Service was good. She was quite nice! Ambiance is average but it's also a market do you can get some African staples here too. ORDER: Egusi soup w/goat Fried plantain w/chicken Jollof rice w/goat Everything was delicious--so flavorful & well seasoned! No complaints at all. Egusi soup is a stand out & we'll always need that one! Will definitely be back here again to try other things. Wish there was great Ethiopian food here but we're fortunate in Fresno to have pan-African food!

To be honest, I'm not a fan of the service here. The food was stale and microwaved, and there's no air conditioning, so it's not a pleasant place to dine. I wouldn't recommend going back.

Reminds me of the Indian grocery store with a kitchen in the back. There were different food items on the wall I wasn't familiar with but I think may be popular with those who came from Africa. I ordered by phone for pick up I got the Egusi Goat stew and Fufu, the flavor was mild and the stew will pretty much take on whatever meat is cooked. I felt like the goat was a bit on the game side for me. I will probably try the chicken next. A bit on the pricey range but I get the rarity of this dish. Ambiance pretty empty as there is maybe one or two who works because it's not busy at all.

When I was looking at the restaurant's page on Google, it says they close at 9pm. I called in to make a pick-up order, and was told if I can arrive before 8pm as the restaurant will be closing at 8pm. I was a bit shocked, but not a big deal--the server was very kind and took my orders promptly. I would recommend updating the restaurant's hours for better time management for customers. Upon my arrival, I received my packaged food, and everything was fresh. It was my first time eating African cuisines, and I have to say, I throughly enjoyed the dishes I ordered. I ordered the Egusi w/ Chicken and Fufu and the Jollof Rice w/ Chicken. Egusi w/ Chicken and Fufu--egusi was full of flavors, the spices was well-balanced, and the chicken was not too hard or soft, but has a good flavor and decent to eat. The fufu, especially, was the highlight in eating with the egusi, and was something that I enjoyed the most. The packaged fufu was quite small, and I definitely finished all the fufu and had plenty of egusi left. Jollof Rice w/Chicken--rice was flavorful and well-balanced in terms of spices. Overall, I am satisfied with my first experience in trying out African cuisine, and will come back.

Burnt chicken & soggy jollof rice

I was really excited to find out there was an African restaurant here in Fresno because I used to get mine in Oakland back when I lived there. I had been craving egusi soup, fufu, and jollof rice. I placed my order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 30 mins. I got there and had to wait another 15 mins. Here's the kicker, the man OPENS the fridge and shuts it. There's no way my food was about to get reheated. But it seems like it did. My jollof rice was soggy, the chicken was soggy & burnt, and it smelled off. The egusi looked fine but also smelled and tasted off. I'm sorry but these items were definitely not fresh and smelled and tasted like the food + dirty smelly socks. $54 for two dishes minus the tip. I understand it's their recipe & it's probably expensive to import the ingredients but I was very disappointed with the freshness & flavors. Not sure if I want to give this place another try.

Jollof rice plate with chicken, greens, and fried plantains

I found Triumph on tik tok and had to pay a visit same day! The food is so good the goat egusi soup was very flavorful with subtle spice if you have a tolerance. I also ordered the jollof rice plate with chicken, greens and fried plantains it all compliments very well and it's packed with flavor. The best jollof rice I've had in fresno. The owner was very nice and service was quick! The restaurant feels nostalgic and authentic. Highly recommend!

The staff was friendly, and their recommendation was spot on. We both ordered the jollof chicken rice, and it was delicious - so good that I forgot to stop and take a picture of the full bowl! The portions were generous, great value for the price and a satisfying meal. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

3 of the 7 items ordered. Theses three sat for 20 minutes getting cold while others where getting microwaved.

Waited an hour to receive my 7 item order. The microwave was running the whole time with no pots banging from spoons. I really started to think at this time. One guy working behind the partition and I'm thinking to myself we're not getting homemade fresh food day. After 40 minutes I received 3 items and 20 minutes later the whole order was completed. I get ready to pay and the guy says cash or cash app!!! I told him, how come you didn't tell us on the phone when we placed the order. I was ready to bounce but my wife wanted to try the food. So we paid 144.00 for 7 items that were frozen and reheated. My wife said, it was ok. For me I could only eat the chicken and rice and it had a very bitter taste. This place is over priced for reheated food

For a week a friend and I have been looking forward to having lunch and when we arrived at 11, the opening time posted on door, the place was dark, doors locked and so we called. Asked give them time and they would show up. Sat and not only are there no lights turned on, but they only serve bottled water that they charge for, no choice of water in a glass. The menus were given to us and they weren't even wiped clean, should of been the clue to leave. I ordered and my friend ordered the Goat meat and fish dish. The only thing you could see was the fish bones at the top of the dish. $30.00 (really?) I ordered the Chicken Peper Soup, pictured below, not appetizing at all. Chicken bones stand out the most. The taste was peppery, but just put the lid back on the plastic bowl and asked for the check I've eaten in a lot of places in my 22 years of living in Fresno and this has had to been the worst, Food may be okay for take-out but never have I been served in-house where food was served in take-out containers. Not a good experience at all!
