This location needs leadership that properly trains employees in customer service. There is absolutely no reason I should be standing at the counter for five minutes, waiting to order, without even being greeted. On top of that, the two employees in the front--one making a sandwich and the other making a drink--even looked over at me. Meanwhile, an employee in the back was talking to a friend or family member who arrived after I had already been waiting. DO BETTER! If I could give zero stars for the Central Park location in Fredericksburg va, I would. I ordered my food ahead of time for pickup. Got to the location roughly 10 minutes later and the line was out the door so naturally, I sat down and waited patiently because I knew it was probably going to take a bit longer. In the meantime, I placed another order for two smoothies only because I didn't want to stand in that line. Again, 100% expecting for it to take a bit since they were so busy. Fast forward almost 45 minutes later and the people in the line had came and went with their food and I still didn't have either order. Then the female employee gave my the food portion of my first order and told me she was making my smoothie right then, again, no problem.... After waiting another 10 or so minutes and seeing more people come and go with their food, I walked back to the counter to ask about both of my orders only to be told that she would make my smoothies ahead of the other people as if I had not been there for almost an hour at that point. I told her that she was clearly making other orders before ours and she just looked lost. 5ish minutes later and here she comes in my 2nd order, but still no smoothie from my 1st order. She told me that she didn't even see my first order on the screen but I was holding my half eaten flatbread in my hand so they clearly had my order. It turns out "someone" put my smoothie in the refrigerator and tried to say that she called my name and I didn't hear her but we were standing there the entire time and she had told me she was making it when she gave me my food. We finally get all of our smoothies only for the new Biscoff apple pie smoothies to have been made incorrectly and tasted terrible but I was so over the whole experience that we just left. This location lacks leadership and training. I won't be ordering from this location again. read more

I will NEVER go to the Central Park Tropical Smoothie AGAIN. I not only got my food thrown at me after it sitting for 20 minutes of it sitting there after I walked in and told them my name but those kids are rude as F*ck. Mr. Hasan if you still own/manage this one you might want to tell those girls to watch their damn attitude and learn how to treat people. SO SLOW! Ordered ahead for pickup. 20 minutes after pickup time, we still didn't have our complete order. Once we finally received our food, my pesto Flatbread was dripping with pesto and the outside was actually green. My son's chicken quesadilla was mostly cheese with two pieces of chicken. Even though the smoothies were made seconds before they were handed to us, they tasted like they'd been sitting for an hour - very watery. Will not return to this location. read more

My first time ever going or seeing this place! Definitely a great find if you are on the health conscience side; I had the detox island smooth and a jerk chicken wrap. The smoothie was perfect and way more than I expected for $5. ( there's only one size cup). The jerk chicken wrap didn't taste like jerk nonetheless it was good. It was a bit confusing figuring out the wait time. Being that it was my first time I wasn't sure how long it would or should have taken them. I believe it was about 10- 15 minutes for a smoothie and a wrap. I think that's a bit long especially if your on lunch. read more

My fave go to is the Chia Banana Boost and a Cali Chicken Flatbread after a 4m run or hefty workout. All fresh, healthy and tasty. Be sure to carry a couple bucks in cash for a tip. The Thai chicken wrap was tasty, with lots of fresh veggies, but wasn't something that jumped out at me as something that would call me back. I wish I would have had a smoothie as Yelpers and other people from work down here in Fredericksburg said they are great. Unfortunately I won't get back here again before I leave, but if I was here a bit longer I'd come back to give them a try. read more

5/14/2021 -very slow service and I ordered my smoothie with Splenda and am confident they lied. Same smoothie at a different location is not nearly as sweet. Have to say this location needs more training. Ordered a Thai chicken wrap and peanut smoothie; got the smoothie but no wrap. Waited ~30 min, spoke with cashier and the manager at the time said she gave me that wrap. ExplainedI didn't receive it, she got hostile trying to say she's certain she gave it to me. Let's see the video to prove this I said. She had no time for that...would take 1-2 days to review. I asked for a refund; she said it cannot be done; she took my contact information and would contact me what the video would show. We'll see if I actually get this response. None the less...received no wrap and no refund. Southpoint and 17 North locations are great, but the Central Park has a horrible employee culture, it appears, because almost every cashier I've had is so rude. There is also a general unprofessionalism amongst the employees (you can watch almost everything). I only repeat here occasionally because there isn't another close by. read more

