I called and spoke with a very knowledgeable woman who make a few suggestions then stated that I could bring them in and we could find the best cushions for me. I also asked her about cutting them down and she suggested against that because it could ruin the shoe. I broughg them in and she helped me find the perfect insoles and my shoes fit beautifully now. In order to keep my Christian Louboutin's in good condition due to usual wear and tear I took them to Trio Shoe Service to get toe tips, heel caps and resoled. I was very pleased with their quality of work, turnaround time and customer service. Shannon and Ken are very knowledgeable and understand discerning customers. After being a happy customer with the first pair I took a second pair in today for the same restoration. While there I inquired about the Shoe Petals because I've heard a lot about them. Based on what I shared with Ken, he recommended a different type of insert and went a step further by putting a pair in my shoes for me see the difference. I appreciate him doing that because seeing/feeling the difference made a huge impact. Upon purchasing them he also inserted them correctly for me. I also like the fact that they do the Christian Louboutin repairs in house because another local recommended shoe cobbler sends them to another location in NC to be repaired. I will echo what Meka C. said regarding the very poor customer service, with an additional issue of damage caused to my item. I brought a purse in to have the handle re-glued in November 2016. I contacted the shop repeatedly after not hearing from them for a while to inquire about the status of the repair. I was always told they were still "working on it." Since January, I stopped in the shop several times to inquire about the item. Twice I was told it wasn't even there! I called again last week, and they told me it had been ready since Christmastime. I never received a call giving me that information. When I brought the bag to the store, it was almost brand new. Upon picking up the bag today, it is clear that the hardware was severely damaged with many nicks, scratches and dents during the repair process. I take care of my items. They destroyed it. This shop is disappointing and a disgrace. I contacted the high-end designer store in Lenox Mall from which I received the recommendation to use Trio and alerted them to this situation as well. read more

Now, prices are even more outrageous at Trio Shoe Service. I just argued with the shoe repair guy regarding the prices, which are now doubled from the last time I was here. To fix my Louboutins, he insisted on charging: $40 for heel tip replacements $115 for the red half sole even if I bring in my own red Vibram soles. This is completely ridiculous, because it's much less expensive to get the same repairs done in New York City or Los Angeles. Also, the shoe repair guy rudely informed me that the guy who had been repairing my shoes at Trio is no longer with Trio, partly because of the "low" prices he had charged before. I beg to differ, because the former prices were already too high. Luckily I inquired about the prices before agreeing to let Trio work on my shoes this time. I ended up going elsewhere. read more

This is my second pair of designer shoes I've had done at that pair, and it's the last timeout will step foot in this shoe repair store. To keep short not very friendly and when you have a concern over work they should have done correctly, it's quickly put back on you as if you cause the problem. $$$$$$$$$$ My girl friend took her custom made cowboy boots to get recrafted. It took Trio Shoe Service 2 weeks to repair the soles and heels. I went with her to pick up her boots ($150 to repair her boots! WOW!) Now her very nice custom made cowboy boot no longer fit her. When she told the shoe repairman that boot they fixed for a very high price no longer fit., they told her that they are not responsible for the fit of a shoe after they fix it. WHAT?? I called at least 7 places in Atlanta before I could find this place to stretch the calves on my beautiful new Frye boots. It took several visits to fit them, but I now have a pair of boots that fit my calves and fit under my jeans. The service cost $125, but it was worth the money for this pair of boots and because it's so difficult for me to find a pair that fit off the rack. Went in to get a quote to have a moderately stained Louis Vuitton bag cleaned. They wanted to charge $200 with no guarantees that the bag would look perfect. The lady who helped us had a really bad attitude and a Buckhead snotty way about her. After reading all the other horrible reviews of this business I will take my business elsewhere. Make sure you read "reviews that are not recommended" here to see just how bad the other reviews really are. I would not have even wasted my time going here if I had read all of those bad reviews. I hate buying clothes, always have. And I hate buying shoes especially. Once I find a pair I like, I will probably wear them down to nothing. Now that I can afford it, I try to buy multiple pairs to slow the wear - but I have some old favorites that were destined for the back of the closet before I read about Trio here on Yelp. Here are some quick tips about shoe repair. 