Well after my first full PSEG & month of operation. The central Jersey team I dealt with was flawless. Abdallah was truly a great sales rep, first he has the product and believes in the mission. His installers professional and also have products so it is easier to believe in a product that you sell. Im looking forward to being part of the team for a long time. Customer service walked me through installation with quick and precise answers. With many companies out there Im sure Trinity has issues sometimes as well but as far as im concerned it was fair, professional and done quickly and efficiently read more

no communication, didn't install it right, then I had to call multiple times over 2 months after it failed inspection to get someone to come out and fix it, which they never even told me when someone would come he just randomly showed up. but while mine was installed wrong and not being fixed they were actively installing other peoples which they were probably doing wrong as well. they wrecked the first time in the way to my house, then the 2 time they got stuck in my neighbors yard. my advice is to find anyone else. can't fix stupid. read more

Install went smooth, but still having to pay for power through the utility. Also, it wasnt explained very well...but you have to have grid power to use the solar panels (which was very disappointing). Also its been 2 years and the install of the conduit in the attic was not the best. I've been trying to get someone to call me back to get it moved and the customer service responses are almost non-existent. I finally had someone call me back after a month of calling. They said that someone would reach out to me to get the conduit moved, that was 2 weeks ago. I had 2 extremely nice gentleman stop by to pitch me and asked me to set up an appointment to look at things. I agreed so they called the company to set up my appointment, the guy on the phone said he had to look at my house and placed me on hold, the 2 guys here looked at each other was like that has never happened. The guy on phone came back on and was very rude saying the pitch on my roof was to steep and they couldn't help me. The 2 guys were dumbfounded at the guys attitude and fact they couldn't help. They called their Mgr who was going to look into it. A little while later I got a call from the rude person saying he was wrong and scheduled my appointment. I told him I was not happy with the way I was treated by him. But scheduled the appointment cause I'm interested in the solar. Then an hour later they call me AGAIN and said they noticed I have dormers and could only get 2 panels so they can't help me and canceled the appointment. This applies to the Long Island branch, but figured I would let all know who these people are.... We hired Trinity Solar to install solar panels on our roof. They needed to cut down some trees in the yard before installing the panels, however there was a tree near a power line so they hired PSE&G to remove it. When PSE&G finished the job they left the tree cut in large pieces all over the front yard for two weeks during the spring which rained nearly every day. Unfortunately it caused the huge logs to sink into the grass causing depressions deep into the lawn which needs to be leveled now. It also killed all the grass where the logs sat. After tree removal they didn't even put grass seed on the bald spots where the tree was removed from along with the places the huge logs fell when cut. Cost for leveling and seed is $500. The backyard tree that was removed has a stump standing 6' tall because the chain link fence that existed for 50 years had the tree grow around it making it impossible to cut the stump lower. They left it and told us to have the fence removed and they'll come and cut it down further. We paid $1500 to have the fence removed, they still haven't come to cut it down. We would have never removed that fence, as it was not an issue until they cut the tree down. We have been in contact with many of the employees at Trinity and have been told the invoice was approved, but now they're telling us the invoice needs to be a paid receipt instead, which no business gives unless they complete the work which they have not. The fence has been paid, but the front yard hasn't been leveled or seeded because we don't have any more money to do this work, nor should we have to come out of pocket any more. We were promised many times verbally and in text messages which we still have that we would be compensated, but they refuse to pay us what's owed. The panels are on our roof now, and the power is yet to be turned on, and we are feeling very taken advantage of due to my and my husband's disabilities. We have recently been in contact with David, and according to him, "Until the system is turned on, it won't actually be funded." How I take that is they won't pay us the money owed until we start paying them their monthly bill whenever they decide to turn on the power. Is that so they can pay me with my own money? I am filing to sue in small claims court next Monday after I get the form notarized. I have spent months trying to get my money back, and have grown tired of the reasons why they can't pay me for the damage to my property. Clearly, they never had any intention of paying us. We engaged Trinity Solar in April 2024 to install a solar panel system on our property, trusting their expertise and compliance with local laws. However, due to their misguidance and apparent negligence in securing proper permits or complying with NYC building regulations, we received a violation from the NYC Department of Buildings. As a result, we were forced to pay over $3,000 in permit and repair costs. We were given 5 business days by DOB to get the permits and I requested Trinity solar for this assistance and they blamed us. We were not informed that the building department will require to see permits on electrical panels and had to fix this matter ourselves in the time limit. Since then, I have made multiple attempts over the past month to contact the company to resolve the issue, understand the status of the service, and request assistance. Despite leaving several voicemails and messages, no one has returned our calls or provided any updates. It remains unclear whether the solar service has even been activated or connected at all. This lack of response and accountability is unacceptable. We feel deceived, financially burdened, and completely abandoned by the company after trusting them with such an important project. If I could give negative stars I would. We started out with a man named Matt, who had us sign the contract on the spot. He ended up going on some sort of leave, and the company never picked up his work. We tried calling for months. New Jersey would transfer us to the NY office, and literally would never pick up or return the 594086956 voicemails we left. Months after trying, PSEG emailed us saying that the application was being closed but ironically someone from Trinity tuned in and said no no no. So, even though this was far from the person we needed to speak to, I reached out to the finance person and requested it not be opened as we are done with this company. Finally a man named Dave called us to say sorry and do the sweet talk. Against our better judgement, we allowed the project to happen. It took MONTHS, and go figure yet again NO contact or communication from the Trinity team. We would have workers just randomly coming to our house. Fast forward, someone comes to our house on Christmas Eve to do something. Apparently, it was turned on then. I would have no idea until I followed up with Dave yet again. We begged, and pleaded to please just have communication. Dave promised up and down how he has his attention on our project, and will be hands on- EVERY single time I had to reach out to him. We are constantly told "this isn't how we do business" or the finance company went bankrupt. That is not the customers problem. Fix it in your office, and communicate with the client. This company has nice workers on the job site, but when it comes to the prep, and background work of the project there is no existence. If you go with this company, be prepared for it to take double time, empty promises, and for you to be the project manager as they do not actively do anything. Hopefully they go to a customer service class for ALL Long Island employees. And, if you need to get someone on the phone, don't expect someone to pick up, call you back, or anything along those lines. If we could go back in time, I would have chosen literally anyone else to do this project. Complete nightmare. read more

