I almost didn't come here because of the 2 star rating I saw on the Apple Map for this location. I then read the reviews and decided I would take the risk. Unfortunately I am now writing a review and giving them a 1 star. I just received a smoothie with plastic in it. Yes, PLASTIC. The first part that came out of the straw had a piece in it. I then pulled that out of my mouth and thought maybe a small piece had somehow gotten in. I took another pull of the straw and got another piece. I'm not taking anymore chances with this smoothie or this location. Reading other reviews shows management is lacking and my experience confirms there is no quality control. read more

Avoid this place. I've been coming here for years and it was always good, but not anymore. Terrible service combined with being overpriced. Today I ordered a smoothie and a wrap, and waited ten minutes for the wrap to come out while seeing people who came in after me being served before me. Finally I was able to get the attention of the "manager," and told her I was still waiting on my wrap. Apparently the recipe and name of the wrap I ordered were changed, which is why I didn't know they called it out once, but I was sitting right next to the counter and they never attempted to give it to me. When I asked for it, the "manager" said that it was called something else now, as if that was relevant. She and her staff are obviously incompetent. I won't be coming back to this location anymore...as a matter of fact, I don't think tropical smoothie will be getting my business anymore at all. Oh, and the wrap was terrible. read more

I am a huge Tropical Smoothie fan. But this establishment is garbage. I have been disappointed every time I go in there. It seems I have to go to Destin for an actual edible smoothie from a TS chain. The service was crap. They actually fought about who was going to make my smoothies. The loser didn't seem happy at all! Go figure. I ordered a Caribbean C burst and I make this at home a lot too, so when I finally got it after waiting a while....it was missing orange juice and a banana!!! It was basically ice and carrots! My wife's blimey Limey was fine tasting, but it was melted as soon as I received it from the worker. I am disappointed to say the least. I will not be returning. read more

WARNING this location has no qualms putting spoiled ingredients into their sandwiches - in the smoothies too probably, but its hard to tell due to all the sugar covering up the taste. I ordered via the app and picked up 10-15 mins later. It was breakfast so no one was there. I went through the drive they and no one answered. So I stopped at the window and no one was there. Parked and went inside to find one woman working on my wraps and the other employee just chatting away about some personal drama. My wraps finish and he realizes I'm still waiting on smoothies. He starts on them (takes about 5 mins) and it not only tastes like water,but there's something in here I'm allergic to. Rushing home for a Benedryl and rest. Never again. read more

Location used to always provide good tasting items, but is hit or miss as of late. Sometimes what you order will be ok; sometimes it'll be awful. The thing that is really distasteful to me (not sure if they are still doing this or not; haven't been back since my last visit, blechh!) is that if you pay by card, the machine will ask you if you'd like to tip as you pay for what you've ordered; even if it's ordered to go. You pay before you recieve the product. WHY do they believe they should possibly be tipped when you don't even know if what you ordered will taste decent or not, take forever to make, not dine there, etc. If you don't provide a tip, will they then judge you and make the food poorly? Typically in the past, businesses would price enough overhead to cover the expenses of a store. Maybe they need to raise the prices if they want more money. IF (and thats a big IF) I ever go there again, before I pay, I'm going to tell them that I charge a customer fee that just so happens to be the exact percentage amount of the highest tip percentage option of whatever I order. I mean, we all need money, so it's only reasonable. read more

Expect to wait at least 15 minutes including if you are lucky enough to get someone to take your order through drive thru. Have given this place multiple chances and they fail miserably every time. I placed an order for pick up time at 1230. Arrived just a couple mins after my pick up time, and was ignored for about five to ten minutes by the girl running the drive thru and register. They seem super disorganized and not able to figure out orders in a timely matter. I usually try to be patient about this since I have worked in the service industry for years. I love love love this place!!! The food and the smoothies are to die for! Service and employees kill it everyday! The new assistant manager definitely keeps the store going in the right direction and obviously knows what he's doing! Shout out to "Big Kev" as his name tag reads! I was taken back tho on the drug use at the store tho. As a recovering addict, 8 years sober today and going, I noticed one of the employees, Trisha I believe her name is, and mind you this is couple days ago and again on another occasion, coming out of the restroom as I was going in, and I could smell it very strange but unique smell and as a recovering addict I believe and also not just the smell but as to how she was acting afterwards, that she was using in the restroom prior to going and taking care of customers. She seemed a little off and just looking at her I could tell her eyes were very glazed over and you know her pupils were very dilated and I am very concerned that she is on some sort of opiate. Other than this place being phenomenal on the food and smoothies and you know their employees being so great with customers, I'd be a little bit concerned on who is handling my food and making it. I understand everybody fights you know their addictions everyday but you know when working in customer service and food I do believe that people that are under the influence should not be in this industry much less dealing with you know people's food and customers at that. This just strikes as alarming to me because I know I will not return to this location at least as long as you know their employees are going to get high in the restroom and returning to take care of their customers and their food. It's very saddening for me to sit and write such a review on such an amazing place with great employees but I know that you know this is probably not the only location like this or the only restaurant around that you know struggles with employees and their addictions. This is a situation that could have waited to when she got home and done whatever decisions and choices she wants to make in life but don't be bringing it to work and dealing with customers. All in all I love this place but I will be going to another location, or unless they at least get another employee that's not on drugs while at work and handling my food. There are certain things that if you do out of work should be kept that way and when you're at work you should be professional, but those that can't do that shouldn't be working. Every time I go in there the same crew rushes you. They're not very friendly. They obviously don't want to be there. I went there on Saturday morning around 8 o'clock and there was one girl working and she was more friendly than anybody else when there's several people there. And that's on a Saturday morning. I'm a big fan of tropical smoothie, but I'm upset to say that this specific cafe did not provide a good experience for me. I called in an order for pick up and waited the 20 minutes as requested and I arrived, I was charged for an entirely different order (yes I did give my name and let them know I called in the order). I ended up having to leave my contact info so the manager can reimburse my charge and was told I still needed to pay for my original order. Understandably, I also paid for my original order as well. i've given this place multiple chances and somehow every single time they have disappointed me. the first three times i went they dropped my card on the ground because they don't even make eye contact with you at the window. they don't know anything about their product and the workers always look high everytime i come in. i asked if they had any dairy substitutes and asked if they can do any smoothies without dairy and the guy proceeded to get mad at me because he didn't know what dairy was and i had to explain to him basic food pyram knowledge on what dairy classifies as. after he gets aggravated with me he still had the audacity to verbally ask for a tip. the customer service is horrible and i've never made a review before but this time i'm set off to where i'll never come here again and do everything in my power to use my platform to where no body even thinks about coming here. read more

