TropiBowls has a wide selection depending on your mood and needs. They have Acai bowls, juice, smoothies, and hot food. I had the pesto chicken bowl. It's very tasty and filling. It's on a bed of rice with, sliced carrots, kale, cherry tomatoes, and chicken pesto. I found the kale and carrots add a nice texture and crunch. The cherry tomatoes add flavor and a nice acid. This complements the chicken very well while topped with litght cheese. I also found the chicken portion to be very healthy. Overall a great bowl, and no wonder it's their number one seller. I'll definitely be back again to try more of the menu. They also have sweet breads and carrots if you have a sweet tooth for dessert. There is plenty of additional parking in the back if needed. TropiBowls is a small local chain serving healthy smoothies and acai bowls. It was founded by Daniel Mederos and Natasha Teague in 2020. Their first location is in Oakland Park and it was where I met Natasha during a Yelp event. They have now expanded to Tamarac and this location in the Park Plaza Shopping Center in Federal Hwy in Pompano Beach. Mederos has said "We would love to keep expanding. We want to spread healthy eating at an affordable price." The last time I was at a TropiBowls I had the Sunshine State Açaí Bowl with kiwi, pineapple, strawberries, almonds, granola, honey, and shaved coconut served inside of a hollowed-out frozen pineapple, Açaí (pronounced aa·saa·ee) is from the acai palm tree, which is native to Central and South America. Açaí is considered a super food with anti-aging and weight loss properties. Its pulp is even richer in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries. The berry has been eaten for thousands of years by indigenous people in the Amazon but it recently became popular when the Gracie family, famous for their Brazilian jiujitsu gyms, invented frozen açaí bowl in the late 1980s. They found the fruit to be low in sugar, full of vitamins and antioxidants, and an energy booster. Unfortunately it had an earthy flavor that reminded some people of dirt. To mask the flavor they flash froze the pulp and berries and used it as a smoothie base mixed with sweeter fruits that masked the flavor. The texture is similar to a sorbet. Now there are açaí bars all over Brazil where you can get it topped with all kinds of fruits, granola, and nuts. Some people eat it as a refreshing breakfast. In addition to açaí, TropiBowls also has pitaya, coconut, green, and oatmeal bowls along with coffee, tea, cold pressed juices, smoothies, avocado toast, egg sandwiches, wraps, rice bowls, and signature salads. On this visit I decided on the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap made with spring mix, tomatoes, onions, grilled chicken, ranch, bacon and cheese, ($11.99). My sandwich was excellent. I like how they grilled the wrap after it was filled with tender white meat chicken, fresh vegetables, and a tasty ranch sauce. The acai bowl here was so fresh it was great! Came out quickly and the peanut butter was a good touch. It did not melt too fast which was great because we usually have that problem. Also they are dog friendly and allow them to come inside. Everyone there was nice and super helpful. read more

I stopped by for the first time and I wasn't too happy. I got a smoothie and it was really good but I wanted the omega smoothie with bananas and my dad wanted the energy smoothie with bananas. They did not have any bananas, all their smoothies except 1 have bananas in it. That's what I came for so I just got the smoothie and substitute strawberry, which turned out very good. Then, I ordered the Buddha bowl which I was excited about, they did not have the cheese either but I still ordered it anyways. When I finally opened it I found there was also no chicken so I ended up calling the store to ask (the lady was very nice) but she told me that it did not include chicken in the physical menu and on the website it said chicken for the same price it said on the physical menu. She ended up refunding me and was very kind about telling me they were out of almost everything but I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. read more

Pompano Beach's new specialized açaí bowl and juice bar! I gave them a visit during their grand opening where they were offering 50% off their bowls. They have a menu of bowls with açaí, pitaya, coconut or green smoothie bases that you can build your own or choose their specialty bowls. They have three unique "sizes" that start with their bowl ($11.99), a carved out fresh pineapple ($14.99) or a carved out fresh watermelon ($34.99). So a great option for small groups as well to share a unique experience and love how their ingredients are part of their display/decor. I built my own acai bowl, where you get your choice of four fruits, 2 toppings and 2 drizzles. To say it came out beautifully is an understatement! Fresh and filling, with the added benefits of the standard superfood hype that comes with eating an açaí bowl makes for a great breakfast or lunch spot any day. I didn't have a good experience at TropiBowls. I made a large order by phone, which I know is easy to mess up. However, the order was taken correctly, per my receipt, but the açaí bowls were made wrong. I ordered 3, they only made two...but mixed those two up. They made the 3rd one while I waited, but still charged me even though I was willing to keep the other 2 bowls that were made wrong. But still, that's no big deal because I have no problem paying for what I order. The worst part was that they weren't even good. I placed a nearly $90 order and most of it went in the trash. The açaí bowls were extremely sweet and had a weird taste. The Turkey BLT barely had any Turkey on it and it just wasn't good. The chicken wrap was dry and lacked flavor. The avocado toast was decent but nothing to write home about. I also tried to order a smoothie but they couldn't make smoothies. Pretty sure I won't be back. read more

I was a huge fan of tropibowls when they opened on Comercial Blvd. sage the manager made everyone feel welcomed. Was there yesterday and the place was filthy. The girl at the counter asked for tip when I put my credit card in. Then I went to the bathroom and there was urine on the toilet seat. I cleaned it with my sani wipes and put tissue down. When I came out and told the only girl there she said oh and gave me a dirty look. I said the proper answe is oh I'm sorry and I'll take care of it right away. The garbage was overflowing. Disgusting. Thank God the young man who works there made my salad.
