Tried twice and failed twice. First time we went it took 30 minutes and the smoothies had to flavor. My husband ordered a peanut protein and his was purple with no flavor. One month later ordered chicken wrap and kale apple slaw. Received flatbread chicken and lettuce no slaw. Asked for my slaw and it was brought and had to ask for a fork. Still no smoothie. When it came it was missing a straw. And the flavor was like medicine. Yuck. I had to use the bathroom, woman's was being working on by a plumber. I was told to use the men's bathroom and then found out there was no toilet paper (to late). I will continue to drive 30 minutes to the Tropical Cafe on south May. read more

This place has great smoothies, but this specific location will have you waiting for a smoothie for at least 30 minutes! It's very slow, which I understand it is fresh, but just expect to wait longer than expected. I thought it was just slow the first time going there, but I've been back twice and it has always been slow. I'm so glad we tried this place! My friend told me that their veggie hummus wrap was super delicious so after my 5 mile bike ride today I was craving something healthy and filling. I got the green lemonade and my friend got the cherry lemonade. They were both delicious and refreshing and not too sweet at all which was really nice. We got the same veggie hummus wrap and devoured them. They were fresh, perfectly warmed and the wrap/tortilla itself was soft and flaky and just perfect. I can't say the word fresh enough! I can't wait to try everything else. Seems like they'd have a lot of vegetarian options if you ask for no meat, and it would still be delicious. So if you're like me and don't eat meat then this is the place for you. Try it, you won't regret it. The girls were friendly and welcomed you as soon as you walked in. This is the worst tropical smoothie location I have ever been to. I love tropical smoothie and have been to this location several times and every time they have failed. The last 3 times I have been they got my order wrong in some way, not to mention it took ages to get my order. Its a shame this place is not ran like the other locations I have been to. read more

We tried to walk in and order a smoothie, then proceeded to get yelled at to "leave and not come in" Without an explanation by multiple employees. As this is one of me and my boyfriend's favorite go-to smoothie places, the past couple times has been nothing short of disappointing. We have had to wait no shorter than 10-15 minutes each time (at the drive-thru!), the employees seem extremely unhelpful, and it's not like they're busy- which I would understand. Smoothies are good and consistent. The service is not. Sometimes I wait at the drive throw order box for 10 seconds, sometimes 5 minutes, before ordering. When dining in the staff doesn't make eye contact with you for a while when you get to the register. Which is not a big deal but just gives you an unfriendly feeling when you are there. I've been waiting in the drive through line for about 40 minutes now. Just by looking at the reviews a lot of reviews are based around how long the wait time is. It also looks like management has noticed this but unfortunately nothing has been done to correct this issue. This will probably be the last time I come here. I love tropical smoothie cafe. They have a ton of great options. However, the one of Danforth and Santa Fe in Edmond needs to learn a few things about customer service. It's clear they are under staffed but they need to be able to communicate why they can't help you. I stood in line for probably 15 minutes without them even acknowledging I was there. Finally, they had the drive-through girl come take my order but she just sat there and didn't even ask me if I'd been helped. I finally place my order and go to wait. Meanwhile, the couple behind me still had not been helped or even communicated to. They walked out as I was grabbing my smoothie. The online orders and drive through orders have taken priority over actual people coming in. I understand being busy but at least have the respect to tell us you will help us as soon as you can. I usually don't go out of my way to write bad posts, but I can't believe how rude they were. Management- might be time to have some serious attitude and respect meetings or get some new help. I like the food here but the service is terrible. It is always kids working that don't care about customer service so they talk to their friends instead of making orders. I put in an online order and showed up when it said it would be ready and when I walked in, everyone was standing around talking. I walked to the cash register and the employees continued talking to each other instead of helping me. When they finally noticed me, they hadn't even seen the online order and started making it then. I've never been unhappy with any type of service. I waiting at the drive threw speaker for 11 minutes and still didn't talk to anyone. So I pull threw to the window and they ignored everyone in line. So I went in thinking maybe the speaker is broken. But first of all they weren't busy at all. Second they lady that helped us was so rude. I had the worst service I've ever had here. I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to finally take my order. When the lady took my order I was very sad to hear that I could not do a custom order. Not only could I not make a custom order, but they didn't have raspberries. What kind of smoothie place doesn't have raspberries? I decided to try and make the best of it, so I ordered a blueberry bliss without bananas, since I'm allergic to them. When I received my order I noticed on the side of the cup that it did not say no bananas. I was kind of scared since bananas cause me to struggle to breath, so I had my brother try it. It indeed had bananas in it. I asked them to make me a new one and the were kind enough to make a new one. I was just very disappointed with the service and the options they had. Definitely would recommend. The environment is very upbeat and a modern feel. The staff is always nice and helpful. They try their best to help you build your own smoothie if you like. All the food is made fresh to order, and the wraps are a good size, you're getting your $$ worth. I like that they have healthy options when everything else around is fried and greasy .
