Not the best location, very mediocre. I only stopped here because I was in the area and have the app. My smoothie had absolutely no flavor just tasted like crushed ice. I always get the chipotle club, double toasted. The associate said that wasn't an option and all they do is warm up the sandwich because the grill makes are already on the flat bread. This location is family owned. It opens @7 AM but does not offer the happy hour smoothie special due to it being family owned. Bummer. I believe they still offer military discount though. The owner/manager was nice but also very blunt. She asked me twice if I was sure I wanted Splenda in my smoothie and then told me about it being bad for my health and body, also inquired about the happy hour special and she was very adamant on how they lose so much money from it as a family owner business. Don't want a call. Don't want anything. Ok. Maybe these owners need to be replaced. Asked for Smoothie to be made without strawberries and to please be sure about double sanitizing. Severe strawberry allergy. Asked and told it was. Sweet kids there looked scared of owners. So they said it was. It was the allergic reaction for me. The drive home with my throat closing and the bruise on my leg due to having to use a rescue pen. Called twice. Owner sent message saying I needed to be more clear and they would remake. Would not get on the phone. The rest of the story is so egregious, I can't even get myself to toe it here. Posted on social media to warn other families facing allergies like this, and got wrath. District manager offered me a 50$ gift card. Refused. Went all the way to the top. After a great conversation, and thankful I was heard, was emailed about getting another 50$ gift card. The truly sad part is the amount of families that have reached out to me sharing their stories with me. No training. No allergy training. Owners always fighting. Ride to customers. Making fun of customers when they leave. Kids getting in trouble for mistakes. I thought long and hard about this review. Believe me, I could share so much more. But why. Who cares? They don't. Here is the plastic wrap that was in one of the other smoothies we got that day. We called about that, and still the owner would not get on the phone. Parents be careful. We will not be ordering from this location ever again. My wife ordered a salad and smoothie combo and at the bottom of the salad was a solid frozen egg. The two individuals that were on staff in the kitchen were Javon and Jacob. When we called, the cashier freely admitted to us that it likely was a prank because they've had complaints and they have a lot of immature people who work there. I always see this place and I've never tried it . Well today I was next-door for an appointment and I hadn't eaten breakfast yet so I thought hmm smoothie? The girls were patient while I took a few minutes to look over the menu. I saw that they had the amount of protein posted on the menu. However, they didn't have the carbs listed on the menu. So I asked them about it and they handed me a sheet which is on display. I chose the smoothie with the least carbs available which was 38 carbs for the small chocolate chimp. I believe 190 calories. I half expected it to taste blech but I really enjoy it, it tastes just like a choc/banana smoothie. Chocolate Chimp has bananas and chocolate and protein powder and I added Chia seeds for a dollar and my bill came out to $7.48. Smoothie success ! read more

I gave them a review two years ago when they messed up our order and gave them three stars. Happened again today AND I can't even reach them so hence the two stars. They messed up our order - gave us someone else's smoothie because we have the same first name, and gave us a wrap instead of the bowl we ordered. Ordered Thai chicken and paid $3 extra for fake meat and I don't have any idea what this is but can't tell if it has meat or not (I don't eat meat) and it's not Thai chicken, which I've had many times. Tried to call to get the order fixed (meanwhile it's getting cold) and was immediately put on hold. I waited FIVE MINUTES before giving up and hanging up. Upon entering at around 11:45 on a Sunday, I was the only customer in the clean, well lit restaurant. I ordered a baja flatbread and a coke. This isn't my "home" store, so I was curious to experience a different location. It seems that all Tropical Smoothie Cafes are switching from fountain machines to bottled sodas ($1.65 at this location). After ordering, I had to go to the restroom (very clean). After coming back, I noticed a steady stream of customers coming through. People who ordered were receiving their food quite fast. I waited patiently at the booth closest to the cashier, and after a few minutes, the manager asked me if I was still waiting for my food. I nodded yes, and she expressed that I was still in the restroom when they called my name. She asked if I was eating here, and I said that I was. I told her that no one asked me if it was for here or to go. She apologized and plated my flatbread. The flatbread itself was flavorful, but had almost too much sauce on it compared to what I'm used to at my neighborhood store. After eating at my home store, an employee always comes to pick up our baskets. This wasn't the case here. The trash and basket deposit is located next to the front door. I came to the cashier with basket and drink in hand and asked if his manager was around. He said that they were in the back. He then went back to looking at his register screen. I then asked him if he could get his manager. When he did, I left the manager the tip. I felt it was coldly received, however, the manager readily volunteered to take my basket for me (a nice gesture). read more