1) Don't take your shoes to a dry cleaner to have them repaired if you are a man. I basically tossed $60 down the toilet bowl to have someone rip the worn leather soles off my precious Kenny Coles and paste on foam rubber ones instead. And even they fell apart. 2) If you paid less than $120 for your pair of men's leather soled dress shoes, and they need extenstive sole repair, you are better off heading to the Shoe Warehouse to buy a new pair rather than getting them fixed at Trio. Trio does a fantastic job, but it is not cheap. That said, I bought my black Kenny Cole flat toed dress shoes eight years ago, and Trio revived them with a brand new leather sole and rubber heel securedly assembled. After a week they are just as comfortable as I remember, but look better than ever. They also did a great job with a pair of casuals that I paid $10 on clearance almost 10 years ago, but I still love. Had I not had the shoes for so long, or loved them so much, I would have balked at paying six times the purchase price to fix them. But hey, at Trio you do get what you pay for. read more

Trio was haled one of the best cobblers in the world by Town & Country in last month's issue. I have to agree with T&C, not because they are arbiters of luxury, but based on my own experience, lots of it. Trio has repaired my footwear year after year. They even suggested a fix for a handbag strap once and the bag looked better than when it was new. And while pricey, these mostly guys (once I might have seen a gal) know their cobbling. They can tell you right away if a repair is possible or impossible after about two seconds of looking at the item presented for repair. I appreciate the directness. They also stand behind their work. I recently had a small issue and they were very pleasant about it. I didn't even have to produce a ticket. The maybe con: They can be a little brusk. But if you saw these cobblers and then put into perspective that it is these dudes that are dealing with your prized Opening Ceremony boots, it might be alright. My significant others have just rolled their eyes when I talk about shoes. I once had the soles redone on a pair of loved Ferragamo heels in NYC of all places. I ended up with something that looked like an orthopedic walking shoe. Okay, I might have been distraught. I might still be distraught. I am a chick and I love shoes. Terrible customer service coming and going, work not up to par with the reviews & my treasured, much loved shoes were not handled with care. This long-winded, excruciatingly detailed but brutally honest review is way past due. Over a year ago, I took a few pairs of shoes to Trio based on Yelp reviews & two friends that have used them. But, mainly b/c there were no other big competitors so I had no choice. Since leaving LA 7 years ago & my wonderful shoe repair place - Pasquale Shoe Repair (also voted Best in the World by W magazine and featured in Town & Country's best in the world ), I have not trusted any shoe repair to touch my shoes. Not even when I lived in San Fran. I'm too afraid someone will damage or ruin the shoes or do a bad repair. The result of 7 years of no shoe repair is that I have about 10-12 pairs of Miu Miu, Vera Wang, Sigerson Morrison, Calvin Klein, Stuart Weitzman, etc. stored in boxes in my closet gathering dust. I don't wear them because they are in such bad condition & I don't want to make it worse. It is a sad & wasteful situation. I treasure my shoes (& my clothes) because I shop for deals so I can afford these nice things. I have been amassing a collection of shoes for 12 years while living in NYC, LA, San Fran. Now, I'm stuck in Atlanta with only one high-end, supposedly expert shoe repair place? Tried a few local Mom & Pop stores but they didn't pass the test with my cheaper shoes. I am willing to pay the price for needed repairs to keep my much loved & oft worn shoes alive & well. But, it has to be perfect. Or, at least the best repair possible. