Friendly service and good selection of fish and plants. The feeders were really cheap.

Overall friendly, there's an older lady that's fun and cheerful. Very helpful when I asked about how to treat my water. She showed me a variety of products and explained each one, along with her personal favorite. There was no pressure, the fish looked well kept with a decent variety. Everything was reasonably priced they have a a SALE section for what looks like used equipment large tanks etc. which is nice to see. They have lots of rocks and other decorative things along with a handful of different live plants. I also saw the betta that people keep talking about. They are in similar containers to those in Petco or Pet smart. They looked in a lot better condition to those in big commercial stores. It's difficult to keep male bettas in larger tanks it's uneconomical for a pet store, so these are in smaller containers but they look well kept. Overall, good store I've only ever been greeted by the older lady but every time was a good experience. I will continue to support them. PS: this is an Asian owned store so there is a language barrier but I had no issues communicating don't let that deter you. Support small businesses. Happy fishing everyone! read more

Costumer service is really bad the owners wife and this elderly lady are very rude I have bought many of fancy goldfish and ranchus here before and always ignored the insults because of the product prices but no more I finally can say I will never come here again .me my wife and son came in to buy more fish and the owners wife asked if both of us were pregnant and touched our belly's multiple times then continued to follow us around and try to touch my sons face we are very hurt and insulted for the body shamming very rude and disrespectful behavior. read more

I purchased a Plecostomus from here. I was cycling my tank and fell in love with one of the plecos there and asked the gentleman if I paid for him and could come back in a week once my tank was done finishing the cycle. He agreed and even let me pick the tank. I came back a week later to my first fishy friend that was still in the same tank! This was like in Feb and I still have him! The owner was kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I did not feel pressured or bombarded by questions and was allowed to browse without feeling like someone was breathing down my neck to help me. Will come back again! I just wish he had a little more variety, but it is a smaller family owned business. read more

Wow......Sue me if I go to the beach.......fyi there is someone out there using magic to kill fish.....I have never given so many fish the royal flush....can't believe this......but to sum up this review I have to say that this little mom and boss fish store way down harbor past two MacDonalds and in the same center as the second one and past Mario's car sales is really tops.....and if your like me and don't have a lot of money and your fish die even before you have a chance to take them to the pet vet than stop paying premium prices and drive way down harbor this place where you have to move a cone to park and fyi don't park in the spot that reads smoke shop or else you will hear from their boss so check out Tropical Fish world for some cool fish that might die in a week.....five stars for price and quality...... read more

This shop does have a variety of fish, which is great. However, this review is for the way the bettas are treated. I noticed a sorority tank and a couple bettas had obvious stress lines on them as well as nipped fins :( which really broke my heart. There was another tank with one betta and either all tetras Or all guppies (don't remember). This betta also has severely nipped fins. Finally, there was a tank with ONE betta and all sharks. This betta also did not look so well. I am all for having bettas in something bigger than a cup but please check on your fish and make sure they are living stress free. read more

The owners are so knowledgeable and helpful they literally explain everything step-by-step with absolutely no frustration. They are eager for you to understand and help your fish survive and look beautiful! The selection is excellent and they are knowledgeable about what fish get along in a tank. rating 1/5 stars for treatment of bettas. they were in tiny inhumane cups smaller than petco/PetSmart. I saw a giant betta that had severely torn fins, could barely swim, and was clearly about to die and asked for a discount. The owner said no and I had to leave without her because I didn't want to support a business that treats bettas this way. All in all an upsetting experience. read more

I came in and asked what kind of tank I should get for my gold fish, he sold me a tank with a built in filter. And 2 days later 2 my fish died from exhaustion because the filter was too strong. So I came in, and told him my situation before I could even finish my situation he started saying that they died from disease and were too weak. I just wanted to trade my fish tank to one that the filter was not built in filter. He wouldn't even offer any other solution. Would hardly even let me speak. The place is a bit cramped and the kid they have working there doesn't know anything about the fish so expect to be on your own when you come here. The tanks aren't all that bad actually, but some of the fish like the guppies were fighting hard currents. The older man in the front did not say anything to me but that's how older asian owners are, I'm used to it. The younger gentleman who worked there did ask me if I needed anything. The store seemed to have ok prices. They surprisingly had a tank of female bettas living together peaceful, refreshing to see. There was also a good selection of rocks. The male guppies were definitely fighting too strong of current and some of the betta cups were so cloudy, I could not see the bettas at all. Mom and pops store. Not a lot of varieties for fish, but for dry foods and supplies they got a lot. Some of the prices for fish was worth it. The store has two free reserved parking located right outside the store. Not the cleanest store but prices made up for it. read more

