I had a truely great experience buying a Bulldrog Spa from A-1. From the sales ladies (Katherine &…read moreJennifer) who were very professional and informative to the installers Cory,Brad,Turner and Jeremy who delivered the spa through a narrow passage way. And to Jose who knew everything about how to dial in the water perfectly. After getting the heat up I found that there was a leak! I called the next day and their service department sent Jeremy out who found a bad pump. He tried to replace an impeller but didn't have the right part, so he went back to the shop and took a pump out of a new spa in their inventory. He spent most of the day replacing the pump in sweltering heat and got my new spa running perfectly. I was amazed that I didn't have to wait 2 weeks for a new pump. Great company to do business with!

I had to purchase a pump for my pool. I went in and had Jenny go over options. When I had…read morequestions that she was uncertain to actual answers, right there she called their tech support Zach (Zac?) for answers. I had a great conversation with him. He answered my questions and gave me great suggestions. So, I purchased a pump from A1 pools. Now, to add to the story, where I had to place the pump was a farther away than the cord could reach. Zach gave me suggestions on what to do. I took the casing off and discovered that the pump had broken parts from the factory (the box it came in was in perfect shape). I brought the pump back to the store, they looked at it, and without ANY questions, they replaced it with a different one in stock. This was perfect, AND the pump WAS perfectly suited for my pool. Thanks to everyone at the A-1 Pools in West Bend.

My review of Lake Geneva Pool and Spas has spun to ground zero 3 years later on a 3 year old pool…read more This pool was not set true and level to begin with with and is noticeable when full of water. There is definitely a catastrophic failure that is likely caused by a very poor install and winterizing of the pool. It appears there is settlement around the pool due to improper installation and compaction of the surrounding soils. I went to open this pool this year and noticed it drained down. That is not a good sign. Of course they came to air test, seen it failed and left. As it was put it is not Lake Geneva Pools Problem anymore and left. First observation is skimmer box is busted up. Improper winterization and ice damage. That is a major repair if the epoxy coating does not work to seal up the box. That is all I can try. Second observation is the return lines to the pool. Cannot get air pressure on the system. There is either a poor winterization of the lines or major settlement snapped the lines. Time will tell once a leak detection service can get in and do their testing and maybe send a fiber optic camera thru it. Third is the water heater. Leaks out the bottom every year. Always needing some sort of attention. This should not be. Forth are the laminar jets. They just do not operate like they should with the lighting. Never have since the beginning. It is sad for the price they charge for these. One laminar jet and area surrounding it sunk a lot. Fifth is bubbler jets. One jet si surrounded with sand and sediment. This is troubling as we do not know where that is coming from. If those failed that shallow deck is poured with concrete under the fiberglass. Basically the pool becomes a total loss as there is no safe way to repair those. This is disappointing to say the least that a pool install has this many issues. My aunt's pool is 45 years old and still working fine. This repair will be costly to say the least. This is gut wrenching because I have to fill the pool and hope the two bubbler jets will heat it and not cause a drain down. Pool must hit the 80 degrees for leak detection services to work in it. A lot of sleepless nights now.

I signed the contract, sent a check for almost $4,000 as well as 3 liner choices on 5/12. I received an email that my pool would be opened the week of the 24th and the tech would be measuring the liner at that time to order the new one. I reached out to find out if I was able to find the exact date as I did not want to leave my gate unlocked for a week and I was told they would notify me a day prior to their arrival. Thursday the 27th late afternoon I reached out as I had not heard back and received an email the morning of the 28th stating that due to staff shortages and weather (weather had not been bad) they were behind but were hoping for Friday or Saturday. I expressed my concern was more about getting the liner measured and ordered and they assured me it would be measured at time of opening and they would be there that day. The tech did in fact show up and was very pleasant but advised me that he was unable to measure due to the pool not being clear. I would think when they scheduled this, they should be aware that pools are not clean at opening after being closed all winter. In years past, when I've had my pool opened, the tech brushes down the liner and hot tub, chlorine is in the tube, the skimmer is set correctly, the overflow spa is correctly operating. None of these things occurred on top of the liner not being measured. I reached out on June 1st with my concerns and was told the pool needs to be clear to measure. Although that is all logical to me, why was it not scheduled differently as they should know this if they are in the pool business. I was advised to send pictures and they would get me scheduled. I immediately sent photos and requested to be scheduled asap to get the liner ordered as it is a month wait for the liner and materials are what they are. I expressed I was concerned about the install due to the misinformation up to this point and have yet to hear back. I emailed them in the morning 6/4/21 requesting to just have my money refunded minus the pool opening since they could not have the courtesy to respond to my concerns or schedule the lining measurement, still no response. It appears once they have your money, they do not feel the need to do much beyond the minimal. I can understand if they are short staffed or busy but how hard is it to reply to an email? If I received an email, even if late in the evening I could respect that but nothing. Unfortunate that a company doesn't care about their customers. I will be contacting my attorney to get my money back and work with a company that values their customers. Very frustrated to say the least.
