It was a lot of work getting things handled and the right way. It's a third party so there's a lot of confusion between departments. At the end of the day the pannels aren't where we agreed. Not once was I contacted to discuss before drilling into my roof. So that alone should say a lot. After addressing these issues I told them please do not turn anything on until we discuss and a day later we were turned on. No call back. Very disappointed and regret using them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO OR HEAR FROM OTHERS. Almost an entire year to get the panels turned on and then they broke my intenet. Read all details below: A level of incompetence you'd need to experience to believe. We signed on with them in March of 2025. They installed the panels in May of 2025. The panels were installed on the far left of my roof by 2 guys, one of which could not have been more immature and unprofessional with the way he was talking outside my house about doing drugs, getting drunk, and the girls hes been with. When they were done, I noticed there were 2 less panels than they originally told me there would be. My wife, who didnt want them on the front of our house to begin with, asked that they simply come back and center the panels on the roof. That took another several weeks. Then, our "pre-approval" apparently expired because they were too incompetent to ask that it be extended while they were sorting things out on their end since the finance company that originally pre-approved us went bankrupt. It took several more months to finally get a new company to put forth the approval. From there, it was another couple of months before the panels were activated finally in February of 2026. Almost a full year since we signed on with Trinity. But wait, theres more!! I heard from the representative I had been dealing with and he asked if they could come install a monitoring device to my electric panel. I asked if it was a requirement because I really didnt want them coming back to my house. He told me it was recommended and free. I did not respond but he scheduled the service anyway. Two young kids show up the next day to install the monitoring system and guess what! They broke the fiber cable for my internet. So I had to call Verizon to get them to send a tech to fix it and I demanded that Trinity reimburse me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO OR HEAR FROM OTHERS. At 5:50 I called to cancel, and the person on the phone was apologetic, but said that an attempt was made to contact me about the delay. NOT TRUE. Do not do business with this company. They are unreliable. They installed my equipment on the wrong side of my home, defacing the entire front. They have failed numerous electrical inspections and fail to contact us about progress or what they are doing to activate our system. just had two young men come to my door to schedule me an appointment for a consultation. One was doing the talking and said he was training the other. I told them I really wasn't a good candidate for solar because my neighbor has a giant oak tree that covers my entire southern exposure. They told me they were just at my neighbors and she's interested in solar and might be taking that tree down and they were doing a consultation at her house at 3 PM on Monday. They said they could schedule me for 3:30 and I said OK because if my neighbor is finally going to take down that tree, I might be interested. Right after they left, I texted my neighbor. And it turned out their story was total BS. She told them she wasn't interested turned them away. I don't know how this one guy was training the other guy, but I guess it was in how to lie and scam people. Not only did I cancel my appointment. Dangerous Negligence and Predatory Business Tactics - Trinity Solar is a Risk to Your Home I had two solar panels stop producing for months, and Trinity didn't catch it. I only found out when I called them and inquired. They told me they would send inspectors. Then, without any warning, notice, or permission, I came home to find they had removed two panels from my roof.(I owned them) So I liken this to calling a mechanic to check out your car and coming home to find your engine missing. They told me the panels weren't covered and demanded over $1,700 to replace them, including $700 for "critter guards" I never asked for and didn't need..they just snuck them in the bill. They even tried to upsell me more panels (that I didn't need) and suggested I refer friends while my system was still broken. Even worse, there was a fire on my roof caused by their system. It could have spread, and burnt my house down killing my loved ones, and wouldn't have been covered by homeowners insurance or the solar warranty due to the indirect nature of the fire. Trinity then offered a "courtesy" shingle repair. However, the document they sent to sign included language that would have waived them from all present and future liability. It was sleazy lawyer language they snuck into a contract disguised as a run of the mill insignificant agreement to repair. I believe this is why they offer a courtesy repair in the first place. There is a reason they say nothing in this world is free. I called over 15 times over a period