I truly don't understand the 2-star rating for this location. I've been to many Tropical Smoothie Cafés, and this one is by far the cleanest, with the best customer service and the most delicious smoothie I've had. The place was absolutely spotless. The girl who made my smoothie nailed it, and the cashier was so kind and polite. You can tell they work really well together the vibe was great. Delicious smoothie, amazing service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This is officially my favorite location. 10/10 read more

Love Tropical Smoothie, however, this location clearly watered down the smoothie (even the employee confirmed it). My flatbread was great! The wrap had nothing but vegetables....no chicken. Don't know what changed, mgmt, employees or etc. but the past 2 months there was been a decline in the smoothies (watered down). What on earth, so I get an açaí bowl. An açaí bowl is supposed to be more solid than that liquid soup stuff I received. I had to drink my açaí bowl. How do you run out of one of the ingredients and then make a customer wait without telling them what's happening. Absolutely ridiculous, I had to wait 20 minutes without any input then find out they forgot who I am and then told me they don't have one of the ingredients. Then the person goes to the back and all I hear is chatting. I know it was late but they shouldn't be chatting when there is a customer who has been waiting 20 minutes for just 1 item. Horrible experience. I ordered my food at 1:14,'promised to receive at 1:27. Yes it was busy. I would have even given them until 1:45. I asked for a refund at 2:04. The teen staff, left alone without the ability to do a refund were completely overwhelmed. Absolutely unacceptable. I'm in the area for business a lot and I generally like Tropical Smoothie Cafe so I was surprised to see the bad reviews for this one. I decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to find a short line at the height of lunch hour (12:30pm) the server was polite and friendly and was able to answer my questions about ingredients being gluten free and lactose free with no problem. My Health Nut smoothie with vegan pea based protein came out quickly and tasted great. The location is clean and well lit and there's sufficient seating if you care to eat in. Food & smoothies are way overpriced, underwhelming, & owners are incredibly rude. I saw a teen female employee get sexually harassed by an older man at the counter, right IN FRONT OF THE MANAGER, & he did NOTHING! I asked the other girls that worked at the restaurant if the harrassment was normal- the answer was that it was a regular occurence! Men come in to the establishment & make sexual remarks to the girls, in front of the owners, without any consequences! Makes me wonder if something shady is going on. The owner & his manager son only hire teen girls (according to the employed girls there) & are frequently & regularly harrassed/abused mentally & emotionally by the owner & manager. This location makes the BEST Chia Banana Boost Smoothies! Yesterday I was craving one and I past several locations, because I knew I would be in this area today. You can taste the banana (real bananas) and the PB (strawberry is also an option). I stopped here because Starbucks discontinued their smoothies so I gave this place a try. The smoothie was good and they had a good selection of stuff, but the girl at the front was not inviting. She smiled and looked nice, but as I watched her take a couples order, I could see her giving them the evil eye because they were "taking too long". As soon as I got into my car, she must have finished her shift because she zoomed past me. The guy who brought my smoothie out to me was nice though. There are a good 10+ smoothie flavors to choose from that all sounded delicious. Wait, unless it had coconut. That would be gross. -Helpful staff! 7:00am + Choices= Panic attack for this indecisive gemini! I was able to list what fruits I was in the mood for, and what my needs were (weight loss, protein, energy, etc...) and she recommended something right up. And boy was it tasty! -Price is right! I believe I paid just under $5 for a LARGE smoothie! *Cons* -Wasn't really hip in terms of decor, but I was in and out anyways. -Took forever and a day for the credit card machine to "warm up," and read my card. I truly dislike coming to to a place that has an uneducated, uninterested staff. I came here today to get two breakfast smoothies. This used to be my absolute FAVORITE place when they first opened up, I literally came almost everyday. But what stopped me from coming the first time was the way the business was ran, and the incompetency of the employees , was ultimately my reason for writing this post today. After literally a year of not coming to one of the very few places in my neighborhood as a vegan, that offers vegan meat options as well as tons of things that are good for you, I decided on my way to starbucks today I would get a smoothie instead. I ordered the avocalada (avocados, coconut, etc.) The etc. Is what bothered me . When u go to a place and order a smoothie whom has the ingredients listed plainly u expect for that to be just it, the ingredients. When I got the smoothie I knew instantly there was added sugar ! Me being skeptical of certain sugars because it has been proven and is listed on certain popular brands sites such as (Domino) that certain companies use a method called bone char (Which is a process of filtering sugar with animal bones). I was told by the young lady that there was raw cane sugar added . Which meant it was ok. But still not at all what the menu said or What I was ordering . The same way we can choose our added proteins and added fruits and espresso. We should be able to add our sweetner. I am a firm believer in a fruit smoothie NOT needing any sugar, I understand that others feel differently but I like to know what is in my food! I asked (what I assumed to be the supervisor) on duty if the peanut butter had dairy in it (yes. Certain peanut butter companies add milk or whey protein to make for creamier butter), and the young lady proceeded to say she didn't know and bought me out the entire tub of peanut butter for me to read it my self. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE . I just woke up, I am hungover (besides the point) I'll be dammed if if I wanna order what I consider to be fast food and have to read the ingredients to ensure its safe for me and my family ! For that I could have made one At home with my ingredients whom I know aren't cross contaminated. Initially when I asked the same young lady if the avocalada had dairy in it, she proceeded to say " it has coconut milk in it, is that dairy "? Now I understand everyone does not lead the same lifestyle, eat the same things, etc.. But me being a health instructor / personal trainer as well as a person who has managed over 6 restraunts and opened over 150 worldwide, hate coming to a place that caters to vegan, vegetarian, and carnivores, only to not understand the difference in the food! Tropical smoothie does not have a good training system, I don't want to read my ingredients (she could have read them her damn self) and I definitely don't wana go to a place and order a smoothie and you don't know the difference between non dairy milk and the milk that will cause my throat to close ! If I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich on flatbread but said sub beyond meat (vegan chicken) would she have mistaken the real for the substitute because they both "look the same" or lack of knowledge? I live 5 minutes away from this tropical smoothie and I love tropical smoothie and tend to get it A LOT like at least once a week or every two weeks. I order through door dash and they always mess my order up or just do a half a** job making the food. For example giving me two end pieces of bread on my sandwich or only giving me one piece of tomato and it being the piece with the stem. They just don't try. I'm writing this review today cause I went there to get curbside pickup (really convenient for me cause I have a 8month old) and I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for my one smoothie that they had sitting in the fridge. I tried calling. Phone didn't work. If you want tropical smoothie just go to the one in Central Park. read more

