She is very professional and easy to talk to. She said my complaint is a common one. At the conclusion of the testing, she took her time explaining what all the results were. My husband came with me to my second appointment. I tried several different hearing aides indoors and out door to see which one worked the best. She even had my husband go down the hall and speak to me to see which pair helped the most! I ordered the aides that were most helpful and returned to have Dr Holden to build a hearing program for me. Since then, I've returned for a little program tweaking. I am very satisfied with my hearing aides and with Dr Holden and staff.

    This is a sad day for those who protect this country, which includes Frisco, Texas. I am a…read moremilitary veteran that has the military "Tri-Care" insurance. I was referred to and advised that Collin County ENT would take Tri-Care. Truth is that they do take Tri-Care and it is in network, but only as a secondary insurance, not a primary insurance (According to the receptionist that I spoke to it is office dependent, so they can make their own rules). So, what do veterans do when they do not have additional insurance? I think this is a very poor stance when your duties are to help. You only help when it benefits you as the Doctor. What a work-around to allow this organization to charge more for service. I know that doctors who support military veterans take more of a loss. It's a given but when you say you do but there's a catch, you are just spitting in the face of those who served to allow you to skate around the issue of possibly taking less money for the same payment. This is just so frustrating to know that I pay a lot for my military "Tri-Care Prime" insurance. More than most who may be transiting through this office (if they pay anything at all) but only to be told your second rate. Pathetic! I'm sure you have the ability to find my name. If your smart enough you will have my contact details and you can contact me. However, I may put you at the bottom of the list to return your call.

I spent close to 30 minutes pre-filling out docs to be prepared the day of the appointment. I showed up early an after check in waited in the lobby for 45 minutes. I even checked because 6 people that came in after me we sent back. A couple completed their visit and left before I was sent back. After I was sent back I was informed that it would be another 20-30 minutes before I saw the doctor. At this point I elected to get up and leave. I was asked if I wanted to call back to reschedule to which I declined. They obviously have too many patients if the wait times are this lengthy. I'm sure from the other review that they are fine doctors especially considering the patient load but to have this experience is rude and dis-courteous. I wouldn't dream of showing up to any appointment late like this.

So, I called and got an appointment with whomever is now at Hearing Services of McKinney, because I have not been hearing very well with my hearing aids that I spent $6,000 for several years ago. A young woman wearing jeans, looking like she was getting reading to clean her garage, called me to the exam room and took my hearing aids. She left the room with them and came back about 15 minutes later and told me that that there was nothing wrong with my hearing aids, but since they were more than four years old, I should get a new pair. She mentioned that the price has now increased by $1,000, so new ones would be $7,000. She did not bother to test my hearing, nor did she bother to tell me that she could adjust the hearing aids I have now. She said the only thing my hearing aids were doing now was to amplify. I left in a daze, being a retired teacher, wondering how in the world I would be able to afford $7,000 or more each four years. It dawned on me after I got home that she had told me that there was nothing wrong with my present hearing aids, and that she did not offer me any option but to purchase new ones. Neither did she test my hearing (why does a person make an appointment with an audiologist, but to have their hearing tested and corrected)? So, I paid $65 for this person, Ms. Gilbo, to do a whole lot of nothing for me. I believe she completely led me astray, did not bother to offer me any solution except to spend a fortune on new aids, and then lied to me when I called her and expressed my concern. Do not waste your hard-earned money on this shyster!

I arrive, and there is a different practice (not an ENT) in that space. I called them and was on hold for 15 minutes, only to find out that my appointment was in McKinney; they don't even know how or why I was given that address, and it will be another full month before I can be seen. It did not matter that I have hearing loss as a result of the sinus infection and that my PCP suspects a fungal infection. Then I asked to be put on a cancellation list, and they informed me that they do not have one. I would need to call in every day and check if they have had any cancellations. I'll keep my appointment scheduled for a month away, but I'm going to call my PCP and get a different ENT.

My whole house got sick, we all started feeling it Sunday (New Years) morning and it progressively got worst. In fact I lost my voice, it hurt to much to swallow and even lift my head. Sure enough the house got COVID. I had an appointment on Tuesday and Monday (the day before) they were closed. I called in Monday not knowing they were closed and didn't leave a message because frankly I was so sick, I was just trying to be courteous hoping to get a live person, when I heard the answering machine I just hung up. Tuesday comes around and I got up to make sure I call right at 9:01am and tell them how sick we were and we'd like to reschedule our 2PM appointment. It was very clear I was sick bc I don't have my voice. The lady said she would ask how to handle that and when she got back on the phone said, sorry the policy is that you have to show up or we will charge you a late cancellation fee. I then said, so you guys want us to come and both my son and I both have COVID? She said "well you can bring a doctor's note"... huh? I barely have energy to leave the house for 1 appointment you're asking me to go to the doctors now? Lol comedy. Nope, we'll be there at 2PM. I find it absolutely unsympathetic and ridiculous that in a scenario such as this there is no empathy or consideration. I've been going here for the past 4yrs or so and have had NO track record of cancellations, but they treat me as if I am a frequent cancellation customer... in fact we moved to Carrollton which isn't close and we decided to still keep our business here. To top it off, we get here at 1:49 our appointment is at 2:00 and they didn't see us until 2:30 . What exactly is the point of an appointment when you can't follow it? This will be our last visit.

Unfortunately, my hearing aids failed me a few weeks ago and I brought it to your office. The receptionists (apologize if I used wrong term) were great, easy-going, professional and told me to leave my old one with them. They left me message that my new hearing aids were ready, but I only picked it up on Monday as we were on vacation. When I got home, I found it almost impossible for a neophyte to put it together. I made an appointment with Dr. Rinker to solicit his assistance. When I got there early today, one of the receptionists came out to help me set it up. There were some communication issues with my iPhone, and she took it and worked on it. While waiting for my hearing aids, I noticed the other receptionist came out and sat down with a hard of hearing patient to complete some questionnaire. She was great, as she worked through the questions with caring patience. My receptionist came back with my hearing aids and told me that it's all fixed now. I did not need to see Dr. Rinker, so I could leave. What I am REALLY impressed with is the cheerful attitude of your receptionists and Dr. Rinker; you are very fortunate to have these people work in your office and I am sure other patients will know the same service that comes with it.
