    Drunken noodles w/chicken

Thank you Yelp for steering me to Love & Thai. It's located in the Vallarta shopping center across from Fresno Pacific. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We had the drunken noodles w/chicken and garlic chicken w/steamed rice. Both were very tasty. Small, clean dining area.

We came here on a weekday evening and I had been here once before during their opening weekend. Their food is average for Thai food and there are some things that could be improved. This time we got the Pad Thai and the pad kee mao. The Pad Thai was a little more sour than sweet and also very saucy. It didn't have as much tamarind as I'm used to. The pad kee mao aka the drunken noodles was fine but the noodles were a little dry and tough. We ordered in the front, sat down, and the server brought us our food within 10 minutes. But we didn't see much of our server after that as everything is self-serve, including the water and sauces. It's a pretty fast casual type of restaurant.

Ordered pad Thai through DoorDash. It was exactly what I wanted. I ordered it with chicken and no bean sprouts, and spicy. Noodles and chicken are cooked perfectly, big portion and had great flavor! I'd like a little more green onion on it but other than that, it was delicious.

Tried this place in fresno today! The food was really impressive and flavorful!! Service was good as well, easy to order and the cashier was super helpful on giving advice on what to order. Has a indoor seating area, nice spot to catch up with a friend or a quick casual date! Def will be visiting again

I like their pad Thai but not the beef that is in the pad Thai. Super tough. Chicken is the way to go. Much more fish sauce flavor in their pad Thai than other places, be aware lol Place was clean and utensils were stocked. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

Let me start by saying, last time we had truly awful Thai here in Fresno & lost about $100. It was so inedible, we threw it all out. That was the third Thai restaurant we tried & they were all awful. We had great Thai in Modesto, but who wants to go 1 1/2 hrs away for food? Ok, we've done 2 1/2 hrs but those are rare circumstances. Good Thai is something we should be able to get in any town! So glad we tried this place! Service was good. Restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Located next to Mochilicious & Vallarta Supermarket. Fried Egg Rolls: Nice & crisp, not greasy & freshly fried. Veggie. Pork Belly: Perfect! Hard crunchy top & tender throughout. Sauce is really good--lightly spicy w/a punch! Pad See Ew Combo: All the meats! Pretty good tho my tastebuds like more garlic. Your mileage may vary. Definitely worthwhile tho! Pad Thai Porkbelly: Pretty good tho my tastebuds like more tamarind & lime. Your mileage may vary. Asked for extra lime & it really picked it all up. Definitely worthwhile tho!

The food had great flavor! The pad Thai was very good! The pad see ew had good flavor but the noodles were dry so the clumped up together. The curry was very flavorful and had a good amount of chicken. I would return but maybe try eating there to see if that helps with the noodle texture.

We love this place. This my favorite place to get beef jerky. The taste is on point. Just remember it is jerky. I had a few people think it was too dry. Their sauce is my favorite dipping sauce. Not watery and not too thick. Great consistency and flavor. Their chicken curry is great. Large portions and has a well balance of meat and vegetables. My husband loves their pork belly. We have never been disappointed going there or getting it to go. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended.

Definitely put the LOVE in Love & Thai. Thai food is easily a top 3 cuisine for me and so I HAD to try this place. I ordered over the phone for pickup and the food was ready in around 15 minutes which is pretty standard. The inside is clean and there's an adequate amount of seating for those who decided to dine in. THE FOOD: 〰 Pad Thai (4.5/5): Delish!!! I ordered this spicy but I don't think it had that much of a kick. Nonetheless, I thought the pad thai was incredibly flavorful and the noodles were cooked well. I got this with fried tofu and it is *chef's kiss*. 〰  Crispy Pork Belly (5/5): I can not stop thinking about this pork belly. It was SO GOOD!!!! The exterior is perfectly crisp but the meat was super tender. The house chili sauce it comes with???? My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I would go just to get this. Both of these dishes were good even after quite a drive home, so I can only imagine eating in is a whoooole other experience. So good.

    Chicken Satay (BBQ Sticks)

When I arrived they had a cute sign for the restaurant. There was plenty of parking since it's located along a shopping center. I had ordered online for pick up since I was driving from across town and didn't want to wait. Online ordering was really easy and quick. I ordered through Yelp which ended up going through grubhub. When entering the establishment you're greeted with the delicious smells of the food and there was a decent amount of seating available. My food was ready and bagged up when I arrived to pick it up. So the Kao poon was a bit of question mark for me. I've always had Kao Poon with chicken pieces in it that's cooked in the soup. I was a little puzzled when it was ground chicken. I tried it anyway and the broth had good flavor but the ground chicken threw me off. The Lao sausage was good too except it had huge chunks of lemongrass that I'd spit out cause it was poking my gums when I was chewing. The sticky rice it came with was more soggy is some areas than sticky. My daughter ate the fried chicken and only ate a little bit. She said the chicken was too dry for her. This chicken satay had good flavor and the peanut sauce was pretty good as well. I also got the papaya salad and that was really good. I probably wouldn't drive out of my way to get this again but if I was in the area I would make a stop to try other menu items.

