    Breakfast Burrito

Quaint little spot at the bottom of Kennesaw Mountain. Family owned opened only for breakfast/brunch. My food was delicious. Had the breakfast burrito with chorizo sausage. Although there was a lot of people service was quick. If you are in Kennesaw stop in!

Great service! Great breakfast. Good space for indoor and outdoor dining! Have gone here twice to take out of state family. They loved it.

Solid brunch spot in Kennesaw! I was with some friends running near by and we had a big crew so we were looking for a more casual spot that could accommodate us on a Saturday morning. The staff was super friendly and patient with us which I really appreciated! I got a vanilla latte and a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with a side of grits! I also shared some of the hashbrown casserole with someone and it was all delish! A solid biscuit and I really loved how peppery the grits were. The hashbrown casserole had a good amount of cheese and it was great but honestly I think my favorite part of all this was the price. I got the biscuit, grits and a latte for under $20 and I was able to tip which I loved! The latte wasn't the best one I have ever had but I still enjoyed it! Great casual brunch spot to try if you are in the area.

I mean you can't go wrong with weekend brunch here and I'm glad they added some new items to the menu from their Marietta Local location. We always go for their ginormous chicken biscuits and their delicious Nashville hot chicken wrap. We've been patronizing this place for the past 4+ years and it continues to satisfy. Weekend brunch gets extremely busy and seating becomes extremely hard to find inside/outside after 1100.

Always love the breakfast here. The biscuits are so fluffy and buttery! Someday I will try the lunch or dinner. It can get crowded and eating outside is nice if the weather is ok. Good service as they helped my mom with her coffee.

Seasonal salad + chicken, except they forgot the chicken.

I want to start this review by saying that Basecamp is a place that my entire family loves to eat at and has been in our restaurant rotation for years. However, my most recent experience was not positive and should have been handled much better by the restaurant. I did an online order for a salad and added chicken to it, as shown on the receipt. When I picked up the order, I did not check it and when I got home the salad was missing the chicken. So I went back to the restaurant and explained the situation and they threw a to-go cup of chicken down on the counter. No apology, no offer of a refund or comp for their mistake. Just poor customer service and a pathetic way of handling the situation that was completely their fault. I'm going to take both Basecamp and The Local out of the rotation for a while.

The restaurant is very cute and has a good location near Kennesaw mountains so you can grab breakfast and go for a nice hike or a walk right around the corner. When we went in, we were told to take a menu and then order at the host stand and then be seated and wait for our food. We got the Nashville, hot chicken sandwich with one with cheese grits, and one with hash brown casserole. The sandwich was delicious , not too spicy, but had enough of a kick. As far as the sides go, the hash brown casserole was a winner and I would definitely order that again! The hostess didn't seem very friendly. Maybe she was just having an off day, but this being our first time there I was definitely hoping for a little friendlier of an attitude. We didn't really have a server, they bring out your food and leave it and then we were pretty much on our own. We didn't need anything which was fine.

Biscuits and gravy with fried chicken

Loved it! The line was out the door when I got there and which is always a good sign. Got through the ordering fairly quickly with no issues. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with friend chicken and it was delicious. The gravy was great which I'm usually picky over. The chicken was moist and tender but the star was the biscuit! It was soft, hearty, and pretty perfect. Will return!

This is my second visit to Basecamp at Kennesaw Mountain and it's still great. It's a rustic spot in the mountains but has a very nice feel to it. Service is good. The young lady that took my order was so patient while my 5 year old niece made up her mind on what to order. Ordered my niece the kid's pancakes and I got the fried chicken and French toast combo and coffee. My niece tried my chicken and ate the majority of it. She liked her pancakes while I loved my French toast. The stewed apples were also good. I will skip the coffee next time. It was lukewarm and wasn't that great tasting to me. Overall, it's a great spot to eat.

Chicken Philly with hand cut French fries

This was my first visit to Basecamp at Kennesaw and I was planning to order the French Toast. I ordered the bacon infused pecan pancakes served with fried chicken. My dining companion order the chicken Philly. We ordered the self serve drinks and this may have been some of the best sweet tea I've had in Georgia. All the food was served hot and fresh. I only had two small complaints. You pre-tip the servers which is perfectly fine; however, they only bring your food. If you need refills or anything else, it will require you to go inside and get it yourself. Also, the hand cut French fries were not crisp. This was a nice spot for breakfast or brunch especially if going for a hike up Kennesaw Mountain

    Nashville Hot Chicken

Delicious!!! Food came out quick and hot. We got the famous french toast and fried chicken and the Nashville hot chicken. Lavender latte was also tasty. You order at the front and pick a dining spot. They bring the food to you! New favorite spot!!

Before receiving my food, 1st impression not positive. Sunday AM. Packed. Loud & Festive like. Lots of kids. All hard surfaces. 1 room. 'Open' kitchen. PRICEY. 3 pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs, bacon. Coffee. Tip. Total $30. Order in line, then get seat. VERY CREATIVE menu. Home made 'cathead' biscuits. White gravy. Coffee/drinks are serve yourself. Should have tipped only 15%. Minimalist approach. Nothing on table except S&P 'camping' disposable set. Grab extra napkins when squeezing around the drink stand. Server brings fork&knife wrapped in one. Tiny maple syrup plastic container. Wasn't enough for the great fluffy buttermilk pancakes. Small plate filled w/ my order. Bacon was excellent. Owner came by and another server a bit later. I'm sure I could have asked for more syrup. The quality of food is a 5. Hot, hits all the marks. Service is a 5, but I take 1 off for self serve and salad bars. Haha. Atmosphere...kid and family festive. With all the hard surfaces, I suggest outside, but it does sits back from busy road. (I finished my review outside and had a loud Camaro show his age.) BUT, when going to car I realized they have added picnic benches with tent coverings along the side. Finally, it was fast. They've changed a few process things to handle their popularity from a few years ago during my first time. All improvements in terms of speed. They need to be. On my way out, the line was long to order (10:30), maybe 15-20. Constant stream. It was Mother's Day. Assume this is a big breakfast demand. Well handled. Owner present.

My waitress was the sweetest and I really just enjoyed a lovely quiet lunch with the patio entirely to myself on a lovely summer afternoon. Couldn't have been better.

The wait on a rainy Saturday morning was reasonable considering there were quite a few other first timers in attendance. We could overhear other couples/families telling waitresses & hosts about the video. We also had the Smokey Scramble (with chicken) and a single buttermilk pancake - all of it delicious. And, $50 later I am scratching my head why didn't we pay half that nearby at place that specializes in waffles... We entered the restaurant and there was seating near what we thought was the hostess stand while you waited for the table. We spoke to the person at the stand and she said "you'll have to wait, I am in training". Well, turns out that wasn't the check in space because we should have spoken to that person who was waving an iPad and not very happy. As we navigated the narrow spot away from the waiting area, there were people coming in the front door waiting to get a table, pick up drivers trying to get to the stand, people looking for their friends already seated and the waiting people. This giant clump of people stepping on each other. I just think there must have been several meetings about the layout of the concept restaurant by people who have degrees in planning and design but no one took notes. I could include more about the lack of thoughtful architecture that would include the kitchen, the POS machine near a refill station, and the bathrooms but I will move on. Our server was not existent and just a slight step up on pleasant than the woman with the iPad. I requested that my entree items be served separately and while it did come out of the kitchen that way, her grimace and body language indicated it was the most difficult request that could be made. This was my first and last time trying to First Watch. It was an unpleasant experience. Topped off by the server leaving the bill BUT in order to pay, one must navigate the cluster of humanity at the front door. Who thought of that disaster of a system?