My usual smoothie seemed to have more ice than anything in it this time. I always get the kids awesome orange with splenda. I literally had to microwave the smoothie when i got home to melt the ice some to be able to drink it. I'm not sure what went wrong, I'll still go back, I'm sure it was just an off day read more

I love this place but at $5 a smoothie, it's hard to not think they're a bit overpriced! The food is pretty good as well, much better than other smoothie places who try and do food. Love Tropical Smoothie also bummed that they got rid of their Mediterranean Veggie! Smoothies are tasty & they frequently has specials. My favorite smoothie was the Acai berry green tea which is no longer on the menu (it's a retired flavor now) but they will still make it if you ask. Sometimes they are slow, but great little cafe for healthy sandwiches and smoothies! Would love it if they offered more veggie options though. I also wish they stayed open a little later like the one off of 17 near Target that doesn't close till 10pm. read more

I had a Watermelon Mojito Smoothie, and a Chicken Bacon Ranch flatbread. Everything time I come here I try to get a different smoothie. This is the best Tropical Smoothie in Fredericksburg. I walk in to three people standing at the counter discussing their tips with no greeting. The floors are dirty and needs to be cleaned. While waiting for my food I question the order on the table but nobody seemed to know what it was. They proceed to keep chatting causing them to get distracted and drop the order on the floor causing for a longer wait. I love tropical smoothie but this particular location disappoints every time I have been in the past few years. Their smoothies come out too watery or too icy and the flavor is weak. Today it was too icy, like the consistency of an icee- can't finish the last 1/2 because the ice makes it so thick it won't come up the straw. The last time I went it was so watery and disgusting I threw it away! Couldn't tell them because I'd already left and had to get to work. Every time I go I tell myself never again... I've always shopped at this tropical smoothie and often times I order smoothies via door dash for my employees and always thought they where good just always slow. However yesterday I stopped by a tropical smoothie in Richmond VA and got the same thing I get from the Fredericksburg location. WOW WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING TROPICAL SMOOTHIE IS AMAZING AND OVER THE TOP DELICIOUS. There where also 7 of us that swung by and each got a smoothie and meal with it. We where all gone with our food within 10 minutes. I mean the Richmond location puts this Fredericksburg location to shame. So to test this establishment I decided to place a pickup order through door dash and stop on it to grab my smoothies. Well what an absolute bust that was I got two Bahama Mamas and one Kiwi Quencher. Well after arriving and waiting for almost a half hour I'm excited to say I will no longer visit this location. some of the smoothies had whole pieces of ice still in them. read more

When the food's good, it's great! When it's not...it's an awful experience. I've gone here several times since I've lived in Fredericksburg. The smoothies are all delicious; I haven't had a flavor I don't like. The food is tasty, and they've got some nice vegetarian options. I've found hair in my food here, wrapped up with the veggies and hummus in a wrap. Put an end to that meal pretty quickly. I've gone a couple times and had the staff forget to give me my food until I asked for it; they hadn't prepared it despite filling plenty of orders that had come in after mine. But probably the worst experience was when the staff took my order for a wrap with vegetarian chicken. I received the wrap and quickly discovered that my wrap was full of real chicken. When I mentioned it to the staff, the woman who took my order matter-of-factly stated "we don't have vegetarian chicken", and she had silently substituted real chicken into my meal. A more senior member of staff corrected her and remade the wrap with vegetarian chicken. The food was tasty, but that sort of behavior is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. read more

I love Tropical Smoothie. I go mainly for the Mocha Madness smoothie but every once in a while I will get a mediterranean or hummus wrap. They also offer breakfast but I have not tried anything from that menu yet. The food is always fresh, the staff friendly and the restaurant is kept clean.