Dined in for a late lunch. Small location but there was plenty of seating since they weren't busy. Once we entered someone from the back came out to greet us. You order at the counter then take any seat. Took a minute to look over the menu. The lady that took our order was very nice and helpful she allowed us to customize the items on our dishes which was amazing. My husband and I order a spicy basil chicken plate which came with rice and an egg, nam tok (bbq beef), side of sticky rice and pad thai. Waited few mins to get our food. Everything was fresh and hot served in reusable containers. The portions were great for the price. I don't normally order a spicy basil chicken only because I'm not a huge fan of basil but after watching a video I had a sudden craving so I decided to get it and I was so thankful that I was able to customize the amount of spice and basil on it. The dish was very delicious and perfect spice and couldn't hardly taste the basil just the way I asked for it. My husband's nam tok order was also very good the meat was seasoned well. The pad Thai however tasted a bit odd, couldn't quite figure it out. But we've had a fair amount of pad thai over the years and this one was a no go for us. They have a self serving utensils, napkin and Togo container lids conveniently accessible. And free self serve ice cold water. This establishment is clean and has a beautiful mural on the wall. Overall we had great experience. My cravings were satisfied. Will definitely be back to try my usual Thai food orders at this location.

    Door dash order
    Belen M.

Haven't been able to get over there in person yet so we did a door dash order. I hope to visit in person one day! Everything we ordered got to us!! YAY! Huge win! Ordered Pad Thai with chicken, Pad See Ew with beef, red curry with chicken and fresh rolls. Oh and enough sticky rice to feed an army! First things first-some of the dishes come with steamed rice!! So pay attention if you already get some. Red curry for sure does. Secondly the sticky rice order is a good portion and two orders would be good for a family of four. If you like extra then 3. You probably don't need 4 like I ordered. Haha!! The red curry was my favorite per usual, and even my husband said it was good. Then the pad Thai and lastly the pad see ew. It just didn't have a lot of flavor this time. The cuts of beef were also cut more as a chunk rather than slice and that changed it for me too. But I could be being picky! I haven't had a chance to try the spring rolls yet but they look pretty good and huge! Again, can't wait to try in person, but Love & Thai you did not disappoint on delivery!

    Sinny S.

Glad they were able to restart at this location. Seemed nice. The menu selection was good. The food was good. I liked that the owner explained about the murals. That did it for me right there; he spent the time to explain. This used to be the chicken place I loved. It is hard for me to switch over because I loved that place. Overall, a solid 4.

Idk. *shrugs* This time we got: Pad Kra Pao, Pad Se-Ew (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), and Thai Style Papaya Salad for dinner. We each had a different favorite dish out of the three entrees... Pad Se-Ew was mine (noodle head), followed by the Pad Kra Pao (perfect flavor, not too strong on the basil, egg fried just right), then the curry last (I prefer green or red more). The salad was good, refreshing. No spice whatsoever, but we knew that (one of the girls can't handle as much spice). The winner of our dinner? The Thai Tea Flight! I love the option of flights anywhere I go. It gives you the chance to try all the flavors you're curious about without committing to one that you may or may not like. Man... these were amazing. If I had to rank the flavors-- it was a toss-up between the Original Thai Tea and the Ube but since this is the battle of the Thai Teas... the OG gets a slight edge. Both freaking amazing though (we ordered full sizes of these after). Obviously Thai Iced Coffee comes next but coffee should be it's own category. It wins on its own as coffee. The Green Thai Tea came in last for all 3 of us, I believe. It's good, just not as good as the other three... and it's definitely more fragrant? Idk the right word for it. Anyway, I'd make more stops here just for these drinks alone now that i know how good they are. Staff was amazing. Friendly. Attentive. Restaurant still very aesthetic. Their plating of the meals? A+. It was a very good dinner.