Stopped by here on our way back from a trip. The hot weather called for a stop for a smoothie and since there wasn't a smoothie king around, this was the closest to the interstate. Ordered the Island Green which has spinach, kale, mango, pineapple & banana. Delicious and healthy!!! The spinach or kale is not overpowering because of the fruit. Had the right amount of sweetness. It came in a 24oz size for 4.99, it would have been a lot more at another smoothie store. Service was fine. The girl was nice and our drinks came out fast. It wasn't a busy location. read more

I love Tropical Smoothie but not this location. Since they moved a couple years ago from the Lowe's shopping center they have gone down hill. It's really sad because it is all about training the staff. Central Park has a much better staff and have never had issues but South point messes up my order every time. I am always completely satisfied with my visits to this Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The atmosphere and decor reminds me of my many trips to the Caribbean, and puts me in the mood for a healthy tropical meal - which the friendly staff is all too happy to provide. Want a place to eat outside on a nice day? Comfortable outdoor dining is available as well. I go here almost every day for a breakfast smoothie. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes me feel like they value my business. Amber, Grace, and Rachel are usually there to greet me with a smile. They are great at making recommendations, as their familiarity with the menu is impressive. I also like how Tropical Smoothie Cafe is involved with charity organizations and regularly have donation opportunities. I have ordered from both Tropical Smoothie locations in Fredericksburg, and I prefer the one in Central Park. I placed a to go order today at lunch time. I ordered a hummus bowl. When I got home there was no hummus and barely any rice mixture, just spinach and lettuce and no dressing. At the Central Park location I can hardly finish the bowl because they load up the rice mixture. If I am going to spend $7.19 for a hummus bowl, I think I will continue to drive to the Central Park location. read more

Customer service is TERRIBLE to say the least. I have had two negative experiences at this location, so much that we will NEVER return. Firstly, the workers have no type of etiquette. Once I arrived, I was being stared down by two female cashiers through their entrance doors as I walk out of my car. I received no type of greeting when I enter the store and when I indicated I was picking a mobile order, the cashier, Kyanna, gave no eye contact and rudely spoke, "it'll be ready." My mobile order was supposed to be ready by 6:32 pm, and by 6:45 pm, several walk-in customers had already received their orders before mine. Moreover, I had to approach one of the cashiers to inquire about my order. Her response: "oh." Clearly, these cashiers have no proper training and instead, treat the store as if it were their high school hangout. The icing on the top was that they got one of my orders wrong, in which I had to drive back to let them know. Did they care? Of course not. I've not had such horrible experiences as much as this location. I've contacted headquarters about my first experience, but clearly that got me no where. These workers have the worst attitudes, have no care for customer satisfaction and even when an order is spelled out in front of them (i.e., a mobile order), they manage to get it wrong and with no remorse.
