We just closed on our Trinity house. I would not recommend working with them unless you have 12-16 months to get your house completed. (They promise 7-9 months, it's more like 7+9 months) We had 3-4 foremen, as they kept quiting and every time someone quit, construction was halted. Then the day before we were to close, we were surprised with needing a retaining wall at OUR expense. Which caused us to go more than $10,000 over budget, which can't be added to our mortgage loan. We couldn't close and get our certificate of occupancy until we got the retaining wall. If you have over a year to build your house and don't mind going over budget, then choose Trinity Homes as your builder. read more

Read the fine lines , as if you have an issue they will tell you that it's an option , but they didn't give you that option to choose ftom to begin with. This company expect you to know everything there is in building a house. They built my first custom home and I was very disappointed that I end up putting it in the market on the first month after the CO was given. They are after your money but don't really care about you as homeowner. Typical ! So for first time home custom built , do your homework and the due diligence. Started my house in July of 2021 and finished in September of 2022 so it took them 13 months to complete a very small and very simple wood frame house. at one point they quit working completely for a month and I had to hire a lawyer to force them to start working again. O stars - i wish I would of been better at reading this - Jerry from Elijay and his minions are the most rude , and disrespectful group of men I have ever met . My home took over two years - cost me thousands 5 different superintendents - none of which I were told was going to change . Now I'm trying to get things repaired in the warranty and they are blaming me for all the miscommunication - and frankly putting words in my mouth ! Asked me if I have personal problems ! , when I get angry . Or just want to hang up on u . These men are disgusting . I built my dream home or so I thought , for shoddy work , and terrible subs . I would rather burn my house to the ground vs live in it - because it's been a nightmare . I will forever bad mouth them - Run run run !!!!! read more

Just closed on my second home with Trinity. Used them again because the communication, quality of products and professionalism through the entire process was the standards I was hoping for. I signed a contract with Trinity custom homes July of 2021. It has now been 9 months and my house is still not complete. The project has been a disaster. Everything that could be screwed up has been. They even tried to cheat me by installing an inferior non specified product for roof sheathing without telling me. I have been a construction project manager for over 40 years and this is the worst job that I have ever see. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My family started the building process back in October 2021 skip ahead to today April 29th 2022 and the only thing this "builder" has done was lay gravel last week. This entire process has been a complete disaster. I would never recommend this company to anyone who will listen! My family has done all of the leg work with pulling permits and everything else. Now the Superintendent is offended because we are upset and finally sticking up for ourself. We are currently waiting on our contract to be terminated and our deposit refunded so that we can take our business to a better equipped and reputable company that actually cares about their clients. read more

The absolute worst. The Ellijay, GA office manager called me stupid for reporting a significant plumbing leak. He asked me if this was some scam and asked for my social security number. I have had more problems with this home than I would have liked to. This office manager could not listen and attempt to understand the problem. I signed my contract with Trinity in November 2022 and had financing secured the next month. For the last two months, there has been about one week of work left to complete. As of today, There is a handful of things that could be completed in one day. It has been one delay after another. I was told three months ago that it was "almost there", so I repacked my things and let my daughter give her notice at work, thinking we should be in the house in at MOST a month. No one can give me any definite date or timeline, and every time I think we are making progress, it stops. This has been the worst experience ever. Trinity has zero regard for their customers. I can't even prepare for moving, because every time I trust that it is "almost done", it isn't. I have been living in a "next week or two" limbo for THREE MONTHS. The drywallers covered the fridge water line months ago, and I noticed that there were zero internet/cable jacks. I am a work-from-home tech professional. I pointed it out, and one jack was installed in the living room (I'm okay with that solution, but it shouldn't have been an issue to begin with- my contract and plans clearly had 4 jacks on it). There was no doorbell/chime installed, and I've yet to see any shutters on a house that is 99% complete. The painters clogged the bathroom fans with paint, and they are inoperable. Friends in construction have come to see the house and said it was the most unprofessional job they'd ever seen. read more

