My A/C conked out on a very hot Saturday. I called my regular guy, he couldn't come until Wednesday and wanted to charge $180 for a diagnostic. Found Phil online, he was there the next day - a Sunday morning! - by 8 am FOR FREE. I ended up needing a new compressor, which he and his courteous 2 man team installed a couple of days later for a very fair price. Now my house is cool and I have a new A/C + Heating + HVAC guy who I would happily recommend to anyone. I even signed up for Yelp just to help spread the word. read more

I posted about midnight that my grandmother's house's boiler was not giving heat to the radiators. Even though it was not an emergency, Phil called me within 5 minutes with an agreeable plan of attack (service plan). Even though it was not an emergency, we came up with a fast and acceptable plan to get the system fixed, serviced, and up to speed. I'll re-post when the service is completed. read more

Fantastic service at reasonable cost. I called on a week night around 8pm assuming I'd get an answering machine. I was wrong. Pete picked up and spent quite a bit of time with me figuring out the problem. Unfortunately, the problem was that I needed a new air conditioner. He's not the first person who had told me this, but he was the first one to walk me through why, and allay my skepticism. Anyway, once we agreed on this, he put fuel into my existing piece of crap to keep the house cool for my family while I was away, and called each day to confirm the House was still cool. Finally, he came back a couple of days later and spent two days installing a new top-shelf system that was actually the right size for my house. We were extremely happy across the board. Would definitely recommend. Especially after the crappy service I received from several other HVAC services in the area. read more

Have to retract my previous 5 star rating. Last year I was helped quickly which motivated me to purchase a service contract for all of my units. Last night I did have an issue and when I called I got a VM. I did get a call back, not sure who but was told I could not be seen for 2 days. When I then asked if pictures could be reviewed for review my issue I was told yes and I would get a call back. That call back never happened. The next day, (today) I have still not received a call back. I had to call another company that promptly showed. Very disappointed that I spent extra money on a service contract for emergencies that was not fulfilled. I am now considering all of my options against All Island. read more

Had an excellent experience with this company..i had a heating problem with my boiler and Phil came promptly, diagnosed the problem and sent over his two workers, Willy and Lou... They put in a new pump and cleaned my system and got everything tip top.I was surprised by how much they knew about my system .They were the nicest guys! Two hours and my heating system is working perfectly again....I would recommend and use them again if i ever have a problem..the price was fair, the work was done cleanly and efficiently!!!Most importantly they were HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY. All Island made a definite appointment with me on a Thursday to come on Saturday afternoon for my broken A/C. First they put back their arrival time, and then "bumped me" for one of their customers with a service contract and said they couldn't come at all. I waited two days in a sweltering house for them and then they bumped me! I canceled and went with someone else. Also, on Thursday, the owner asked me to text him all the info about the the A/C. and on Saturday he was asking me about the unit as if he had never read the text. read more

Spoke to Phil to make an appointment for a typical cleaning. Other companies reached out to me that were cheaper and could clean my boiler sooner however I had committed to his company so I turned them down. Was scheduled for three days later and a window of 2 hours for arrival. Waited at the appropriate time and he was a no call and no show as well as would not return my call. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO FRIENDS OR FAMILY!! Please be careful when calling this company. read more

Had another HVAC contractor leave my a/c unit frozen and not cooling. Called Phil came over and he troubleshooted problem spent 2-3 hours fixing the unit and explained all the issues. Excellent job and service. read more

BEWARE.....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They did a job for me that was supposed to take 3 days and ended up taking 2 months. They showed up whenever they wanted and the owner told a pack of lies about why they didn't show up. 1 star is too kind for them. There are many honest companies out there that will do right by you. Phil and his assistant William were as good as they come. Our 3 1/2 ton unit was blown, and had to be replaced. Phil promised to be here the next morning with the new unit by 9 a.m. Guess what, he was here at 8:45...got started by about 9, and was out the door at 10:00 a.m. The house was cooling down as promised, and all I have is praise for All Island Heating & Air Conditioning. His price was fair, and Phil & William came across as very honest guys.....which is hard to find these days. I highly recommend them as they did a nice clean job, and were very professional......plus they knew what they were doing! I will be a customer for life with these guys! read more

K, I can't believe how good these guys actually r. Everything was explained to us and he will not allow any of the work on your home be anything but excellent. We just bought our house and on move in day (during the hottest week of summer so far) we had no AC!!! I called All Island on the 4th of July just hoping to leave a message and they answered! Not only did they answer they sent a team of three guys out the next morning. Our AC was shot and the managed to install a brand new unit all in one day. Also got a follow up call to check in and make sure all was well. Couldn't be happier! Thank you!!! read more

If I could give 0 star that would be a blessing for this joke of a service provider. Contacted them over 25 accounted times via email, text, and phone calls weekly for over three moths now. I offered them a $25K plumbing and ac job on a property. They were happy to take it but never sent me the written quote or their license information and insurance. They caused me over $15K in carrying costs on this property because I am builder and could not get the plans filed. I would never recommend them to anyone and have told all builders in the Bethpage, Hicksville area not use these clowns. Phil is a book of excuses from "the email won't send, to I'm having surgery, to I am sick to, ill drop it off in person". His brother is no better. If this is how long it takes to email a document, im glad i didn't sign contracts or give them a downpayment. These unprofessionals would take years to complete the job. Just stay away and contact someone else. I promise you, you will regret working with them. People like them deserve to be blacklisted from the community. read more

What an amazing experience we had today with All Island Heating & Air Conditioning. Our heating unit wasn't working correctly, they came quickly, were able to diagnose the problem and have us up and running in just a couple of days with a new heating unit and water burner. Their prices were fair, the workers were personable and honest, and their work was to code. I was amazed how they cleaned up and followed up this evening with a phone call to see how everything was going. I highly recommend All Island Heating & Air Conditioning if you want the job done right! read more

I can't recommend. Phil, in my opinion, is only interested in new customers so he can charge in excess of $1,000 to do work. If he owes you something, like a filter, it will be weeks before you see him again. You will get story after story about how he is only an hour away and he never shows. If you want him to follow up with a normal maintenance in the year following his $1,000 work, he no shows. He does not respect his customers time. Look elsewhere. read more

I wanted so much to give them a good review. Unfortunately, they turned out to be a huge disappointment. The job which should have taken 2 days took 3.5 days. I had them install a new boiler and hot water tank. The wiring was done incorrectly and the heat didn't turn off the first day. It became sweltering hot. When the owner Phil came back, he did the wiring wrong again and my basement thermostat controlled the 2nd floor and I didn't figure this out for a week since it was warm outside. Then I asked why he reused my old Taco relay when I paid him thousands to install everything new and Phil told me the old one worked fine. He then promised to come back and replace with a new Taco relay. I called him back 3 times to which he said he would come on a certain day and never showed up each time he said he would. I paid him already so I guess he figured why does he need to come back. I'm not begging him to come back and do the work he promised. Also, the quote he originally gave me was a really low one just to get his foot in the door. When he got to my house, he said it's going to be more money for whatever reason. The day the job was supposed to be done he canceled and said the boiler didn't arrive. The workers did a good job but I know Phil was not honest with me about many things. Thankfully my heat does work now otherwise they would get 1 star. I was very patient with all the different mistakes and stories I was told and gave Phil several chances to come back as I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, when someone doesn't keep their word and tries to mislead you many times, you can't trust them. There's more I could put in here but my 2 stars is enough for you to stay away form this company. Spend more for better service and honesty. read more