They dont only sell tropical fish but also kois, gold fish, gubbies, live water plants, sea snails and crabs. Its a pretty cool place. Things are fairly cheap in comparing to petsmart (about 35 - 40% off of petsmart). Got the river stones, some plants, 3 goldfish and a freshwater puffer fish. ( although my puffer just died this morning with unknown death cause, everythinh else seems pretty alive to me.) The selection is quite a lot and unique. I even see some live corals there. The owners there are very nice and helpful. She did sell me plants that looks like coming out from her backyard and mention some plants comes from her neighours. But I found the little plant that will close up the leaves when you touch them. They are my favourite plants when I was a kid. Pretty excited about the find. read more

Horrible service and atmosphere. The owner forces his children to work for him and follow you around the store. I feel bad for them as they are trying not to be a***holes but definitely know they're coming off as such when their dad sends them to ask you for the 40th time "do you need help? Are you going to buy something or are you just looking? You have to move your car from the parking spot if you're not buying anything." They treat you like a criminal and if you're wasting their time by taking a look at what fish you might want to get. Sad too. I thought I was going to enjoy this place but was sadly mistaken. I went in and came in looking for glo fish however I found more options and I really liked what I got to see there. I ended up buying a African Cichlid and a Silver Tip shark. I was satisfied with my purchase and I even took guppies that were 10 for $1!! The owner was helpful and very nice as well as informative. I will be going back for more fish tomorrow! read more

The store does not look like much from the outside, and once you are in there, it still does not look like much. Their selection is somewhat limited and the tanks that the fish are kept in look old. However, I've had a 0% attrition rate for the livestock that I purchased from here, and the prices are rock-bottom. $2.98 for CPDs that are in great condition. I've never dealt with anyone other than the older gentleman and it's been pleasant. If you know what you're doing and what you want, then this is a good place to shop. I would not come here expecting conversation or tips. They're just not that into conversing with their customers. read more

BEWARE !!!! Walked I to this store saw SEVERALfish dead in tanks and made the mistake of still purchasing from here ! I bought 10 cardinal tetras last week , AND WELL they're dead now ! Not just that I have a very established tank with fish I've had for years . 3 of my corys are dead one of my glass catfish and 3 khuli loaches , along with5 of My bigger cardinal teras I'm so upset . I lost 50$ worth of fish but more importantly lost pets that I've own and enjoyed for years now . I will more than likely lose more fish as well which is a bummer waking up yo dead animals . I remember a few weeks ago I was doing some shopping and struck up a conversation with a patron and one thang led to another and we were sharing pictures of our hobby..... fishkeeping....so it seemed this stranger was new in town and he presented the question "where is the best place to buy fish around here?"....and with that question I sort of felt like a kid in a candy store because I'm not bragging but I have to admit I have been to them all....and for some reason one fish store was left standing above all of the rest.....sure I could have told him to go down warner for double shot.....or around the area that that evening club is there is a real gem.......but what I told him to do was to get in your car and drive waaay down harbor and you need to pass the first McDonald's and then you'll see Marios used cars.....and then when you finally see the second McDonald's your home free and the only thing you need to do is get out of your car.....move the red cone......get back in your car and safety maneuver into the parking spot that has a sign that reads...... tropical fishworld parking only...... read more

Solid local fish store. Some tanks were a little dirty but the fish looked healthy overall and the prices are good. They carry most of your typical freshwater aquarium fish, but there's also some more unusual species. I found an elephant nose fish and some puffers. Super cool. They also have Galaxy female bettas for $6. A steal!! You'd be paying $20 anywhere else. Aquascaping materials such as rocks and driftwood are available at a reasonable price. They don't have a lot of plants and the tanks available are generally small like under 30 gallons. They have assassin snails, some mystery snails, and nerites. No shrimps though. Nothing special in the invertebrate category. All in all, nice place to stop by for casual aquarium hobbyists. The employees seem knowledgeable and helpful but won't go out of their way to bug you while you're strolling around. I'll definitely consider this place the next time I want to stock a community tank. read more

This establishment is absolutely magnificent, although it's small, it's sweet and gets what you need for your aquarium. I've visited this place a couple of time and I was always met with satisfaction. They have everything from guppies to the filter carriage for your hang on the back filter. I would recommend this place for everyone who is on a budget. The prices are reasonable and the staff are really friendly. Even though others say otherwise, I believe they approached this place with negativity making their experience swayed. Especially when this place is booming with costumers, the staff can control so much. The best thing about this place is that you pick what fish you want, the staff hand you a square container to get fish with a net and when your done, they put them in a bag with oxygen and charge you for them. This was the greatest experience I've ever had in a fish store. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone who has an open mind and is on a budget. read more

All the fish were sick. The plants were overpriced. I got a scoop of duckweed for 3 dollars (that's six times what it said in the label) and it all died within a week.
