Frist time there. Food was very good services was amazing. Steak just had a little too much seasoning on it.

I met a very good friend for lunch here today. I just ordered the 1/3 pound hamburger with Swiss cheese, the hamburger was delicious. The burger comes with chips, or you can order fries for a little more. Our waitress was great and the restaurant has a nice vibe to it. I will probably go back to explore some of their other menu items. read more

Best food, service and ambience within an hour drive! We had the enchilada plate, the chicken fried steak, the pepper steak and fried pickles and all were fabulous. We also had the carrot cake amd the coconut meringue pie and even better. The atmosphere is fantastic with brands including George Strait, the Callaghan Ranch and Roy Bohl all over the restaurant. Hospitality at its mother effin FINEST. Love finding little gems like this. From the outside to walking in you know the food is going to be awesome and cooked with absolute love. Had the half pound burger. It was awesome. Saw the chicken fried steak and it looked amazing. Across from someone had the enchiladas and I was immediately jealous because that looked amazing. Stopping in for a good steak on the day of the eclipse did not disappoint. Our server was very helpful with the recommendations. The steak for 2 was served with 2 salads and 2 baked potatoes and warm, crusty bread. The steak was cooked perfectly, the flavor was great. A dessert tower was available with pies and cakes. Triple C has been around for over 40 years. It has been many many years since I ate here. The dining room is old and could definitely use a little updating. Service was good and the staff were friendly. The complimentary bread was warm and good but a little dry. The salad was chilled and crispy. The star of the meal - the steak. It was a little stringy but the flavor was very good. Although I ordered it medium rare it was closer to rare (my favorite temperature) and tastes the way beef should taste. The lidded baked potato was also very good. Truly worthy of a 4.5 rating! read more

This was a really cool restaurant about 40 mins outside of San Antonio. When you first walk in you take a step back into time. This is a real old school place. It almost feels like you are eating at someones home. They have a daily buffet as well as a full menu. We all went with bacon cheeseburgers. Let me tell you these folks sure do know how to make a great burger. The bun was home made and full of flavor. That's something you hardly ever see. The meat was seasoned to perfection. They cool fresh thick pieces of bacon. Every bite was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. We also got dessert. Their Oreo pie was simply amazing! The crust was made of crushed Oreos. I do believe they allow smoking at the bar. I wish they didn't but oh well this is a real old school throwback so hey it is what it is. The service was great as well. The food is excellent! I'm all about the meat and they definitely know steak. Perfect sear on my steak and you can tell they work with a very seasoned grill because you can taste it. The service was awesome! Our drinks stayed full and we were checked on at just the right time. I ordered the surf and turf. When the menu said only 3 shrimp I was worried it wouldn't be enough....well I was wrong. Each shrimp was the size of my hand!!! To top off everything the look and feel of this place is beautiful. So we are relocating to the area and decided to try Triple C Steakhouse as it was the closest steakhouse and we figured we'd try something new. When we first walked in, it gave a small town feel and it seemed like we found a great spot. The tables were filling up fast and the server was attentive the whole time. However, it was not good. We ordered the chicken fried steak, a top steak, a chicken tender plate (adult and kids) and onions rings. The steak came out over cooked and the chicken tenders were the kind you'd buy from the freezer section of the grocery store. Everything was flavorless. Everything needed salt/pepper/some type of seasoning. Even the butter for the rolls ... flavorless. What's crazy is that what we ordered (and considering the quality of what we received) costs $100. We could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and had better food at a better price. Honestly, there is a Sonic across the street. Go there instead. If you're looking for a good steakhouse ... definitely save your time by driving a bit further to find the next closest steakhouse in town. read more

Outstanding. The hostess was super friendly and welcoming. She sat us promptly. First time ever eating here and they hit it out the ball park. The food is very good. We did have a party of 8 and just a heads up there is a 18% gratuity add on for parties of 6+. I had the top butt 14oz Medium of course. Baked potato and house salad. Although this was slated as a steakhouse, I ordered the fried fish and shrimp combo. The three shrimp were huge and pretty tasty, the fish turned out to be 1" x 1" x 3" "sticks" of unknown variety. They tasted OK, but I prefer whole fish or filets. Most of the other folks got steak, and judging from the empty plates, they must have been good. The salad bar is no more, but the house salad was good. read more

