Customer service was ok. It would have been nice if he had asked if I was dining in. I saw everyone that dined in got a plate. I got a to go plate. Even after he saw me eating there, didn't even ask if I wanted water. But other diners had water. I got a falafel wrap and fries. It didn't really give me that Greek flavor! The fries were just fries! The place was filling up, and it was a line at the register! Maybe I got the wrong item!

ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR. I've been to turkey and these wraps rival the best I've ever had. Very nice staff and centrally located. Great place for lunch, and not expensive. Go here!!!

Garlic chicken wrap with yummy rice and veggies
    Pamela S.

I was a little disappointed with this spot after hearing such great things. I ordered the garlic chicken wrap, but it seemed more like a chicken soft taco, and I didn't taste much garlic flavor even with the extra sauce. However, the chicken itself was very tender and had a nice, subtle crunch. I did enjoy the carrots and zucchini that came with the plate; they were soft and well-seasoned, not hard like you sometimes find at other restaurants. I also tried the baklava, but it appeared undercooked and had peanuts instead of walnuts, which was a bit off-putting. Our server was friendly, but we had to ask for our drinks twice. They were very apologetic, though.

The Gus Burger - a Black Angus beef patty served on lightly toasted sourdough bread, with sauteed onions and bell peppers and topped with Thousand Island dressing - was about as good as it looked. It looked ordinary and tasted the same, so I was unimpressed. The fries were forgettable. I have also tried the Bacon Cheeseburger and this is a better option. The menu mentions it is also served with a spread of Thousand Island. I could have sworn mine was served with mustard on it. However, it has been a couple of years since I tried it. They may have changed which condiment is added to the burger. As for their Mediterranean dishes, the Gyro was a good choice for someone who wants a delicious meal without overstuffing themselves or on a tight budget. It mixes lamb and beef wrapped on a pita, with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, parsley, and tzatziki sauce. The meats were well-seasoned, the lettuce, tomatoes, and onion gave the gyro a nice crunch and savoriness in combination with the meats. The tzatziki sauce gave it that distinct tartiness. The pita bread was lightly grilled and chewy. I wish they would have stuffed more meat into the wrap. Nevertheless, at $10 if you order a la carte, the gyro is a delicious and reasonably priced menu item. The Combo Kabob entree consists of beef kofta and chicken kabobs, Mediterranean rice, sauteed vegetables, onions, tzatziki sauce, a slice of pita bread, and creamy garlic sauce. The beef kofta was my favorite, it was so savory and juicy. The chicken kabobs were also full-flavored and moist. I felt they could have been more generous with the portions. Nevertheless, it is unquestionably the best dish on the menu. Service can be spotty. They need to do a better job maintaining flow during the busy lunch hours, including being more attentive and quick to bring dine-in guests ready to leave their bills. I was among the guests who had to wait patiently for a server to hand me my bill or flag someone down to get me a menu and then later to refill my cup of water. The system can leave first-time dining-in guests needing clarification. A server will take your order and bring you your bill after you have finished your meal, but you will need to pay at the counter unless you have a server with a credit card reader and processor. Not every popular dish on its menu is a hit with me. I would suggest sticking with their traditional Mediterranean dishes like the kabobs and pita sandwiches. Metered street parking and public garage parking only.

    Spicy chicken plate
    Jurry P.

We dined in for dinner and both ordered the creamy spicy chicken plate and a chicken fattoush salad to share. Everything was really delicious and well seasoned. The sautéed veggies dipped in the garlic sauce were great! The chicken in the salad was the same as the spicy chicken plate with bits of the crispy pita tossed with the salad was also good. Dined in service was kind of slow despite it being empty in there but noticed it's because they were a lot of to go orders. From taking the order and getting the food was not long though. Overall, loved the food and will come back again for them.

    Gus Spicy Chicken Wrap
    Bjorn B.