This place is awesome!!! Serving fresh and healthy is an extra plus in my book. The employees here are so nice and wonderful. I first tried the Pesto Chicken flatbread and it was very delicious. My second sandwich to try was the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Very delicious and for me, not too spicy, just perfect. I have also tried the Baja Chicken, very delicious too. For the smoothies, I'm not too big on smoothies but hubby kept telling me to get the Avovolada smoothie. I did not like it probably because I drink alot of water. So he enjoyed it for me. Not to take from the smoothies, they have all flavors I could have tried but I just enjoy my water too much. If you want a fresh meal, eat better and feel better at Tropical Smoothie. read more

I was told my order was big and I needed to call ahead the next time because I was there yesterday with the same order. I have two prime locations I go to close to by my house almost daily. Today I was in Fleming Island for a meeting and was in the mood so I googled the closet Tropical Smoothie and this location came up. I ordered a smoothie and a cheese quesadilla. Paid and waited. My name was called and I was handed a smoothie and told to have a good day. I said that I had ordered a cheese quesadilla and asked if it would be ready soon. The girl said, " oh you did say that didn't you, I forgot to ring it in - I'll get it in now". She went to the register and rang it in as I went to sit down and wait thinking in my head, "This isn't my problem she forgot to ring it in" and that they weren't going to charge me for their mistake. NOPE she had no hesitation to tell me my new total. I didn't say anything and just paid. She then asked me if it was for here or to go. I said to go please. Go sit down and wait and a different employee brings out my food in one of the dine in baskets ‍ I politely reminded him it was for take out and he was nice and said I'm sorry and packaged it up for me. Okay okay so far not anything SUPER crazy. I'm handed my to go food and I go out to my car and head to my meeting. I open up my to go order about 10 mins later and bite into a CHICKEN quesadilla ‍‍‍ Its just annoying to try to get people to not only provide customer service that is correct but is also compassionate. I don't feel I should have paid for her mistake and then on top of it I was given something I won't eat because it has meat on it. Okay by now you're thinking "this girl is annoying and crazy just eat the quesadilla". I'm trying to cut meat from my diet and when I do eat meat it wouldn't be processed meat from tropical smoothie. Now don't judge me the next time you see me with tropical smoothie in my hand - because it will happen again - I love them! It just won't be from this location. I love how in addition to many smoothies, the chain offers various healthy dining options like wraps and salads. This location is relatively new. This place is amazing. What have I been missing ?! I'm not sure of these reviews but the service is impeccable! They have a great seating arrangement and the cashier was super sweet ! What really floored me is we asked if we could get protein in my daughters smoothies cause she never eats all of her food. Well I think they put a little too much in and this nice gentleman with a beard that brought us our food before , without question said he'll bring us a new one with I wasn't sure , less protein or none. But I thought that was amazing. I also forgot my water cup well the cashier did and he immediately offered to let me get a bottle instead. They really care about their customers which is so hard to find these days. I go out of my way to show how grateful as a customer I was. The food was amazing. The food and smoothies are great (though I will say I preferred their menu way back when they had a location on the other side of 220 near Home Depot). The parking lot can be a lot of work which means I visit less frequently than I might if they had a different location. The staff has always been friendly but, in my experience, this isn't a quick place you can run in and out of (which is usually what I'm looking for). Between parking and waiting for your food, things move a bit slow. They also have breakfast, which is good to know. If you're in the parking lot for whatever reason, it's a great option. read more
