We had a couple issues with neighbor smoking in the backyard, dribbling basketballs past quiet hours, finding parking after a certain hour but I feel those issues are common things in all apartment complexes. These issues were addressed. Overall, we enjoyed our time. Safety is a priority and we did not encounter a bad experience with theft or break-ins inside the community. (Sometimes we would forget to close our garage over night and everything stayed in place the next morning hehe). Can't forget to mention how close this place is to Safeway. Super convenient. Also a good distance to lake Elizabeth as well. Last but not least, Kathy (manager) and Jason (maintenance) are truly the best people for this job. They are genuine and friendly people who really cares for their community. Quick to respond and addressed concerns promptly. We will miss living within this community. They are efficient, friendly, and have supported my wife and I for all those years. My wife passed early this year and they have been supportive in my efforts to downsize and re-organize. I am staying with the property, just teaming up with another tenant (who I had shared one of the units with before). Our unit was a 2 bedroom, 1 & 1/2 bath townhouse. It has a spacious living room (which I turned into a 'hospital care' space when my wife became ill), with 2 bedrooms upstairs. The full bath is upstairs, the half bath is downstairs. When we had any requests, like the reasonable accommodation request for a handicap ramp for the front stairs, they got it done.

Today, two of us were walking through chatting, and a Meadows property manager/worker yelled at us from across the parking lot, maybe 40 yards away, asking who we were. Thinking he had mental issues or a salesman, we kept walking. He then approached and harassed us, screaming about how we were trespassing, continuing verbal abuse and harassment and followed us until we left the property. We talked quietly, did not approach anyone, hang door tags, play music, or toss trash. We didn't go into the center apartment area. We're both computer professionals. This employee could have gotten on his golf cart and quietly told us sorry we cannot walk thru his parking lot and to kindly exit the premises. Instead, he chose to yell threateningly across a parking lot and come after us with verbal abuse. A good way to judge apartment management is how they treat visitors. Because as residents, you're going to get more of that - or worse. Stay away from this complex.

The pool area as well is nice except we did have a hard time with one of the grills and i think the grills should be deep cleaned. Another minor complaint is there are times where the trash area gets way too full and filthy, trash overload and sometimes laying out on the floor, which makes this complex look dirty. In my building, we have kids playing soccer near the garage area which we have received multiple emails NOT to play in that area. It would also be nice if someone maintained the leaves area and blow them away or something. when we first moved in i've only seen it once where they did that never saw it happen again. BEWARE I am extremely concerned about the towing practices…read moreat Sycamore Bay Apartments after what happened to me while making a delivery to one of their residents. I arrived around 1:12 AM and had to wait at the entrance because I had not been provided a gate code. I was actively trying to contact the resident, who eventually remotely opened the gate for me around 1:15 AM. However, the towing paperwork says my vehicle was already "observed" and dispatched for towing at 1:14 AM. I completed the delivery and returned within only a few minutes. My vehicle was already hooked up, but the tow truck was still inside the apartment property. My husband and I immediately approached the tow operators, explained why we were there, and asked them to release my vehicle. I called 911 at 1:22 AM while this was happening. The towing company's own paperwork says my vehicle was not "removed" until 1:24 AM. Instead of releasing the vehicle, the operators continued towing it through the gate. They stopped again outside the property, where the situation became even more confrontational. I was upset and trying to explain what had happened, but the way I was treated was completely unacceptable. One of the tow workers made a disrespectful comment to my husband about me needing to "watch my mouth," and I was ultimately told that I would not be getting my car back and would have to pick it up from the tow yard. I felt like I was being treated as if I had done something malicious when I was simply there to complete a delivery and leave. I was then left stranded around 2 AM in an unfamiliar area with my purse and wallet still inside my vehicle. I only had my phone with me and had to walk approximately 20 minutes to the tow yard, where I had to pay hundreds of dollars to retrieve my car. The entire experience was stressful, upsetting, and handled in a way that I believe was unnecessarily harsh. What makes this even more concerning is that after looking into this property, I found other public complaints involving parking enforcement and towing. I am clearly not the only person who has raised concerns about towing here, including complaints from residents and visitors. That raises serious questions about how parking enforcement is being handled at this property. I understand that apartment communities need parking rules. What I do not understand is a system where a visitor or delivery driver can apparently be flagged for towing within minutes, before they have even finished gaining access to the property, and then have their vehicle taken despite returning and asking for it back. I have preserved my towing paperwork, timestamps, 911 call record, delivery records, and witness information, and I have formally requested that both the apartment management and towing company preserve any surveillance footage, gate records, towing authorization records, photographs, and communications related to this incident. Anyone visiting or delivering to this property should be extremely careful about where they stop or park, even for a very short period of time. Management should seriously review how towing is being handled here and whether residents, guests, and delivery drivers are being given clear and reasonable notice.
