The line is soooo slow. Got here at 11:24am, we ordered at 11:47, and we got our drinks at 12:00 if you don't have a lot of time on your hands I don't recommend the drive through at this place. The service was poor and not very friendly. They were out of the flavored straws. It had a bad smell coming out of the window and the smoothies tasted like normal super watered down. I wish service was a bit faster and the smoothies had a little less water. One guy did a mobile order and got his smoothie in 5 mins. Our smoothies sat by the window for 10 minutes and were melted. My family and I walked in and ordered 2 kid smoothies. We were greeted and the customer service was great! I knew there'd be a wait since they make to order and they also have a drive thru. We've been here a few times and after today I don't think we'll be coming back. I understand a lot of places are short staffed but today they had two people working and with the amount of orders they had overwhelmed them and the customers. My husband was waiting an hour inside to pick up two wraps and a smoothie. They gave him the smoothie and after standing there for so long they forgot he ordered actual food. They made the food for him and when we got in the car we noticed they didn't even make us the correct food. We didn't bother even going back in after waiting that long. I do not recommend this place at all Todays experience consisted of the employees wrestling while making our food. One of the employees fell to the ground with gloves on and decided to not change them while making our food. Then I witnessed the employee that threw him to the ground bare hand all of the other food they were making. Already reviewed this location once before and I'm sad to say that no improvements have been made during that time. At least when I wrote my previous review, the only issues were with the staff... now both the staff and food leave much to be desired. The only reason I ever eat here is when I'm accompanying my daughter, who is vegan. She appreciates that they have plant-based options. However, the meal she ordered cost $15 and the wrap was smaller and thinner than a Nutri-Grain bar. The wraps used to be so large that she would have to save half to finish later. She told me that they have been getting progressively smaller in size... meanwhile, that is not reflected anywhere in the price. Tropical Smoothie should be ashamed! We frequent this location often because my daughter loves their smoothies and cheese quesadillas. Today I ordered a Baja chicken bowl for delivery and was extremely disappointed. There was no chicken on it, I asked for no pickled onion and they put it on there and they slapped two big pieces of tomato on it. There was also a black hair stick in with the pickled onions. I threw it out and couldn't even finish my smoothie because of how disgusted I was by the hair. My daughters cheese quesadillas were very sloppily made and cut as well. We generally love most of the Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations we visit. But read the reviews on this location. Two years of negative reviews !!! The owner doesn't seem to care about fixing the problems!!!! The employees were working very hard, but were simply under staffed. They had two but needed 4 or more. The employee said only two were scheduled all day ( 1-16-23 ). I have spent 35 years in retail management and it doesn't take much effort to see how to improve this business. If the owners would just realize that even if payroll doubled with twice the employees, and or paying more per hour. You would get all the good help you need, because Good employees will go where the money is. The profits would be huge. I was there an hour. Watched several customers walk out the door and other customers ask for refunds. All because of under staffing. They had to call the manager twice while I waited. Manager was told they were swamped.... Did he/she come to help, I doubt it. It's sad there is a owner somewhere that doesn't care who is running the this business or he is simply wealthy and does not know how to make money by observing this business and reacting to the needs of the location. If this owner would patterned this location like a Chick-fil-A, and manage well, train well, and pay well. The sales and profits would be staggering. But I bet this locations owner never reads reviews. He just makes excuses on why it doesn't make more money. I almost didn't come here because of the 2 star rating I saw on the Apple Map for this location. I then read the reviews and decided I would take the risk. Unfortunately I am now writing a review and giving them a 1 star. I just received a smoothie with plastic in it. Yes, PLASTIC. The first part that came out of the straw had a piece in it. I then pulled that out of my mouth and thought maybe a small piece had somehow gotten in. I took another pull of the straw and got another piece. I'm not taking anymore chances with this smoothie or this location. Reading other reviews shows management is lacking and my experience confirms there is no quality control. read more

I have been to this location twice. Once was a few months ago. The smoothie was delicious and they said they did a two for one deal from 0700 to 0900 Monday through Friday which was great. I went back today excited that I was going to make the two for one time after a nice workout on the beach. Decided to go through the drive through since I was covered in sand. The manager was not very nice, and I asked if they still had the two for one, she yelled NO. She told me it would be 5.85 and as I was pulling away I could hear her screaming "what?" Wasn't too pleased with this interaction but waited for my turn at the counter. Finally get there and the lady who was a different one took my money and didn't give the correct change. I told her the lady said it would be 5.85, so she took the change back and said it would be a moment. The manager comes up, and yells at the other lady saying "I'm going to need you to not walk away when I am doing this for you to learn". Then she gives me the correct change without saying a word to me. The only reason this place gets two stars is that the smoothies I have had there were delicious. I will not return to this location due to the poor customer service. For one you should not yell at your customer and secondly there is no reason to degrade anyone, especially an employee in front of customers. It is sad when the manager is exhibiting these behaviors. I hope the company sees this as an issue that needs to be addressed. read more

Avoid this place. I've been coming here for years and it was always good, but not anymore. Terrible service combined with being overpriced. Today I ordered a smoothie and a wrap, and waited ten minutes for the wrap to come out while seeing people who came in after me being served before me. Finally I was able to get the attention of the "manager," and told her I was still waiting on my wrap. Apparently the recipe and name of the wrap I ordered were changed, which is why I didn't know they called it out once, but I was sitting right next to the counter and they never attempted to give it to me. When I asked for it, the "manager" said that it was called something else now, as if that was relevant. She and her staff are obviously incompetent.