Walked in Triple C at 7:00pm on a Friday night. Didn't have to wait long even tho the parking lot was packed. Nice simple menu but we both decided on the fried route. Ordered a regular order of onions-OMG, sooo good. Hubby had CFS w/ salad & a great baked potato. I had the CFS strips w/ FF & bread. Everything was cooked perfectly and we had a super server named Austin. If we're are ever in this area again WE WILL stop. Nice hostesses too! read more

Out on an afternoon ride. Got a local recommendation to stop by Triple C Steakhouse for their Chicken Fried Steak dinner. Decided on the 6 oz Chicken Fried Steak with house salad and baked potato and both were huge. Stephanie S. was my server and she was absolutely excellent. I'll drive the hour to get there just to have her as my waitress. Attentive, kind, helpful, funny and patient. My salad and cornbread muffins came out very quickly and then dinner followed just in time. Very hot. Quiet and dark (steak housy) atmosphere. Great service. Not sure if I'll get the Chicken Fried Steak again but I'd definitely going back for a big steak next time. Stop by if you get the chance and ask for Stephanie! read more

Stumbled upon this gem while we were out and about and we are happy that we did. The food was really good. We had the kids patties, Country fried chicken, pepper steak and allllll the sides and it didn't disappoint. What sold us though, was the customer service. We went later in the evening and even though they were an hour and a half from closing we didn't feel rushed. We went with all three kiddos after a rough day and the place was a breath of fresh air. Our waitress, Hannah, was perfect for our kids and they requested to return just because of her. Anyways, 5 out of 5. Comfortable place with great food totally worth the little extra you'll pay. 30.06 & 30.07 ! Really? How frustrating, I hate to have to secure it in the car. In Texas and out in the country. Thought for a second I had been transported to California. Walked in to the overpowering waft of smoke from the bar. Not knowing the local smoking ordinance I ask if this is a smoking establishment. Was told you can smoke in the bar which is not closed off to to restaurant, hence the Smokey cloud in the dinning area. Whether or not the food turns out good doesn't matter to me at this point. To begin I must state: I am NOT a steak person. My friend is, so we decided to stop here on our way to Austin. I must say, the steak was damn good! The only negative was our fault - we ordered medium-well and it was a tiny bit drier than I would have liked. However, the server did warn us up front that would happen with cooking it that much. The steak was a 32oz thick cut of meat. Two us ate and had left overs for 2-3 more people. It was served with sides for two people (loaded baked potatoes, soup and salad). Their beef soup (my favorite) was homemade and full of down-home flavor. They served us homemade bread loaves - the crust was toasty and the inside with light, airy and soft. Omg, I threw some butter on a slice and I was in heaven! I will definitely visit this restaurant again. Our server Lexus was friendly and delightful. We were passing through on a Sunday afternoon and craving some good home cooking. Ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer and chicken fried steaks with baked potatoes and salads. My daughter enjoyed her ribeye steak medium rare. Fresh warm buttery bread was amazing. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Wanted to try dessert but we were too full! Saturday February 22 was my first time there and I really enjoyed it the service was great I talked to the staff everyone was polite and cheerful and the food let me tell you it was great I was stuff like a fat pig when I left there. I had the T-bone stake cooked medium it was tender and a bake potato. But to start with was the house salad and then the regular size of onion rings it was a lot for one person to eat . I also tried the chopped steak it was great and topped it off with a slice of Pecan pie. And my sweet tea never got empty they kept it full. And I met some of the other customers that was eating and talking this an awesome area filled with great people. Oh me I am not from around here I am from Georgia but out here in West Texas working in the oilfield. I would recommend this place to all . It has a bar so you can have a drink with your meal . Have enjoyed eater here over 30 years always very clean always friendly, great service, wonderful food, But went Thursday was shocked wonderful salad bar was gone , ordered my favorite Klondike Shrimp I always said triple C had better shrimp than 90% of the Gulf coastal seafood restaurant, Ok here is my very sad review. Salad was fresh but covered with cheddar cheese and over dressed with ranch dressing, Both would not have happened if salad bar was still in place , So sad I lost my favorite salad bar in Medina County . Ok onion rings were pale nasty crap, French fries were twice fried greasy so bad , Klondike shrimp big beautiful but over cooked tough and chewy no Fresh baked bread like in the past so sad price for all $21.00 was price for a heart breaking meal at one of my favorite place to eat on IH 35 PS service was good even though never got water refill or ask how was your meal . Guess they know what the answer would be ,Sad to see this place heading Down hill. One week later! Decided to go back to give it another try . Wednesday one week later , had salad ask for no cheese. Perfect salad. Dressing on side improvement! Wonderful service, but the thing I would drive 60 miles for was Chicken and dumplings, they were just ok ,they used to be like homemade and very good thick tasty not this time was like frozen noodle not dumplings very sad ,was a wonderful place for years Why cut back on quality ? Drove up to a huge metal barn style building. Large parking lot. Very rustic looking place. It was 9:10 at night. They closed at 10. I was a bit Leary because of how close to closing we arrived. Walked inside. The place was scattered with more rustic memorabilia. Very spacious inside. Along the walls they have many many wooden plaques with different branding Iron emblems from all over the state. It's quite neat. We were promptly greeted and sat. After ordering our drinks we realized the soft drinks we ordered were flat but they very quickly, and happily, replaced them. We ordered the wings as an app. Yes. I know it was almost closing. But we were so hungry. Needed something while we browsed the menu for real food. Those wings were fried. They were absolutely delicious!! They weren't smothered in sauce but they were tasty. Ordered our entrees. The tone was huge and thick and cooked wonderfully. The small chicken fried steak looked like it was the size of the plate it was served on. The steak fries were freshly cooked and hot and crispy. Now they have this sandwich. It's called the g'rilla. I am not a fan of plain chicken breast. This sandwich tho. This sandwich was huge and juicy! It had fresh veggies. And I mean fresh. Everything was the color it was supposed to be. We were very pleased with our late night dinner. And they did not seem at all upset that we intruded so late in the evening. The service was excellent. Fast forward to the next day. I had to being my mother in for a beer and a sandwich. Sat in the bar area which is very dimly lit. We shared the BLT. It was a very good size. Perfect for both of us. Had those amazing steak fries. Again, everything was really good again. read more