At 9:55 a rep. called me and said that because I have some trees that might interfere with the effectiveness of the job and suggested that I set up a virtual meeting. I have had roof leak from the moment I put the solar on roof. I have called and contacted Trinity and sunnova on multipe occassions. I have had no luck with trying to rectify the situation. I wouldn't use this company due to the lack of the salesmen's professionalism. I have been solicited by trinity solar many times. Every time I had told them I am not interested. In fact I was told seeing as my home has too many trees it dose not even qualify for the "free" solar. Back to the most recent experience. Rep rings the RING doorbell. It responds that I am not home to leave a message. He mumbles some vulgar language under his breath to where I had to put my head phones on to heat him cuss. He again knocked on the door after having his little tantrum while mumbling about how he's knocked my door so many times. I guess the dogs barking didn't give you a good enough indication that the door bell that's recording you is working. What I would improve is teach your salesmen how to sell and some principles like integrity. That would have saved you guys a phone call and bad review. Also if they looked a little more professional and not like criminals casing homes. ok so I tried to get this problem resolved before I left a public review. But now I have no choice. I have been with this company for a few years..I would NOT recommend them to anyone. We had to get new roof placed before getting the solar panels back in 2019 with no roof problem. Once we got the panel placed we had multiple leaking inside the house causing damage to the interior of the house which we needed to repair. Recently they came out to put animal guards on the panels and we have leaking again inside the house causing damage inside my sons bedroom. They came out to try to a fix the problem multiple times but the problem has not been fixed and the roof is still leaking causing more damage inside the house. Their customer service is horrible. Overall, we are happy with the product (financed solar and two Tesla batteries), but Trinity was BY FAR the most expensive solar installer in our area. (Our fault for not shopping around but want to warn others.) Also, felt shady that part of the contract is a lump sum payment after 18 months that just so happens to be the amount of our tax credit - don't pay, and the monthly financing payment goes up by $200. We had to pay an additional $8,000 for some piece of electric grid infrastructure our town requested that I'm sure other solar buyers will benefit from. There are many other reputable companies out there that will install solar for tens of thousands less. In terms of the installation, it was many months after signing that construction began and then months after that before solar went on. We immediately had to power down because Trinity had not built the required fire safety stuff in front of the batteries, so we failed the town fire inspection (which Trinity never actually requested, by the way). Overall, I'm glad we can tap into solar and sell back some of our battery storage but the savings has not necessarily been what was promised and altogether we paid over $100,000. Again, our mistake for not shopping around. Don't make the same mistake. read more

