I honestly felt so good after eating the food here and that's how you know the ingredients in your dishes are of good QUALITY. Our bodies can tell after we eat unhealthy American fast food, we feel sluggish and like sh*t but HERE at Kiwaz Caribbean Spice, I closed my eyes with every bite and I felt so good after I ate my food!!! They have a cool little set-up with a service window so you can order when you get there. I also saw they have seafood boil so I'm definitely going to try that my next time. God bless and thank you to the owners and chefs of this amazing cuisine! I am a Cambodian local of Lowell, born and raised, and your food reminds me of the love and herbs we pour into our own dishes.

The staff is always very friendly, accommodating and incredibly welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about the menu u and were always happy to answer any questions we may have had. I've ordered from this restaurant multiple times and the fried pork, legume, and oxtail with the rice and beans have always been super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Over my experience at Kiwaz is always 10/10!! The food is super delicious, the service is excellent, and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! So happy to have them in Lowell because there's a huge lack in this area for Caribbean food!

Hidden Gem and Unassuming is exactly how I'd describe El Criollo Restaurant in Dracut. Last night…read morewas date night with my two girlfriends and we met up with some of our foodie friends for another food adventure--this time, it took us to the Caribbean. Criollo is located in a small strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside, but as soon as you open the doors you know you're in for a treat. The decor is polished and cozy with a nice bar area; the kitchen is semi-open so you can see the flames as your food is firing. They have fantastic Caribbean and Puerto Rican fare with beautiful, thoughtfully crafted cocktails. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Here were some of the highlights: -Chicharron: crispy pork belly bites, need I say more -Alcapurria jueyes (Fried crab fritters): golden, crispy fritter with a crunchy exterior and soft, savory inside with flavorful crab filling. The fresh bites from the onion slaw were a nice touch with these. -Chicken empanadas: dip these in the pink sauce with a touch of their spicy sauce and you're in heaven. Slightly crisp and flaky exterior with a tender, chewy bite, perfect for holding the delicious filling. -Mofongo with shrimp and garlic sauce: if you've never tried garlic sauce on Mofongo, I highly suggest it. It's creamy and garlicky in all the right ways. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the Mofongo brought me right back to my trip to Puerto Rico where I first fell in love with it. -Churros: truly the best ones I ever had. It was a last minute add on because "why not!" and the best decision! We made reservations for 6:30pm and when we arrived it wasn't overly busy, but by the time we left every table was filled. And that's no surprise based on our experience.

If you like Spanish & Dominican food, you need to go to this little gem parked away from the road like hidden away. On the evening of Sunday, August 30th, 2025, we ordered 4 large "pollo guisado" aka "stewed…read morechicken" dinners with white rice and habichuela beans with a side of lettuce/tomato salad for $13.99 each meal and 1 large side order of "habichuelas" aka "beans" for $10.50 for pick up via phone. SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS OF WHAT THEY GAVE US BELOW. However, when my husband got to the store and AFTER he already PAID for the food order, the front cashier/clerk told him she had sold out of the white rice and that he had to wait an additional 25 minutes as she was making another batch of white rice. The problem is that this was NOT DISCLOSED TO US until he got to the store--and ONLY AFTER he had already paid for the whole order. This was an inconvenience for all of us because we had ordered the 4 dinners nearly over 30 minutes PRIOR to heading to pick up the dinners. Our meals should have been set aside by the cashier or helper, not wait until AFTER he got to the store and ONLY AFTER he paid AND left her a 15% tip for a PICK-UP ORDER to let us know they ran out of white rice. Had the store worker told him BEFORE him paying, he could have made the choice of leaving or waiting for an additional 25 mins. They should have given him the CHOICE to decide what WE WANTED to do, not FORCE us to pay then force him to wait an additional 25 minutes for the 4 dinners, which conveniently benefitted the cashier/clerk and store as they made sure they got the purchase sale through BEFORE letting us know they were out of the white rice! Later, when we got the 4 large dinners at $13.99 each, the LARGE order portions were very SMALL. The stewed chicken portions were small, the beans that were put on top of the white rice were less than 1/4 of a cup and mostly bean juice, and the side salad was extra small. Additionally, the almost $11 large side order of beans was 1/2 filled with beans and 1/2 filled with bean juice. This is NOT acceptable and very unprofessional. Therefore, due to this unfortunate cashier/clerk's decision of not notifying us that they ran out of white rice PRIOR to us paying for the 4 dinners, plus filling less than 1/2 portion of the 1 large beans container--and then, giving us only SMALL portions of all contents in our 4 large chicken stew order meals along with only 1/4 cup of beans on top of the rice with an extra small salad, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND ordering large dinners from Cibao Restaurant at 383 Amherst Street, in Nashua, NH. So, if you are looking for delicious tasting Dominican & Puerto Rican style well priced food, we recommend ordering from DON QUIJOTE RESTAURANT (+1-603-622-2246, at 362 Union Street, Manchester, NH, https://www.donquijoteunion.com/ . Don Quijote restaurant's food is amazing! Their large portion comes with 3 tender skinless chicken thighs in tomato with garlic, green pepper, onion, seasoned sauce with lots of great tasting habichuela beans and rice with a side order of salad. Don Quijote will give you what you paid for and serve you will actually get a large portion serving with their orders. Trust me, they send you so much food you'll have enough leftover for a second meal vs the other place (Cibao Restaurant) which leaves you wondering why they under serve their paying customers.

We have learned this as new parents - so with that long introduction, we had no expectations when coming to Bahama Breeze. We were hoping it would be like visiting an international Chili's where the food is Caribbean, seated customers don't care too much about your wild kids and staff is friendly and helpful. Well, it was and we had a phenomenal time here! Our waitress was amazing and our great experience was in part thanks to her efforts. We ordered: 1.) 2 margaritas (they were $2 and we were curious), definitely would not order again because they were mix drinks but we appreciated how strong they were! 2.) Tuna Tostada Stack (4 stars) - we ordered this because appetizers were half off. The tuna was loaded and fresh. The tostones were slightly over cooked and that's the only reason I didn't give this dish 5 stars. The mix of 3 sauces was delicious! 3.) Blackened Mahi Tacos with a side of broccoli (5 stars) - these were juicy and delicious! My husband didn't appreciate the tortilla like I did. It was fluffy yet crispy and light in a healthy way. I loved it's the fish quantity was great as well. The side of broccoli was recommended by our waitress when we expressed interested and omg it was so good that even my toddler who hates veggies wanted it! 4.) Kid's Meal - Bow tie Mac and Cheese with a side of fruit (4 stars) - Our waitress even brought over a second plate for our two kids to share since the portion size was huge. Note that you have to pay extra if you want fries or any of the other sides with the kid's pasta dish only for some reason. We were checked in on and given helpful tips when ordering. Our waitress was fantastic and the music was full of salsa and island vibes. The crowd was family friendly and the decor and ambiance made it feel like we were on an island. Clearly, we don't get out much being parents to two small kids, but we had a really nice time here and recommend to other parents in similar situations!

My fiancé got the ribeye and that was cooked to his liking with good seasoning and very tender. The server was very nice, however very slow. Had to go up to her and flag her down multiple times throughout dinner and especially when we were trying to get the check. I had to keep reminding her because she would come then leave "to get it" but then went behind the bar and was talking to people. Then would come by and ask if we needed anything, and after the fourth time it was very annoying.
