Adam Floyd is the owner and gave me a warm welcome, even though I did not have an appointment. He spent time showing me different options for bookcases and made a sketch on the spot to show us his idea for our very large blank wall. We scheduled a time for Adam to come over to the house to take a look at the space. He was able to design a bookcase that went along with the existing cabinets in the house. He suggested adding a desk with drawers and that was an excellent suggestion because we had not thought about the need for a desk. Adam was aware that we did not want to spend a fortune and was able to come up with a very affordable design. The timeline for all of this was very quick. Even with the Christmas/New Year's holidays, I think everything was designed, ordered and installed in about two or three weeks. Once the materials were in, the bookcase was built in one day. My husband was skeptical about the need for custom bookcases. I told him he would love it in the end and he does! The living room was transformed because of this gorgeous feature and we could not be happier. I HIGHLY recommend The Closet Company for your custom storage needs. Worst experience ever with a home project. Seems to have lied about capabilities, unprofessional,…read moreno integrity. The shower floor they installed is failing and leaking. Andrew (the owner) was informed about the leak and failed at his first attempt to fix it. Then, he did not respond to the second time i reached out about the leak and other structural concerns of the floor (water squirting up through grout when minimal pressure was applied). After a month of never hearing from Andrew in regard to the issues and concerns, i performed a leak test to get the scope of the problem, as Andrew did not test or have any kind of desire to determine what the issues truly were (i am guessing he knew but was in denial). I also informed Andrew of the test 1 month prior to doing it, and asked if he thought it would help them. SURPRISE, he did not respond. He now tells me the test i did, one time, is what caused the problem. You know, the problem that existed 1 month earlier that he never fixed or responded to. I'm no scientist... but i dont know that his timeline follows the general rules of, well... time. By the way, his floor installation failed the test sooo bad, it was sooooo bad! If not familiar with the test, google "shower pan flood test", as this is the test that is supposed to be done pre tiling to check for leaks in the pan, but it can also be done post tiling if needed (it was needed). Now, if it should pass pre tile, then why would it not pass post tile? Too much logic, i know. I guess once you put the tile down, water proofing is up in the air? Nope. You can't say i put water in a shower so it's my fault it always leaked. There is always going to be water in it, always. It's a shower. And note, the tile behind the drain is lower than the drain, so with how they installed the tile, it will always hold water in the drain area, where it leaks. So be careful, he will try and convince you he is working to make a better name for the industry, and do right by people, but in the end, he fell way short. Once he got our money he was done and avoided his responsibilities. He stopped answering my calls and texts, and he hung up on my wife when he realized who she was, rather than talking to her/us about the situation. And that was before we knew he was bailing on us, so we had no idea what his problem was until he texted later, never to talk to us about it. But i get it, guilty people often dont want to address the ones they are screwing over. And to think, we were nice and decided to just let it slide that he installed the wrong floor in our closet. He and i even talked about how much i dislike grey wood floors, yet... here we are. The end result of our project is crumbling grout lines, thinset showing through the grout, mismatched walls of tile in the guest bath, water that squirts from a shower floor with too much give (video sent to Andrew 1 month prior to leak test) and a leaking master shower.
