Service is slow and rude. Smoothies and food are good but not worth dealing with how long it takes to get them.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a great lunch spot. I feel the food tastes fresh, and although they are always busy, the food comes out quickly. Today I chose the Baja chicken wrap which comes with chips or for a little extra, a premium side. It was filled with chicken, rice, beans, tomato, avocado, and pickled red onion. I felt all the flavors were very well balanced I've had each of the wraps (always generously stuffed) and liked them all, but my go-to is the buffalo chicken. A perfect blend of chicken, buffalo sauce and ranch with lettuce and cheese- a little spice and cooling ranch!! Today I added a smoothie to make it a combo for a good discount. I chose the Detox Island Green with spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana & fresh ginger. I'm not a fan of sweet, so this was perfect since there's no additional added sugar. But with any of the smoothies, I was told you could actually cut the sugar in half, delete it all together or make it with Splenda. I can always count on this place for a satisfying lunch. read more

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I thought it was merely a smoothie cafe, but they serve a wide variety of healthy food alongside smoothies. I ordered the chia oatmeal bowl, which was fresh and tasty! They were very busy with customers in the drive through, and several pick up orders. I ordered the hummus veggie wrap at tropical smoothie. It had hummus, avocado, rice, black beans, pickled red onions and ranch. I hardly ever order something without meat, so I wasn't sure I was going to like it. However, it was very delicious, and all the different ingredients blend in together where you don't notice there is no meat. The staff was very nice and accommodating to the vegetables that I did not want included and make sure it was made correctly. The inside was very clean and had plenty of tables to sit at. If I could give 0 stars I would. I highly recommend you find a different location to go to! Please do not waste your time or money at the 1350 Inverness Corners, Birmingham, AL 35242 location ! It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review. I understand this is peoples livelihood but I've never been treated so disrespectfully in my life! Especially by someone I'm spending my money with. The owner and several staff members were extremely rude! To make matters worse, my food tasted terrible! The owner and manager spoke in an aggressive and condescending tone. The owner aggressively tossed me my food. I will never do business with them again. I've warned everyone I know and I've reported them to corporate! I came here to leave my review and wasn't surprised when I saw others comments on how rude the staff is. Evidently this is common behavior for this business which is a shame because I used to be a regular customer years ago and never had an issue. Absolutely the worst customer service experience! I have been a patron for years here - but no more. I checked their hours online and went to buy dinner and a smoothie. Upon arrival I entered the drive thru and after a couple minutes the light on the sign went out. It was obvious they were closing. On their sign it said drive thru hours which were different than their website. Regardless I arrived before they closed or turned off their sign. The finished serving the car in front of me but didn't even acknowledge me. They didn't even come on the intercom to say we are closing and that their hours had changed. They were incredibly rude. Oh and by the way they were still serving online orders. I would strongly discourage anyone from giving business to this particular location. I truly hope they read this review and make some adjustments in their service and more importantly their customer service. read more

1350 Inverness Cors, Birmingham, AL 35242 Made me get out of my car and walk all the way into the restaurant just to pick up a smoothie... that was right by the drive thru window... they let me do pickup order thru drive thru yesterday, so idk what the problem is today? Complete waste of my time, and very inconvenient for the customer. This place needs to get their act together. This spot has the BEST smoothies. I gave 4/5 stars because of how long the drive through takes and it's efficiency. It basically took my whole lunch break and I should have just went inside. I think the owners could staff the drive through better for the lunch rush, but other than that the food is great! Update- ended up waiting 30+ minutes in the drive through. Everyone is obviously frustrated both customers and employees. People drove out of the que without food. Gave 2/5 stars because of this. read more

I ordered a jetty punch online and when I got it I couldn't taste any of the fruit and it was all watery and melted.

They should change their posted hours to 8pm. They close everyday when it gets close to 8pm and get annoyed at customers who try to come near 8 even though it says they close at "9pm" happens everyday of the week won't allow orders at that time. We were in the area for a tux fitting for my husband and ran across this place. The store constantly had people coming in and going through the drive through so we figured that was a good sign. Very neat, food was delicious and smoothies were even better. Would definitely eat here again. I gave 4 stars as it was very hot and uncomfortable inside. It's the beginning of June and 90 degrees outside. I'm not sure if the A/C was currently inoperable at the time or if they just kept it on a higher temp. read more

I love Tropical Smoothie. I always order a Thai chicken salad and an island green detox smoothie. It's a great meal and not a bad deal at all when you order food and can add a smoothie for $3.50. So I can get a full meal for $10. At least I know that I'm getting wholesome food and a smoothie that isn't full of sugar and frozen yogurt filler. Hard to imagine anyone trying LESS to sell their product. The menu has fallen from the drive thru so I pulled to the window for a paper menu much to the annoyance of the girl working the window. I ordered chips with my meal. She said which one there's lots and stood and stared. I said Doritos? She said they didn't have Doritos. How should I know what they have if it isn't listed and she's not telling me? She took my payment and I pulled forward.
