I went from one zone of central air and converted it to 2 zones with ac and heat. To say it has been a disaster has been an understatement. When they put the new system in I told them of a particular room that didn't stay as cool as the rest of the house. They said they would make sure to take care of it. Well the new system actually works worse than my 20 year old single zone system. A few highlights On one hot day the thermostat upstairs is set at 68. My sons room is well over 73 degrees The hot room that was a problem is 74-75 degrees on hot days even though my thermostat is set at 68. The basement renovation they decided to put only one vent all the way on the back by the Bilco door. In the winter the basement is 61 degrees while the thermostat is set at 70 on the first floor. They had to come out here 4 times before they realized they wired the system incorrectly when they installed it I don't expect exact temperature match with the thermostats in every room. But when I drop 40k plus a new system it should be pretty damn close. They often send guys out and say they will come back or talk to the owner about the problem. They never do. Stay far away

He recommended we replace our handler and condenser with a larger unit to compensate for the extra room, plus our equipment was nearing the end of it's life cycle age wise. It just constantly felt like it was running to make the house cold. He also added a supply and return in the small addition. We had the system put in during October 2022. Joe and his team are always extremely knowledgeable and a really nice group of people. Joe has an after hours messaging center which is 24 hours, and his team is always well equipped. Joe himself even came out a couple of times to help us with things. We are very pleased with the work and promptness that Joe and his team provide. Unfortunately, the customer service we received was incredibly disappointing. The representative I spoke with stated that she was the owner, yet she was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the conversation. When I pointed out that she was being rude, rather than trying to resolve the issue or offer assistance, she hung up on me. When your air conditioning is down, especially during the summer, you expect the company that installed your system to stand behind their work and treat customers with respect. Instead, we were met with hostility and a complete lack of professionalism. If the person representing the company--and identifying herself as the owner--treats customers this way, it says a lot about how the business operates. Hanging up on a customer is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company and will be taking my business elsewhere. Since we were unable to get help from the company that installed our system, we were forced to pay another HVAC company to assess the issue. Their technician found melted, burnt electrical wiring in the system and due to the high heat the screw welded to the metal. We are fortunate our house did not burn down.

The install went fine & the unit is working well. HOWEVER, I tried numerous times to contact this company by phone & email. & got no response back. (It's like they fell off the face of the earth)!! So I called Soundview & requested that a tech come down to look at a new thermostat I was looking to install. They sent Justin. He could not have been nicer, helpful & informative. He told me that the A/C unit I have does not require a multi stage thermostat & as such, I can return it to Walmart saving me $270. He also explained that the unit though not top of the line, was a good reliable unit that only requires the thermostat I already have. And when you subtract out the unlicensed, uninsured people from your list your choices are minimal. I wanted to replace our thermostat after a slight remodel. The old one was dingy and couldn't be salvaged. While we were at it we decided to add WiFi connectivity beacuse, well we don't really have a true need for that but since a thermostat was only a few dollars more i figured, why not. After examining the current thermostat and the wiring at the HVAC unit i was convinced the the job was beyond my skill level. Having seen Soundview shop every day on the way to the gym an knowing a couple of them work out in the same gym, I thought I'd give the local team a shot. They said they would send someone by to look at the job to give an estimate. The estimator cam by and looked and tinkered with the system for about 45 minutes. in the end he said my control panel wasn't compatible with new generation thermostats. This wasn't hard to believe, we know that the builder relied on a lot of "closeout specials" when building the house 20 years ago. He also mentioned that we may need a new damper. He stated he didn't have the control panel on the truck but he would go back to the office and have them contact me with a quote for the work. He gave me a ballpark but said they office would need to validate once the sourced the exact parts. I agreed and indicated I would wat for the quote even asking how long the job would take. I paid the service call fee on the spot and thanked the technician. Well it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for a callback with a quote (not really anymore). maybe I have a unique facial tick that coincidently tells people to "ignore this man. In the interceding time I've been able to call someone ese have the work done and get on with my life. So much for the local team...