We were invited here for dinner, and were told they have good food. We got here during slightly busy hours (Sat @ 7pm) and waited only 10 minutes to be seated. We gave our order and waited approximately 1:15 for our food. I ordered a ribeye, medium - received it between medium-well and well done. It was tough, bitter, dry, but had lot of juice on the plate. My daughter requested a top butt, medium - same as ribeye. My aunt's chicken fried steak - soggy, non crispy, no crunch. Top top it off, they have 30.06 and 30.07 signs posted at the second set of front doors, so I had to leave my firearm in the "car". I only entered because I was invited. I refuse to patron at establishments that do not support our right to carry, openly or concealed. Our waiter, Lexus, was kind. The manager, subpar. I will continue to order my steaks at a Longhorn Steakhouse. FWIW: The steaks were a good thick cut, portions and sides were generous. read more

We've been coming here for many years. But not for the steaks. We come for the 'Klondike' jumbo shrimp. Klondike's used to be in Lytle as it's own restaurant. We went there until Earl Ruud the owner basically retired. We heard later that he was cooking his shrimp at the Triple C. So off we went and yes he was there in the kitchen. He later passed away and his wife Carol carried on the tradition. Needless to say, the Triple C has kept he shrimp going. They are some of the biggest jumbo shrimp I've seen. You can get 4 or 6 shrimp with choice of potato, a couple of onion rings and soup or salad. Very filling. If you have room, the homemade pies are great. We've had the cocoanut cream and Oreo cookie pies. Delicious!! Today I wish the shrimp had been fried for another 30 seconds or so, but they were still good. The food was ok they messed up my wife's order and got her a fried shrimp instead of grilled shrimp. The grilled were way better. My boyfriend took me on a late night date here and food was pretty good here. We had the steak for two which was good quality meat, however I would probably get my steak medium next time rather than medium well as it was too over cooked for my liking. We also got the breaded mushrooms which were amazing and baked potatoes with the works and got to try the bread which was delish and freshly baked. We walked into the place kind of late about 30 minutes before they were going to close and the owner still welcomed us with a smile, now that's what I call southern charm and good customer service. The place has an old school vibe to it which I like and the interesting thing to me was the strong smell of cigarettes when you walk in, but disappears once you walk to the dining room on the left side of building. It's really not fair to rate when we had 46 people talking and renewing friendships. The staff where superior they kept everything going and where so helpful. 5 stars. We had 2 choices for lunch, either the buffet or the lunch menu. Based on a yelper review I ordered grilled jumbo shrimp, wife ordered the buffet. Well, you can imagine the chef getting orders for 23 lunch plates at the same time. It took over 1 1/2 hours to receive our food.
