This has happened like four or five times, with the same Tropical Smoothie. So at this point it must just be my fault for trusting the restaurant to only make a cheese quesadilla when I order a cheese quesadilla, but they keep adding chicken onto it every single time! Even though the item is called a "cheese quesadilla" and lists only two kinds of cheese as the ingredients. Maybe they like wasting money? Maybe they can't decipher between the two words, "chicken" and "cheese" because they both start with a C? I may never know, but I'm a vegetarian so it's super inconvenient and now I'm hungry with no lunch. I was honestly worried to try this location, due to all the bad reviews, but it's sooo hot out and a refreshing smoothie just sounded sooo yummy and this was the closest one. I'm sooo glad that i did! I ordered my usual smoothie, a Beach Bum with white chocolate, coconut, and pea protein powder. It tasted amazing as usual! I ended up going to Tropical Smoothie Café to try out one of their seasonal items, the Apple Pie Paradise Smoothie with Biscoff. The Apple Pie Paradise Smoothie with Biscoff cookies is a new smoothie available from September through November. It's their fall seasonal offering. The smoothie blends apples, cinnamon, yogurt, banana and coconut flavors together. What's special about this smoothie was the biscoff cookie pieces! It's the first time that the restaurant has offered some type of biscoff in their smoothie! The drink was pretty good. It had a apple pie creaminess with a cinnamon spice to it. The biscoff was a nice flavor addition too. Since it's a limited run smoothie, I wanted to try it out! It was totally worth it! Ordered some food for the first time here as i usually just order drinks and they managed to leave out two of my items, as well as give me real chicken on my wrap when I paid extra to have the plant based option instead. I know that the drive thru headset beeps until working the drive thru answers it, so there's no way that they don't know that I'm here waiting before I say something. I had nowhere else to be so I was just patient and sat here and honestly just kind of wanted to see how long it took them to finally take my order organically instead of me persisting. I waited at the speaker for about 10 minutes total, and at the window for an additional 5 minutes. My smoothie was really tasty though so that's why my rating isn't two stars. I'm an overall patient person so the waiting itself isn't what bothered me most, just the lack of communication. If you know someone is at the speaker and you're busy, at least say "hi I'll be with you in just a minute" I will continue to come here for the yummy smoothies and would even increase my rating if the service during my next visits is an improvement. read more