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - I nervously handed my shoes over, at least 4 pairs. A few needed new soles. The guy tells me a price for "leather" soles. Yikes. How much for rubber soles? I'm then lectured by him that rubber soles are not high quality repair for my shoes. I should spend the money on leather. I nicely told him that I used Pasquale Shoe Repair in LA for many years and they were fine with putting rubber soles (they used Topy protectors) & they were very good & seemed to know what they were doing. Maybe this guy knows of Pasquale? In any case, he was even more gruff, short with me and insulting after that mention of Pasquale. He told me that type of sole is only done in mall repair shops. Not true & just plain rude. I only needed a stitch on one strap on a single shoe - Givenchy flats. When I saw the repair they did it was a little messy, not perfect. I expected better. Seemed like an easy thing to fix so I was a little mad to be charged $15 for bad results. My Marc Jacob flats needed polish all over. I was really worried b/c I wanted the color to match. Waited over a week, got the call that all my shoes were ready, picked them up but the Marc Jacob flats weren't handed to me. They look & look for them, I'm starting to sweat, then they say they were put aside b/c they needed more time to match the color. Why call me to say my shoes were ready? Plus, they would have let me walk out of the store missing a pair of shoes. Came back a few days later only to be told once I arrived that they could not match the color of the pink Marc Jacobs. They tried & the color looked really bad. The polish they put on was not all over the shoe so my shoes are two-toned between pale pink/pale lilac. I was so upset, disappointed & sick that I had paid for that type of unprofessional & ugly work. I expressed my frustration at how my shoes now looked. He was not apologetic at all but agreed to take $30 or so off my total bill, which was over $150. CONCLUSION Shabby workmanship - although they are touted to have the craftsmanship of experts, they obviously don't always do their best work. Unreliable - said they could do the repairs but they were unable to & made my shoes look worse than before. Rude, bad service - there is no excuse for a business to be unprofessional towards their customer, especially a new customer who is sheepishly, timidly asking for help. I was never rude, aggressive or overly emotional b/c I thought I was at their mercy to fix all my shoes. REWARD for reading this entire review - I found out yesterday that I can ship my shoes to Pasquale in Los Angeles for repairs! They have an online form that looks easy. I can vouch for their excellent customer service and impeccable repair work. All you fellow Atlantans who have been searching for someone you can trust, Pasquale is the guy. Just had another great shoe repair experience at Trio. Three years ago I ripped the heel of pair of red patent Stuart Weitzman and was of course, heart broken. Realizing their fate was the dumpster, I called Neimans to find out if they were aware of a miracle worker and they referred me to Trio Shoe Service. I took my beloved "Dororthy Gale Red" Stuey's to Trio to see what they could do. They amazed me is what they did. Fabulous and good as new. So where did I go when my cherished leopard patent leather Louboutin's suffered the same fate as Stuey? Trio to the rescue. My Louboutins are like a baby to me, they are well cared for, unfortunately I have little grace when I am walking in 6 inch heels and carved a scar deep into the rich brown patent leather heel. I was a little worried when I read some of the Yelp reviews about Trio, but last week I took a deep breath and remembered my prior experience and dropped them off. The owner loved my shoes and said he would do all that he could to repair them. I picked them up yesterday and they were fabulous!! The scuff on the heel is a little noticeable but considering how deep the gash was (I know the HORROR!) I think he did a good job. He replaced the red soles and the heel tips and they look brand new. At first I wasn't sure about getting a new sole since the entire reason you pay what you pay for when you buy these shoe is the CL red sole but they were scuffed anyway, the new sole color blends in perfect to the existing red. They also polished them up and now they are beaming and all new again. So why not 5 stars? Well, I didn't ask for the heel tips, but got them and I had to pay before services rendered. I never do this. You are holding my shoes hostage, why would I pay you before I see what you have done to them? Any other shoe repair, no way. Luckily Trio has earned its reputation and proudly displays an article from Town and Country Magazine of being one of the few reputable shoe cobblers to repair Christian Louboutin. Neimans, Saks and Jeffrey all say "Go to Trio". Yes, they are expensive. $150 but, I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. They are perfectionists and if you drop $1K on a pair of shoes why would you whine about $150 to fix them when they are restored to their original beauty by a cobbler who takes pride in their work. Good work, but their red bottom soles are not the same color as another place I tried. Yes, I had to ship her shoes to a shop in St. Louis (GASP!!) but I did and the results were phoenominal! They have fixed a leather purse of mine. Took a little long to get it back. I needed