I ordered the spicy chicken wrap that came with the option. Wrap by it self or as a plate that included the wrap and some veggies and rice pilaf . I must say this was really good . It exceeded my expectations! The service was great and food came out fast . The ambiance could be improved on maybe more picture on the wall. But he I'm here for the excellent food . If you like Mediterranean I would definitely recommend you add this place to your to try places . Food was really good. Will come back to this place to try something else

    Gus Creaming Spicy Chicken

I've been to Mediterranean Gus Kabob a couple of times now, and it never disappoints. My go-to order is the Spicy Chicken Plate, and it's always on point. The chicken is full of flavor and perfectly cooked, mixed with sautéed bell peppers and onions that really take it to the next level. The plate comes with their seasoned rice and veggies, which balance the spice really well and make the meal filling without being heavy. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared. If you're craving Mediterranean food with bold flavors, you really can't go wrong with this spot. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Delicious! This place was recommended by one of my clients. The chicken is juicy and flavorful. Would recommend!

    Spicy chicken

Food is super tasty. Ordered the spicy chicken which comes w pilaf, pita bread and veggies. Ordered no squash and they got the order right. The place is pretty clean but there were a couple tables needing a wipe after the lunch rush. Set up is kinda strange in that you seat yourself then someone comes over if the see you. But it's all about the food. Chicken and veggies tasty. Pita bread was stale. I had to request sauce/dip for it. Portion sizes were smaller than usual. Usually there's enough to take home for the next day. Oh well. Over all a solid 4.

    Chicken angel hair pasta....
    Alan C.

3 1/2 stars. It was lunchtime, and there are a lot of offices, as well as a federal courthouse in the area, so the place was extremely busy. The lady at the register was polite, but it was obvious that she was also very busy juggling regular and phone orders. She advised me that it would take 30 minutes to get my food, which was fine, because I had the time to wait. I ordered the chicken angel hair pasta, and overall, I was disappointed. the chicken tasted good, but it was a bit dry. I had a tzatziki type sauce to dip it in that helped. I liked the Rich and salty taste of the Kalamata olives, but the veggies were right at the very edge of being overdone, with some being flat out overdone. not only that, but the Dish, especially the pasta, was pretty greasy. I was not impressed. The prices were reasonable. If I were to come back, maybe next time I would try something like the kebab, which everybody seems to be raving over, or maybe a salad. Stay away from the pasta. Thanks anyway .

My husband and I actually started coming here because we received a gift certificate on our wedding day, so every visit has always been meaningful to us. Unfortunately, our most recent visit completely changed how I feel about this restaurant. Our waitress was Brenda (a middle-aged Caucasian woman with glasses). I want to be clear about who served us because my receipt also listed the name Brenda, and I would hate for another employee to receive this review by mistake. We were seated fairly quickly even though it was a very busy night and the restaurant was full. I want to say upfront that I completely respect how hard servers work, and I understand busy nights happen. However, after sitting for quite a while without anyone taking our order, I politely told Brenda that we were ready. I am diabetic and was not feeling well, so the wait was starting to affect me. Her response was, "Sorry, we're really busy tonight and there are only three of us waitressing." I understood that they might be short staffed, but at the very least she could have taken our drink order. Instead, she continued cleaning tables and serving other customers. I watched four different tables get seated after us and receive drinks, salads, and appetizers before we even placed our order. As someone who has been coming here for years, I have never felt so uncomfortable or overlooked in this restaurant. In 2026, no customer should feel that way anywhere. When our food finally came, everything arrived at once -- our hummus, salad, and entrée -- which made the experience feel rushed and poorly handled. When I asked Brenda for more napkins, she never returned to our table. We eventually had to go to the register ourselves to pay because she never brought our check. Before leaving, I explained to her how the situation made me feel. She responded with several explanations about being busy and short staffed, but that was never the real issue. The issue was the way we were treated. She forgot who we were all night but when it came to pay my tab, she definitely knew what table we were sitting at because her response was. I'll get your tab for table 3.. The food was amazing as it has always been, but sadly the service we received completely ruined the experience. After nearly nine years of coming here, this will unfortunately be my last visit.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
