I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! You'll have to go buy those kegs later if you want to use the bathrooms cause that's where they are. We specifically went there because in December 2025 they had a special where they were doing a beef Wellington every day until it sold out. The price tag was a bit steeper at $60, although I have to say it was pretty good. Do I think it was worth the $60, well? I think the jury still out on that one. The service was very nice. The server came and checked on us periodically, and I did let them know that it was a special birthday for my partner, and so they actually arranged a nice to surprise and brought a special dessert out after the main meal. It was nice to get something sweet to finish the meal (comp'd). The Wellington was very good. It was probably just a little overcooked for me. I prefer mine more like medium rare and it was probably more like medium well done. I might've liked it better if it had not been so well done. However, it was still pretty good and a very nice flavor and it came with mashed potatoes and a really lovely gravy and some nice roasted vegetables. Atmosphere is pretty lively, I would say that there's not a lot of privacy because the tables are very close together. That was kind of a so-so thing in my book, but not a big deal. It is a pub after all. Also, that's what you can expect in those types of establishments. So it was quite enjoyable, it was also my first time there.
