frills. No charm. No soda fountain, only bottled drinks or water. No plates (just styrofoam) plastic ware. BUT, the food...the FOOD is fresh and flavorful. we got the curry goat (tender and tasty) mac and cheese (yum) and the coconut curry shrimp--delish! Prices are moderate

Best Caribbean flavors around! Try the Rasta Pasta with Jerk Chicken and one of their signature fruit drinks. The flavor combos will keep you coming back. Everything is made from scratch and you can tell. The music and people make a chill and welcoming vibe. Everyone is always super friendly too.

Greeted by the bustling of traffic, this restaurant is surrounded by a lot of activity. Entering the building you feel a transformation into the Jamaican Culture. The food hits your nostrils and the music moves your hips. The restaurant owner took my food order. With three beef patties and a multitude of other desires, our food was ready in 20 minutes. Although the restaurant is a vibe we took our food to go. Now I'm ashamed because although we took our food to go I ate a Pattie on my thirty-minute drive home. And my Lawd... it was fresh, flakey and the meat was seasoned with a little spice. Arriving home I dug into my plate. Spicy and tasty. The best meal I've had in a while. It felt like I transformed to grandma's kitchen. I was fat, full and happy. 10/10 recommend.

The woman let me know ahead of time that the potato salad had a pink coloring due to the beets used in it; I'm glad she told me, atherwise the color would've taken my by surprise. I could barely taste the beets, but the relish and mayo were great combos. The rice was super fluffy, though the chicken was a bit bony and not as plentfiul as I am accustomed to when ordering from other Jamaican establishments. I dined in so was able to see the in and out traffic; it appears that they have steady customers, which is always a good sign! The overall vibe is super casual.

Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here.
