The DART is clean, safe, quick, has extensive coverage, and comfortable. Every time I've ridden there was a cop at least part of the way. I would look at a map before you arrive and before you leave. If you're young you might have someone old show you what I mean by "looking at a map," and if you're old like me, have someone younger show you how to use Google maps- public transportation on your phone.

DART from DFW can take you a long way at a very affordable price. It's a short walk from the A-1 end of the A terminal, just go downstairs on the elevator from baggage claim and follow the signs. It is highly likely that the fare machines won't work - it's been about 50/50. The train is modern but the seats are hard. It tends to provide shelter for many homeless on occasion; I've never had an issue but there are usually some disconcerting folks aboard. If you have to transfer try not to do it at one of the downtown stops - they are sketchey at best. Even if you have to overshoot by a stop or 2 and double back you'll feel safer. It's a metro area public transportation system - there are worse. Just keep aware of your surroundings and don't travel late night.

Recently visited Dallas and went through the Fort Worth International Airport.. super awesome…read moreairport.. looked very neat, clean and huge.. security clearance and other things were really quick.. lots of restaurants and shops on the way to the terminal.. Rental car facility is slightly far, but there were buses to the facility.. takes about 10 minutes from the airport.. in hot summer it's really difficult to stand outside for the bus to go to the rental.. when I visited it was about 100F and had to stand out for 10'mins not knowing when the bus will arrive . Baggage carousel is good and just outside the exit . Good experience overall . The only issue with this airport is we had to pay a charge to get into the airport, even if we had to just drop somebody on the departure.. although it's not too expensive I wish they just made it free.. costed bout 3$ but had to pay every time if we are going inside the airport.. never saw that with any airports in New York New Jersey area..

I was traveling with two members of my staff, and the way we were treated made us feel as though we were common criminals. We were subjected to extensive searches, and our luggage was thoroughly gone through without any clear explanation. While I understand and respect the importance of airport security, there is a way to conduct screenings professionally and respectfully. This experience was in stark contrast to my usual trips through Dallas Love Field, where the security process has consistently been efficient, courteous, and far less intrusive. Unfortunately, my experience at DFW left a very negative impression, and I hope the airport reviews its screening procedures to ensure travelers are treated with dignity while maintaining security.

Customer service lied to us about the destination we were rerouted to, said it was only a 48 min. drive to our destination, was actually 3 hours away in the dark and had to drive through the icey mountainous roads, and pay over$300 for a rental car. Putting my family in danger.... Was not compensated the money either for the previous tickets. Never going to Dallas ( the construction nightmare city of Texas) or use American Airlines or DFW ever again. Horrible service and experience.

The station is literally on-campus, so you can get to and from North Lake without having to battle traffic. Thank goodness for Skylink!…read more If you ever traveled through Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) you would be amazed at the shear size of this airport. This morning when I was catching my flight home, I swear my flight was leaving from Terminal C, but when I checked in at American Airlines at DFW, my actual flight was leaving from Terminal A. What to do??? Skylink my friends....... Just watch for the signs within the airport terminal for the Skylink, take the escalator up to the top of the airport terminal and jump on the orange rail thingy. The Skylink rail car does have a few seats, but it's mostly for riders to stand. Using Skylink rail is a very convenient way to get around this massive airport, especially if you're in a rush to navigate between the airport terminals.