I installed System the end of February, it has been down since May 12.--this is day 3 Trinity Solar will not get a technician here to repair the system for 8 days. Also--total dysfunction of their phone system. Many #'s to call--only some respond to voice mail. One of the numbers turns out to be their MONITORING company, not Trinity Solar. That person "thought" the service department would be able to contact me to set up repair within 48 hours. Ultimately, Trinity Solar has no technician available to start repair for 8 days. I paid way too much for this to have it out of service for over a week in the first 2 1/2 months LOW value for money paid. read more

Neighbors told me the guy who used to live there before us was an older guy they took advantage of the him and installed panels on a roof that should of been replaced first. A Trinity Solar representative was in my neighborhood on 12/21 walking door to door discussing solar panel installation. My husband answered the door and at the end of their discussion scheduled an appt with another consultant for more specific details on 12/27 at 5pm. The automated system confirmed and reminded there was an appt by text. The consultant was a no show and no call. It's been over two weeks and no person has called to apologize or explain what happened. My husband gets automatic emails requesting he reschedule but we're not interested in working with this company anymore. read more

They will keep coming back to your home to harass you about consultation after you tell them NO again and again. I give them the same answer every time. "I don't want consultation and I'm not interested. If I'm interested, I'll contact the company. Please stop showing up". With the 4th person, we told her to take us off the list. She showed us her tablet and says she took us off the list. I thought the matter was closed until the 5th person rang the doorbell 3 times in the evening. I was eating dinner and it took me a few minutes to get to the door. They always ask "when is a good time to schedule your consultation?" And I say "I'm not interested". They reply "why?" And I respond "because I'm not interested." After the 5th person to show up, we contacted Trinity Solar directly to request to take us off their list. They've apologized and said it's not only them visiting and confirmed they would take us off the list. That's false. I've confirmed each time it's Trinity Solar by answering them in person at the door. Even if I request to take me off the list, I'm still hearing from this company. So far 7 people have shown up. Took over six months to install, couple months to get it working, worked for four months and suddenly stopped working, did not work for three months and nobody could figure it out. Turns out the installers switched wires during installation (red wired as black, black wired as red) and took a comedy of errors and seven service visits to accidentally get it working again. I wish I never signed with Trinity/sunnova. The inverter on the solar system failed. It took 3 months for a replacement. Per the contract I purchased power not panels and was charged 160 a month plus was hit with a bill from jcpl for $967. Only credit given was for 108 dollars. Do not purchase solar from the. Trinity salespeople came out at the end of March 2023 and we signed up for service. Installed in the beginning of June 2023. At the time of signing up we gave neighbor's name and address as having referred us and were told they would receive the $1000 referral. It's now December and they still haven't received anything. My wife and I have called the company and the salesman (who had promised he would always be available and call right back if he didn't answer the call) multiple times and left messages. No response from company or salesman. Graham is a great salesman.Our biggest issues were that it took forever for them to start the work after the contract was signed. They refused to put panels on our back roof where we get sun a good bit of the day, our system we didn't get is big enough due to our high electric bills last winter, but our box isn't big enough to add any more panels. and it took around 7 months to receive our $1000 referral check , with us consistently asking for it. Had Trinity out for a Solar quote for my house. I was given incorrect information from salesman Matthew on their PPA through Sunnova. I had done some research into PPA's and learned that you are on the hook for 25 years of payments, if the new buyer of the house didn't or couldn't qualify to take over payments. He said that was wrong. I was able to read my neighbors contract as she mistakenly signed up for the service. She was also lied to and when she called her rep for confirmation that her 25 year contract would not carry over after death. He said no, but the contract states that the contract is not negated in death but passes onto the decedents of the estate. Upon reading her contract I found out I was lied to. And that a PPA has a negative impact on home resale. Very deceptive sales pitch. My neighbor is canceling the contract today. Buyer Beware!!! read more

