While staying in Lynn, I visited Tropical Nails twice. My stepmother highly recommended this place, as it's her nail salon. I absolutely loved both pedicures. The staff here is so friendly and welcoming and many clients have been coming for years, so it's like family. It's an older salon but clean and they are taking COVID precautions, like using dividers, which I love. They have a good OPI color selection and nail art options. My pedicures were great and the designs are really cute. I am definitely looking forward to returning when I come home again. read more

I had a HORRIBLE regular manicure with manicurist Linda. I was a walk-in and had never been to the salon. Here are my many complaints: She was rough when she was clipping my cuticles, fast with all layers of polish, and applied the nail polish so thinly that it looked streaky when I left. Linda took three outside phone calls when I was there. She told me her father cheated on her mother (did I need to know this after 10 minutes and never having met her?) She put some lotion on one hand and massaged it for about 10 seconds and didn't bother with the other hand. I had to tell her to clean under my nails; otherwise, she wouldn't have done it. As I expected, my polish chipped the next day and about 3-4 days later it was almost gone. I will NEVER go back there! read more

Large salon, outdated decor. Nice nail color selection . They do anything from shellac to acrylic, pedicures, and waxing. Think they have 7 chairs for pedicures. I usually see Linda and she is really good. Never been disappointed. I wanna say she's the one that does the good designs in the shop, (I've heard other techs ask her if she will do a customers design, when they did the lady's nails). She's done acrylic on me, shellac, manicures with my natural nails, and my pedicures. Good prices. Staff is nice. Clean place . Nothing spectacular, but I have not had a reason to not return. read more

I called at 5pm on a Friday and they told me to come in at 6:30pm. I arrived and sat in an empty chair waiting. Four others were at the beginning of the process. I knew I would be waiting a while. After 15 minutes the manicurist doing the customer next to me turned on the bath and told me to put my feet inside. I watched her put color on the woman. After 15 minutes I thought she was finished but she pulls out white polish and begins to paint flowers. Then I thought she was finished bit she pulls out a sparkly polish. By this point my feet had been soaking for 25 minutes and it was getting uncomfortable. I thought forty minutes was enough time to wait. I took my feet out of the tub, put on my flip flops and walked out. The place was dirty and tacky. read more

Cheap nail products and terrible outcomes. Nail broke immediately the day after. I got a dip and some nails were lifting after the first day. I went to get my nail fixed and literally another broke as I grabbed my wallet to give a little tip. Terrible and cheap products. They do not provide good service at all. Run far away! read more

This salon is owned by a lady named Tina I must first say she is good by how she runs her business is awful and appalling. She overlooks appointments and you end up sitting there for hours while she finishes someone else. Mind you she picked the time that was convenient for her but still you end up waiting for an hour. I used to go years ago when I lived across the street but I recently stopped by and she did my nails. To make a long story short I've been back several times in the past 3 days to fix my nails. I love this place. They make me feel so comfortable as a guy. I've been here for several manicures with different technicians and all have been great. Getting my first pedicure as a I write this and I'm really happy with the attention to detail. There are places near by that are better rated but they were somewhat snoopy, rude and entitled when I went in. If you are passing through or live nearby, this place is worth a try. I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

I have no idea what the lady's name who did my nails is but... she did a horrible job. The acrylic is uneven on all of my nails, they are way too thin, they are unevenly shaped, the nail polish was lumpy-when she tried to fix it, it became bubbly all over my nails & now there are air bubbles dried in them, they do not have enough staff to be taking walk in appointments & they have children running around all over the place. I made an appointment to get a full set of acrylics done at 6 pm and no one was even available to take me at that time. I sat for 30 mins until a tech freed up, at which point I no longer wanted my appointment. My friend was getting Shellac done and I know for a fact they didn't follow the Shellac system or used Shellac products, yet they charged the pricing for it. Never coming here again and I'm hoping my friend never comes back here either. read more

I went to get my nails done for my graduation and the within a few hours the gel started lifting off my nail, went back the next day to show them what a few of my nails looked like and she said for me to sit down she'll do it again but I had work so I said I'd come back on my free time and when I did I had to pay an extra $20 dollars for THEM messing up.
