I went to this Tropical Smoothie Cafe off 6 Mile Cypress Pkwy in Fort Myers. I really like this Tropical Smoothie Cafe's great location because it was conveniently located right around the corner from Crunch Fitness, where I go to workout. I ordered their Peanut Paradise with blueberry and sub splenda and also added whey protein since I had just gotten done working out. My wife, son, and I came here for a quick dinner that was fresh and light. When we arrived, there was almost no one in the restaurant, but the drive through was about 5 cars deep. The place was clean, but unfortunately there was no music playing, so it was eerily quiet. My wife got the Baja Chicken Bowl (Rice, black beans, smashed avocado, romaine, pickled red onion, cheddar, and roasted tomato salsa), an Island Green smoothie (spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, and banana), and an orange. She was very happy with her choice. I got the Chicken Apple Club (Bacon, kale and apple slaw, a smoked cheese blend, and honey dijon) and chips. It was good, but it really wasn't what I was in the mood for. If I had to do it over, I think I would have gotten the Baja Chicken wrap (I usually enjoy spicier dishes). We got my son the kids meal with a cheese quesadilla, apple, and Jetty Junior smoothie (strawberries and banana). I was driving back to Tampa after spending several days in the Ft Myers area and I was stopped at a traffic light , happen to see the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Mascot strutting his/her stuff at the intersection and I figured I would give it a whirl. I love smoothies and I am so glad my eyes noticed the lil fellow. My first time at the TSC and I wish I tried it sooner. Lots of healthy or at least healthier choices that the usual culprits lined up on most major roads. I came in for a smoothie to keep me awake and feeling good on my 2 hr trek back home. Ordered the Health Nut Smoothie which consisted of Blueberries, Mango, Banana, Almonds & Whey or Soy Protein. I can never get them to blend so perfectly together, my carrots always have a strange texture- The C Burst I had was perfect! (Carrots, oranges, mangos, bananas, and GOJI! I'm giving this place a 2 out of 5 for sanitation reasons. The three of us ordered 3 tacos each on 3/25/15 in the evening. Our tacos was served on top of a paper liner in a reused plastic basket. However the liner was not fully covering the basket as it was folded, so all our tacos were leaning against these unsanitary baskets! I posted a photo so everyone is aware. The food does taste great, but management needs to get on top of their employees about sanitation issues. Also, baskets full of food were stacked on top of the garbage, rather than thrown out or organized. The trash was not full, as I was able to throw mine away. Obviously, this is a customer issue with people not being kind enough to throw away their own trash, but employees shouldn't let trash stay this way for others to see. read more

Kids and I were doing some last minute Christmas shopping & decided to stop at the cafe for a quick bite. Approaching the door I realized they were closing up for the afternoon. As I get back to my truck the owner/manager meets me outside and tells me the he will open up for my family and I. He stated that he came in at 11 to give his employees bonuses and they were so busy that he stayed there to help out all afternoon. I passed on his offer to stay open for us so he and his staff could enjoy the holidays with their family; however I will certainly frequent this place often!!