If there were a negative star rating, Jerry Bobak, the owner of Trinity Custom Homes would get it. Note the "extremely positive" reviews on Yelp for TCH that all came in at once... within a few days of each other, and some on the same day... and with comments back from one of their sales people. It just does not happen that way. This company is horrible. Very selfish, dishonest, disrespectful, atrocious customer service (as in zero). Pay close attention to the negative reviews on this page. Those are the truthful reviews. Trinity became very desperate and either created fictitious people to post positive reviews or got friends and relatives to do it. Those positive reviews are quite simply inconsistent with the way this company runs their business and treats their customers. Stay away from this company, it will cost you a LOT of money in overages, fixing their problems, and lost time dealing with their inept operations. read more

Trinity tried to pour the slab for the kitchen door 3 times. They never sent a mason, just some random guy. The concrete guy i hired, thought the job Trinity did was funny. I did not, it cost me 600 bucks to fix. YAY TRINITY ! read more

Beware Trinity is nothing but a problem I signed a contract in 2021 and they've been nothing but a headache. Any concerns we have pointed out there response is either that's normal or we can tape it or patch it. I had a company come out and complete an inspection and so many things where found when I had a meeting with Trinity they refused to look at the inspection saying they couldn't believe I paid someone to come out and point out things wrong with there work and that the inspector wasn't qualified because anyone could get a license online to be an inspector but I did point out the inspector has been in business over 20 years. Hole are in plywood inside home and in garage broken rafters house was only partially waterproof wrong windows were placed and they said if I want other windows I will be charged an upgrade fee plus charged to remove and place new ones. Foundation is cracking on front of house water is sitting under crawl space the list just goes on. Please run from these people and save your self lots of headaches. read more

We've been looking to have a custom home built. I sent Trinity a message through the website. No reply. Contacted Trinity direct. They have an issue with responding to emails. Unbelievably slow response time. So I visited their office in Ellijay. I will say the gentleman was nice. He apologized for not responding. However, after that, again the response time was extremely slow. If I hadn't physically gone to their office, in one months time, I would have been nowhere in my planning stage. After reading that they are very slow in their building process, sometimes up to a year, I decided that this would not work for us. From all the information that I've gathered, and that what I've seen myself, I would have to estimate from the initial contact to the finished product will take about a year and a half. I'm 65 years old, and that's just too long to wait. It's a shame as we really liked one of their homes in their gallery. Even after sending them a polite email deciding not to build, after a week never received a reply! read more

We are coming up on our 10th year of our structural warranty and these people have still not fixed our issues. There are 3 dissatisfied customers in our county that we know of that Trinity built. The Trinity Split is the style home. My husband called to get a resolution to this problem and spoke to Nate at the Warner Robins office, great guy and excellent customer service skills. However, CEO Jerry Boback called my husband back today and was extremely rude and unprofessional. We are in the process of legal proceedings. read more

We live in a nice community with what I consider to be reasonable covenants. Two other builders have built in here, and their homes were very nice and in compliance. Trinity built one home and left it with two major items unfinished. I made a short visit to Trinity with a copy of our covenants to ask if they were going to complete the missing work. They became very defensive and said they have nothing to do with covenants. They treated what could have been a potential customer, extremely unprofessionally. Really? They are the builders! Shouldn't a builder exercise due diligence, review covenants and ensure their home complies with community covenants? The home owner should not have to tell a builder how to do their job. If you are building on unrestricted land, then you have no worries. However, if you are planning to build in a community, I would encourage selecting a responsible builder that will consider all pertinent aspects of construction, including covenants. read more

Buyer Beware!!! All those things they tell you up front to get you on the hook are lies. The time guarantee is worthless because they will either 1) ignore it and pay the $1000, or 2) process a change order which resets the clock. We signed the contract in November of 2017 and they didn't break ground until April 2018. Then the site went untouched until July. House was finally completed in early November only after I took a week's vacation and bird-dogged the job supervisor to get things done before the 1 year expiration of our construction loan. We went ahead and closed on the house without final grading due to weather. Final grading was never completed...once they closed on the house and got their money, they were done. They claimed that final grading was an allowance item and no money was put aside for it. I've tried multiple times to reach the head of the company in Ellijay and he has ignored all messages. To sum it up, Trinity is a crappy company run by crappy people. The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because, despite it all, they actually built a good house. read more