of three months! They may have returned one or two of those calls, but most were ignored. Or they would say they were calling back first thing and never do so. For nearly three months, I had missing panels, a damaged roof, and no answers. Trinity Solar is not just unprofessional, they're predatory. They profit from your problems, deflect responsibility, and use manipulative legal language to protect themselves after putting your home at risk. Avoid Trinity Solar at all costs. I don't write reviews often, but these people are unsavory, and that's being kind. We hired Trinity Solar to install solar panels on our roof. They needed to cut down some trees in the yard before installing the panels, however there was a tree near a power line so they hired PSE&G to remove it. When PSE&G finished the job they left the tree cut in large pieces all over the front yard for two weeks during the spring which rained nearly every day. Unfortunately it caused the huge logs to sink into the grass causing depressions deep into the lawn which needs to be leveled now. It also killed all the grass where the logs sat. After tree removal they didn't even put grass seed on the bald spots where the tree was removed from along with the places the huge logs fell when cut. Cost for leveling and seed is $500. The backyard tree that was removed has a stump standing 6' tall because the chain link fence that existed for 50 years had the tree grow around it making it impossible to cut the stump lower. They left it and told us to have the fence removed and they'll come and cut it down further. We paid $1500 to have the fence removed, they still haven't come to cut it down. We would have never removed that fence, as it was not an issue until they cut the tree down. We have been in contact with many of the employees at Trinity and have been told the invoice was approved, but now they're telling us the invoice needs to be a paid receipt instead, which no business gives unless they complete the work which they have not. The fence has been paid, but the front yard hasn't been leveled or seeded because we don't have any more money to do this work, nor should we have to come out of pocket any more. We were promised many times verbally and in text messages which we still have that we would be compensated, but they refuse to pay us what's owed. The panels are on our roof now, and the power is yet to be turned on, and we are feeling very taken advantage of due to my and my husband's disabilities. Please help us. They told me I "should have called them first." My solar system was installed by Trinity in 2015 on my 20 year old roof with 3 layers of shingles and damaged the roof in the process. The system stopped working in June 2019 and till now (May 24th 2021) it is not repaired. I've been fighting with Trinity and Sunnova over the repairs for years. Finally I gave up. Recently the North Hempstead Town office called and told me that there is a work permit opened by Trinity Solar and need to be closed. Ever since I am trying to reach Trinity again and they don't have an answer. Don't know what to do now. So please be very careful if you are planning to use them. 100% great experience with Trinity! From the sales rep Robbie Collins to the installation! Day 1 after speaking with Robbie I had a good feeling about the company....and he's was ALWAYS available to answer questions along the way while awaiting for the permit approval. Didn't matter what day or time, he always responded by texting or calling to get and my questions. If he didn't have the answer, he got me answer almost immediately, which told me that this company works well together. The process was very personal personable, thorough, easy and fast- with the exception of the town permitting process. Installation day, lead tech Ian and his crew worked efficiently together. I could hear them constantly communicating through job. Ian was meticulous about details and made sure his crew was very organized. He explained every thing to me along the way. There was never a mess, they were all VERY polite and conscientious about keeping the gate closed so my dogs wouldn't get out and respectful of my property. Once you have signed on the dotted line you become an afterthought to them from the salesman to the concierge team, the absolute worst. Installation was done without a permit from my township and it took forever for them to get this permit. The plan for the project was drawn incorrectly so the township would not approve. I would not sign any of their documents until I knew we had approval for the township so they hounded me mercilessly, including having two different district managers call to harass me. I specifically asked the sales rep if they worked directly with Nyserda and he assured me they did, as I was already approved through Nyserda for this work and told him this during our phone conversation. I agreed to meet with them again to finalize numbers. On a Friday night the rep sat there and wasted almost two hours of my time; Monday morning they called to say they do NOT work with Nyserda. This is because they wanted me to take their high interest funding instead. Would NEVER work with this company and I am letting all my friends, neighbors, etc know.
