Small acts of care and communication can make a significant difference in a patient's experience, especially when they are in pain. Because of this follow-up and willingness to help, I have updated my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. ------------------------------------------------- At 9:17 AM on 6/10/2026, I received a follow-up call from Amber regarding my appointment. During our conversation, I shared the same concerns I had previously expressed--that I had not yet experienced any relief from the gel that was placed in my ear canal during my visit. Amber was professional and explained that relief may take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. My review is intended to be honest, transparent, and reflective of my real-life experience.I have only been back in Dallas for three weeks and am still getting established with healthcare providers in the area. Like any patient, I came seeking help, relief, and guidance. My sincere hope is to be happy, healed, and thriving, and I look forward to feeling better soon. ----------------------------------------------- I want to start by saying that Amber was very professional and helpful. She worked with me to get an appointment scheduled for the very next day, which I truly appreciated. The medical assistant who checked me in was also kind, professional, and even offered me Tylenol because she could see that I was in pain. Unfortunately, my experience after seeing the doctor left me feeling disappointed. I came in with a swollen ear canal and severe throbbing pain. The doctor asked a few questions, applied some gel in my ear, and the visit felt very quick. I left feeling much the same as I did when I arrived, with little understanding of the treatment plan and no immediate relief from my symptoms. My appointment was at 1:15 PM, and as I write this at 5:26 PM, I am still experiencing significant pain. My blood pressure was elevated during the visit, which is unusual for me, but I believe it was due to the level of discomfort I was experiencing. I chose this provider because of the excellent reviews, so I was hopeful that I would receive more relief and guidance. At this point, I feel discouraged and uncertain about whether I should return for my follow-up appointment or seek care from another provider. I also feel that the $84 visit did not provide the value or relief I was expecting. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff, but I hope future patients with acute pain receive a more thorough evaluation, clearer communication, and a treatment plan that helps address their symptoms more effectively. One additional consideration for patients is that there is no courtesy parking available in parking lot 3.

I was in so much pain from impacted wax and accidentally yelled the f word at one point during the procedure. AMBER the front desk lady, came in the room immediately out of nowhere, held my hand and was extremely reassuring. I squeezed the heck out of her hand and she was a rock for me, truly above and beyond bedside manner. When I pointed this out to her, she basically tells me that she doesn't want any further communication from me. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere more professional. I don't know who this owner "Debbie" is, but I don't think she knows the first thing about customer service. I will take my business somewhere else. After many years of using them I don't forgive rudeness and such unprofessionalism. They don't deserve your money either, go somewhere else where you'll be treated more courteously.

This was not accurate, as my insurance PA was approved and insurance paid their share with a different surgeon despite not having 12 months of continuous therapy. No where in my policy did it state this was necessary, and this was confirmed by the insurance company. Not only was this an inaccurate statement, but it was insisted upon in an extremely rude manner, as if I or my insurance company did not know what we were talking about. I'm not sure why they insisted and continue to insist that this was/is true when it factually was/is false. It's one thing to have an office policy that patients must undergo 12 months of therapy to schedule surgery, but do not lie and say that this is a requirement when it's not. Alan Dulin or the AIfPS also doesn't appear in the bcbs blue card PPO provider directory, which might indicate that he/the practice is not actually in network with bcbs PPO plans. Lastly, pictures were taken during my consult, which did not happen with my actual surgeon. When I asked him why he didn't take pictures, he said that wasn't a standard experience during a consultation. In retrospect and after the negative experience with their insurance coordinator, that made me uncomfortable. Would have made more sense to do this before surgery when I was a confirmed patient.
