Customer service needs to be so much better. It's approximately 6:45pm on a Friday and I enter the store. The store is empty and the young lady working the counter doesn't speak or even acknowledge someone entered. I wait a moment for someone to address me at the counter. Nothing happens, although the young girl is standing opposite of the register. I then proceed to have a seat at the counter and clear my throat. Then this little girl decides to turn around facing me while rolling her eyes. I so badly wanted to say something but instead I declined to spend my money there. Yay! I'm happy to give 5 stars for my visit to Tropical Smoothie Cafe today! The drive-thru lane was pretty full so I was prepared for a long wait; but they moved through the lane pretty quickly. I ordered 2 smoothies a sandwich wrap and a quesadilla. When I arrived at the window I was greeted right away, used the new app (which is awful, but that's not their fault), paid and she handed me my two smoothies, clearly marked and said the food would be right up. She handed me my food pretty quickly. All of the workers were masked and seemed to be enjoying their work. The smoothies were excellent as was the food. read more

Super friendly and clean! Super quick and very patient when I have big orders! (I have a pretty big family!) they're drinks never taste watered down like any other Ed tropical smoothie place I go to. Definitely my favorite Update: my smoothie was great until it had something hard in it and almost broke my tooth. I figured since there was dates in the smoothie it could've been the seed that was accidentally left behind! It happens. They don't know how to fully blend your smoothie that's literally all they had to do was make sure they blended up all the ice. Instead I get a half blended pomegranate plunge w a bunch of ice chunks in it I couldn't even use the straw to drink it due to size of the ice chunks! NOT HAPPY WITH THIS LOCATION. read more

I have been going to Tropical Smoothie Cafe since 2015 and they finally opened one by my house! First time I go there they gave me the most watered down smoothie ever! Legit probably did not put fruits in it. Second time I go I order an mango magic, and get a random smoothie that was purple (they gave me the wrong smoothie) and it still tasted like water. Today, my third AND LAST time going there I finally got my mango magic, but as I was drinking it I sucked up plastic, and foil and instantly spit it out. There should be no reason my smoothie has plastic in it, or even foil... They need to train their employees accordingly, and teach them how to make a smoothie without cheeping out on ingredients. Also stop letting high schoolers run their cafe. read more

We had issues with the online ordering system, so Alicia at this Tropical Smoothie in Dearborn Heights on Ford Road was so so helpful. She input the order herself and communicated with me via phone and email to ensure the details were correct and confirmed the order several times so we were all on the same page and knew our delivery would arrive for our big event. Alicia herself brought the order and our staff immensely enjoyed the 12 oz smoothies in several varieties. We did the bundle catering package and loved the value and delicious products! I order through the app all the time and my order is always accurate and ready on time at this location. The staff are friendly and greet you when you arrive, unlike other locations where the staff act bothered that you're there. I usually love trop but I picked up two smoothies and two food items tonight and only one item was even worth the calories. The flatbread was cold, soaked in ranch and had very little meat on it. The "blt" quesadilla was the worst I've ever had... Soggy and cold and again hardly any meat AND not melted together so it all fell apart. Really really disappointed with this showing and even more disappointed with my chunky chia banana smoothie with no peanut butter and dates still whole. Won't be returning. read more

I love tropical smoothie and I consider myself a smoothie connoisseur! I have visited multiple locations and even this location a time or two. I ordered a sunrise sunset which was disgusting---It tasted like there was no sugar added and it lacked flavor it was very bland. My husband had an Açaí berry boost which he substituted a couple of fruits and his tasted delicious! Needless to say I was disappointed, and I will ask for extra sugar next time. read more

I order from TSC pretty regularly through my app and was first shocked to see that the prices at this location were more than a dollar higher than my usual locations. I ordered a breakfast wrap and it was literally half the size! For the price increase, shouldn't this have been bigger?! I order the new seasonal drink that's supposed to come with a lime straw, but no straw was in the bag, not even a regular straw. I will never go to this location again. I personally love tropical smoothie, im always getting one of their smoothies with protein post workout, but this tropical has to be one of the worst that i have been to, it is very nice on the inside, and the workers seem to be genuine nice people, but nothing annoys me more than getting a smoothie thats dripping all over, they disregard the fact that im getting into my car and would like the smoothie not to spew all over me, i have not had this problem with other tropical locations, but after trying this place out three times so far, every single time the cup was dirty, and no im Not being extra at all, but when i pay $7 for a drink, i expect it to be served in a clean manor, i hate to have to wipe it down my self every-time as it is time consuming and if i didnt care about my time id be making smoothies for free at home. read more

The smoothies are delicious. It's a great new location and the place is very nice and clean. My only complaint was the "hummus veggie bowl". It looked nothing like the photo and it was absolutely terrible and inedible. It basically went in the trash after we saw what it looked like.
