My husband read the great reviews for Casa Blanca on YELP so we decided to stop in for dinner and drinks last Saturday night. It would have been easy to miss without GPS. It was clean and nicely decorated and the staff was friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the Salsa channel on the TV above the bar. It created a lively and fun vibe. I ordered the Casa Blanca house margarita and it was without a doubt the best margarita that I've ever had. I ordered a second margarita and it was just as delicious as the first. My husband ordered a mojito which was also incredibly good and the best either of us ever had. The star of the evening was the food, from the beautiful presentation to the amazing taste and flavor. As we were eating we were talking about who were going to bring back with us next time. Casa Blanca has become our new favorite go-to. We stopped in for dinner at 6pm on a Sunday- we were told the food may take a little but because it is all made fresh but it came out fast & every item was better than the last. Had lunch at this Columbian restaurant. The appetizer was plantain fried chips with a green chile sauce and this was excellent. The entrees were artfully presented. One dish was a tower of yellow rice, veggies and chicken with plantains. The second dish was a cast iron skillet with chicken, onions, a puffed rice cake, a small container with sauce. This second dish also included another dish with rice and a pasta salad. A lot of food. I am just wondering what took me so long to find this gem! I had the best meal and experience with my family yesterday. I am Colombian myself so of course I had high expectations! Server was knowledgeable and attentive. Very small and cute decorated restaurant. Amazing Spanish music playing in the background. Menu is your typical Colombian meals plus more. We started off with Colombian micheladas (basically beer with a lot of lime juice and salt) but here they serve them in Margarita glasses with mango biche (green mangos) MY FAVORITE! For appetizers, they serve you mini fried arepas (Colombian corn breads) with a guiso sauce (tomatoes, chives sauce) For my entrée, I had the "Bistec Casa Blance" beef with rice,beans, and potatoes, yucca, plantains. This plate was HEAVEN! My brother had the fried tilapia.... an entire fish served on a wood board. Price is a little higher than average but very well worth it. Tried this for lunch this week and thoroughly enjoyed. Never had Colombian food before but was very impressed with the quality and quantity! I ordered a rice and chicken fried ball as an app. They were very big and filled with delicious flavors. Two types of sauces added more flavor. We got fried plantains and again the sauce was the star. The lunch special was a beef and vegetable soup and it came with two big meatballs rice a slaw and plantain. Lots of food for a lunch special.
