Food was amazing. Biscuits and gravy was the best I've ever had and the biscuits and tomato gravy was very good as well. Literally couldn't take a picture because I was holding my fork as soon as she sat it down. Service was excellent she was very attentive and kind. I had an unexpected phone call and had to rush out and the manager came out to check on me. That was very kind imo. Great people and little place.

Like an airplane out of control. Spiraling down till it crashes. Food was subpar. Atmosphere looks dirty plus it's so cold. The food is cold before you eat it.

The food was AMAZING! The customer service was top tier. My husband and I were there on a breakfast date and it was actually my first time there. Will be returning soon.

Pensacola legend. Historic location, which is a good vibe for this part of PCola. No frills and good food. We greeted and sat promptly. The place on an early Saturday was pretty full. We both had the classic breakfasts, which were eggs, protein and home fries. Tons of coffee to boot. We watched the line cook actually cook our breakfasts. Bonus - you can pay by phone. A must while in PCola.

    French Toast w/sliced bananas

We arrived at about 6:30 am. They stated we could just seat ourselves so we chose a booth. I believe this restaurant opened in 1945. You could also tell this by swivel type chairs at the counter. Most tables were occupied within 15-20 minutes of our arrival. Whenever I go out to breakfast - it's nearly impossible for me to order something other than French toast because it's always been my go to breakfast and today was no exception. I ordered a full order as opposed to half an order. I also asked for sliced bananas & a chocolate milk. My friend ordered the Sausage & Gravy on biscuits with eggs over easy and coffee. He loved the coffee and even though they offer free refills of coffee - they serve it in smallish type coffee cup, it was almost comical. However, he did state it was mostly gravy with little bits of sausage. I adored my french toast. As a matter of fact - it was the best french toast that I've ever had. What made it unique for me was that it had a very light "crunch" to it. When complimenting the waitress she stated that they actually sort of deep fry it but just barely. On my next visit - I'm trying the oatmeal.

    Breakfast is on the griddle!

I needed an early breakfast before conducting training and they opened at 6am so that got me checking out their reviews. I was in the mood for a traditional breakfast and this classic staple of Pensacola delivered and then some! Everything is cooked on the griddle right in front of you. They use the milkshake blender to make the eggs fluffy and they have everything prepped and ready to go the griddle. Eggs, sausage and hashbrowns and biscuits with gravy. Outstanding. I watch three different people take their turn cooking while the line cook ate his breakfast and each meal looked as delicious as the next. They have serving a great breakfast down to a science. They still have what appears to be the original bar stools and this place has been open since 1945. Charming locals breakfast spot in the heart of the city. Loved everything about this place. Try it for yourself.

A must stop for breakfast or lunch when in Pensacola. It is old-school, everything you would expect from an established diner... Friendly, fast service, delicious, busy and noisy. Fresh coffee, and homemade biscuits, very happy we found this local joint. We will be back next time we are in town.

We arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday morning and we were wrong to think that the place would be empty after an early breakfast rush. We were seating upon entering by Brooke who also was our server. The menu is varied and we found out that you can order anything at anytime. We had ordered the Spicy Pulled Pork omelette and Shrimp and Grits. Next time, we're thinking a Grouper sandwich as they were being enjoyed at two tables next to us and looked delicious. Our breakfast entrees arrived quickly. The omelette came with a choice of side and I chose the potatoes. They were seasoned but a bit cold and hard. Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.

I didn't care for the flavor in the shrimp batter and the fries were heavy coated with pepper. I generally like pepper, but it was a bit much. The grilled pork chop wasn't bad. I will say a $7 charge for a large chocolate milk that wasn't even that good of milk. Maybe we ordered poorly today. Our server was a 10/10.

Nest clean and interesting, definitely wanting to be in an Instagram shot. Ordered our drinks and food, took almost 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Husband at that point just had to ask the food runner for more coffee, our waitress was MIA. Then our meals finally arrived. The pork belly was ok, felt like it was precooked the day before, no pretty caramelization just cooked and tossed in. The plantains were super soft and well fried. The avocado better be on point, as it was. Husband had the lomo saltado, which was wildly under seasoned. It felt dumbed down and not authentic. Also if you are going to ask how to cook the eggs and can't deliver on the ask just make them all scrambled. I wish I could tell you the mimosa was good, it was just there. Would like to have tried another flavor but after brunch I was ready to leave. Can't say I'll be back

They hit that mark, but it cost me $40 with tax & tip. That is for just a salad and an order of french fries! The water came quickly in a real glass and tasted excellent. Very clean and cold, and greatly appreciated. Since it was a real glass I did not ask for a straw which is unusual for me. I enjoyed a nice view of the skatepark across the street as I dined, and watching all the people having a good time in the outdoors was refreshing. Most restaurants don't offer a view like this. There are a set of dining bars with chairs at the windows on either side of the door to amplify the view, but I opted for a traditional table since there were many available when I entered. As for the food... well, it was good, but not great. The $14 iceberg wedge was dotted with some delicious pancetta and gorgonzola cheese, and the lettuce was super fresh and crisp. Where it missed the mark was the overly mayonnaisey dressing. It really needed some more seasoning or something and I could not taste any buttermilk at all, even though it is called a "herb buttermilk dressing." The single cherry tomato (halved) was delicious and sweet, as were the 4 thin slices of radish. While the presentation was nice, it really needed more tomatoes and radish in my opinion, and a stoutly buttermilk dressing. The duck fat fries were crisp, too crisp. I enjoy the soft mushy potato inside the crispness of lard-fried potatoes, but very few of these offered that. They were generally too crisp, and some were crispy all the way thru making them a solid crisp. They came mostly unseasoned so I had to use the salt shaker generously. The sausage bits were good but a bit on the greasy side. The dipping sauce was mild, bland and oily, and I wished they had offered a ketchup alongside as well. Whether homemade or store bought, ketchup would have added color and some much needed acidity to the plate. Your mileage will vary, but for me, there are better options in my price range and this is not a place I can take hungry teenagers.