Talked to Luis last week and just talked about the basic information to get the ball rolling. I was actually talking to another company last year but held off because I was nervous. Decided to talk to trinity because of a friend and I talked to Luis & decided to pull the trigger and get this done. The following day trinity and sunnova ran my credit which isn't a problem but trinity never asked if they could and in the process they forged the electronic copy which I didn't have any idea they did till I received a copy in my email. After receiving a alert to my credit I texted Luis and ask if they where sunnova because they just pulled a hard inquiry on my credit. Luis responded and said yes trinity and sunnova are the same. I then texted and said that I didn't recall giving my ss# how did they pull my credit. Well apparently they got it from my light bill. That text went unanswered. Figured I would talk to him more about this in 5 days when we where suppose to meet up and discuss my options. Through your the day of our meeting I text a few times if he was coming and what time? No response. Finally used a different tel number and he told me that trinity had computer problems and that he'd text me in a hour. (2 hours later he texted and said that trinity was still down could we do it tomorrow. I said yes and wanted to know what time.( another unanswered text) . Well I do know all companies have good and bad reviews online so I don't use it 100% to make a purchase. But with all these issues already. PLEASE READ! When we decided to get solar panels our salesman Travis (who I was told is no longer with the company) was extremely thorough with any questions we had during the process. Can't complain about our solar bill either BUT you need to beware of the scam this company tries to get away with. During the permit and paperwork process, I asked what I thought was the most important question to the salesman, "when I do need a reroof done, what will the cost be to remove and reinstall the solar panels", I was given a price on paper by our salesman for $984. Doesn't sound so bad does it? So my wife and I knew when the time comes that we would have to put $1,000 to the side for the process. Well, that time has come and we were told by the roofing install dept (Bill) that the cost for removal and reinstallation would be $6,000!!! We immediately argued that our salesman told us the original price and even wrote it down on on 1 of the hundreds of papers we signed and Bill said "if you have some sort of documentation stating that price then we would honor it". After going thru all of our paperwork we found the paper with the price written on it. I have since then called Trinity Solar 4 times and left messages since we spoke to Bill on 3/12/24 and I have yet to hear back from anyone. So, I took it upon myself to contact IGS Solar whom we pay our solar bill too and they too even said that they have had multiple complaints about Trinity Solar (who is one of their contractors/installers) and this same exact issue that many other people are experiencing. Don't believe me?, read all of the google reviews that you want and see for yourself. IGS Solar explained that Trinity Solar recently started doing reroofs as well and they are most likely trying to provide that service to us as well, which they did. Bill told us if we get the reroof through Trinity and combine it with the removal and reinstall of the panels it would be $14,000! How about you just keep to your word and honor the original price that I was told at $984. Until they contact me back and make this right I will continue to fight this, my next action will be to contact the Better Business Bureau!!! Not just for me but for future hardworking people so they don't get scammed. Better make this right Trinity Solar, this is not how you conduct good business! read more