The compound tofu was very flavorful. It wasn't mushy. The tofu was firm and all the seasonings paired well with it. The dude enjoyed his meal with the steak and purple rice. The rice was pretty good. I did not try the steak as I'm not vegetarian. But he really enjoyed it as it was butterfly pea rice. Our cocktails were delicious. Balanced not too sweet. It hit the spot. We were very impressed with this place and really enjoyed our time here all the flavors popped in every dish we had was delicious even the appetizer of the spring rolls. I ordered the Lunch Combo Special ($19), which came with two veggie egg rolls, Pad Thai, Panang chicken curry, and your choice of potato soup or salad. I went with the potato soup. It came with half of a potato in a broth, and honestly, it was way better than I expected! It had a lot of flavor. I thought you got a lot of food for the price. The veggie egg rolls were nice and crunchy, and the Pad Thai was really good, especially since it was my first time trying it. My favorite part was definitely the Panang chicken curry. It had so much flavor, and I'd absolutely order it again. Overall, this is such a good lunch spot! The food was really good, the portions were great, and everyone was so nice and helpful. My friend has also ordered their lunch to go before and said they still give you a lot of food, so that's good to know too. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for lunch. I really liked the spot, and we were looking for a Thai place we like that is closer to where we live - in the Bullard High area. We started off with vegetable egg rolls that were beautifully rolled and perfectly fried, and came with a delicious sauce. That was followed by a Chicken Larb Salad that was fresh and delicious. It was spicy - we requested medium spice on the two dishes that offered a range of spice - but perfectly seasoned. My only complaint would be that there were too few lettuce leaves to wrap in. Our main dishes were Pad Thai and the Thai Chili Basil Crispy Pork. Both were very tasty. The Crispy Pork was one of the best things I've had in a while. It too was supposed to be medium spiced, but interestingly not nearly as spicy as the Larb Salad. I only had a couple of bites of the Pad Thai, but those were very good, and my wife enjoyed it. Finally, for the amount of food we had, the price was very reasonable.

**Review from 2024 .......... Added here from previous trip**…read more So finally tried Thai Basil. Here is my honest review.... I am sooo glad we have something different in Madera. With that said here we go... Service.. service was super slow for an empty Sunday night. The young lady taking orders had no clue what sauces were on the dishes, had no clue what the ingredients were, she couldn't explain anything, she read the description on the menu back to me. She stated she had not had most dishes there. Her description of the cucumber salad was it's cucumber in a clear watery sauce.. ‍ I'm happy she was there to take our orders and she was nice. Presentation.. Presentation was quite nice for Madera! It was nice to see simple, yet pretty playing! The curry soup.. the flavors were quite muted for Thai food IMO. It was a good difference in texture having it topped with wontons. We ordered it medium spicy as well, which was great. The spicy pork flat noodle dish had great heat at medium spice level, wish I would have gone hot, since I like things SPICY . The texture of the pork was quite tough since they used a leaner cut of meat which was ok. I was surprised at the amount of meat on the plate for a noodle dish. Speaking of noodles they were almost sprinkled in in super small pieces, but the texture was on point. We wished there were more noodles. The broccoli seemed out of place I wish there was more Chinese broccoli which was cooked to perfection!!! The cucumber salad was delicious!!! We both stated we wished the onions weren't three inches long. I will definitely be making this at home! It would be a perfect pairing to grilled chicken or shrimp for a nice summer dinner!! We loved it!!! Saltiness of the food.. I think of Thai as having a few key flavors and the dishes are definitely on the saltier side, this was lacking salt, butttttt I prefer more salt than most people so not a true fair assessment. I was surprised there weren't any sauces on the table. Design and lay out.. it was very small inside but they did well with the space allotted and I loved the decor. The place needs a good dusting, we sat next to the wall and the wood was white with dust directly over the table. Overall it was a great meal considering I didn't have to cook, the plating was lovely, and it was something different for Madera! I wish them well!!! I'm happy they are here!!! Buttttttttt so far Coconut Cafe in Merced has a strong hold on our heart!! I can't wait to go back and try the Larb and the Pad Thai!

We had come here last year in the summer but I had forgotten to write a review. We came back a few…read moredays ago to get some noodles. They have a large variety of noodles here, pho, thai boat noodles, khao soy, khao poon, and also tons of other thai /cambodian / lao choices. We got a thai boat noodle, khao soy, and pork belly to share. The thai boat noodle and khao soy are delicious. It was my first time ordering khao soy I thought khao soy was a curry based dish, but my noodles were a pork based broth, still yummy though! The pork belly here is huge and served hot and super crispy, miles better than any other pork belly I've tried. The thai tea had an off putting flavor, like they had made it with soy mik? instead of condensed evaporated milk? Total was $83 after tax and tip, this place is pretty hole in the wall but even hole in the wall places have to charge more now to keep up with inflation. Great fast service !