two gold screws, but received one gold and on silver! After going to TWO other shoe repair shops in Buckhead and turned away due to difficulty, I was referred to bring my shoes to Trio from their competitor. I took my wedding shoes with rhinestone detailing in as a rush order because my wedding is next week OUT OF STATE!The shoes needed to be refitted at the ankle because I have both a narrow foot and skinny/thin ankles. The gentleman took on the task and had my shoes back to me the NEXT DAY! They fit like a glove with no damage, rhinestones in tact and he was even thoughtful enough not to cut the metal pieces in fear it may snag my dress on my big day! I have been a Trio customer for many years - they are very expensive but I felt the quality of their work warranted the price. I took a watch band to them to be dyed and paid $85 for the service. After wearing my watch the dye came off. I visited them and explained the problem and was told it would be $85 more dollars to fix it. This place is flawless. I've taken at least 3 pairs of shoes here to be pretty much completely rebuilt. Now that I spend more on shoes and have ones that I want to keep FOREVER, it worth it to pay $90+ to keep them looking solid. Sometimes if I'm low on cash, I'll take shoes to the Chinese couple in Toco Hills, but you can read about them in that review. Trio can be a little pricy, but it is definitely worth it. I discovered Trio Shoe Service thanks to a girlfriend that lives in Atlanta. I live in Boston, so I sent them a brand new pair of Louboutin Pigalle Follies pumps so they could add the red sole overlay, replace the plastic heel tip with a rubber heel tip, and place the little tap at the pointed tip of the shoe. They called me to confirm what exactly I wanted, and shipped the shoes back to me as soon as they were done. Their work is exquisite!!!! True artisans and impeccable craftsmanship. I just stopped by the post office to ship them 3 more pairs of Loubs and 1 pair of Valentino Rockstud flats :) highly recommend Trio Shoe Service!!! read more

If you want overpriced work and rude service, then this is the place for you! This repair shop can turn the simplest repair into a major service where they make the customer feel like they are doing you a favor even to speak to the customer, let alone do the work and take their hard earned money. I had a gator case that I had asked to be repaired, and then, when specifically asked not to touch the color, they on their own decided to stain it. The piece is now ruined and they blamed me (who they called stupid) for their error. On top of it, they demanded payment for ruining my case or they refused to return it. I used to be a long time loyal customer to this place. They have always cost more, but they did a great job and it was worth it to extend the life of my expensive shoes. My one caveat before, was their tendency to try to up sell you on every visit, whether you needed it or not. On my last visit, I was dismayed to be charged almost double the expensive price I'm used to paying for adding a new sole to my shoes. They were going to charge me $110. I used to pay $60 to resole and polish the shoes. $110 to ONLY resole the shoes is a rip off. I left and I won't be back. They got greedy. read more

The absolute worse experience I have ever had. It is now May and my Chanel bag is still not ready. I paid up front $425.00 for a strap repair, a cleaning and supposed to fix the scuff on the trim on the bottom of bag. Went to get it in March and it was a glob of glue on the trim. I told them it was unacceptable. Called April 24th nothing had been done. Called April 30th, nothing done. They are the worse. I don't mind paying but I expect excellent work for such a high price. Not impressed. We told them to just die wedding shoes and get them as close as possible, and signed a bunch of forms where if they screwed them up; then they weren't responsible... Signed everything and was fine with it... Told them we weren't coming back to look at samples since we lived so far away... Call a couple weeks later... Shoes aren't even done, waiting on us to come look at samples... Had to tell them to just die them already; we weren't coming to look at samples... Then we get there, and they say we haven't paid... We had to dig through online credit statement to prove that we paid. I can only think what they would have done to us if we had paid cash, and lost the receipt. Beware! I took a pair of Pradas to Trio because I heard they were the best. Asked them if they could put heel and sole on them. They said "Yes, $150 in advance". Went to pick them up and they said they hadn't done anything to them because they were fused by the manufacturer. They were six years old so obviously not a recent change. Asked for refund of my prepayment because they literally had done nothing to the shoes. Denied, no refunds (only store credit).