This location used to be amazing about four years ago. Awesome high school aged staff that knew what they were doing and did it fast. What I'm assuming happened is all those students went off to college as well as this location getting new management because whoever trained all these new people surely is not the same person that trained the previous staff. Orders are rarely right and when they are they're still bad. Grainy, icy smoothies. Flatbreads with the cheese completely unmelted. I've tried to give this new staff a couple chances but I am once again sitting in the drive through line for TWENTY MINUTES. I have loved tropical smoothie ever since I first moved to Florida 4 years ago. Last year I moved to Navarre, and this is by far the surest tropical smoothie I have ever been to.i have given them multiple chances and they SUCK!!!!! The smoothies are not as good here and neither is the food's customer service is awful. The workers are extremely unprofessional. They do not have enough hired help. They might as well get rid of their pickup window because they next answer it. And the southwest chicken salad has always been my favorite and they no longer make it. What's up with that. Sitting in line in the drive thru as I'm writing this... Haven't even made it to the window and it's been 30 minutes?? There were 3-4 cars ahead of me when I pulled up so I figured it would be a minute bc it's normally slow anyways but 30 minutes?? And I still haven't gotten to the window where more than likely I'll wait another 10? Ive worked at a tropical smoothie before and I can say this is disappointing. If you're in peak hours, and can't handle the volume of business on a Tuesday afternoon then close your drive thru. If your understaffed, close your drive thru. If I hadn't already ordered I would have turned around and left by now. Update; it took 40 minutes for me to recieve my food. Staff is sweet, you can tell they're trying their best but without a manager or qualified professional it's hard to deal with situations like this with unhappy customers. When I worked there three years ago manager would often not come to work and without the manager we had no manager code or authority to even comp something or get a discount. I won't be back. This location has gone downhill, probably due to the poor management. Terrible service, and my wrap is different every time I go. Always order a hummus veggie wrap and the ingredients in it change each time or are missing completely. Several times now I've had wraps missing multiple ingredients, each time I've called back for a new wrap and was given unfriendly service and no apology. The "manager" I dealt with yesterday has no business being a manager and would rather argue that my wrap had hummus on it that wasn't on there, than apologize for the mistake. I'm a huge tropical smoothie fan and have been to several in various states so I was happy to find one here in Navarre. However, I can honestly say this was by far the WORST. We ordered curbside pickup, tried calling once we arrived and the phones went directly to voicemail, okay no big deal. I go in to pick up my order and it was so chaotic. It was evident the poor employees were overwhelmed. I had to show them which order was mine. It was pretty dirty, the counter tops were messier than other tropical smoothies. However, I can deal with this...I'm a pretty go with the flow person so I wait awhile to get my order, I take it all to the car open it up both mine and my mother's bread was WAY over toasted and definitely not up to other locations in terms of presentation. Unfortunate, but makes sense as employees were running around inside with no clear direction. I go to take a bite of my Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich and pull out a huge piece of paper. Check the other half and same thing. I'm sure it was paper they used to cook or heat up the food but pretty nasty for it to be in your sandwich. Yikes!! There was one truck at the drive-thru, three customers who were waiting for their orders...or to place their order. There were 4 visible employees.... all making food. No one even said "be right there" or anything! I also left. How come the manager makes the employees pay for register shortages???? Can we say illegal!!! Perfect place for taking a break from the beach! Cashier and smoothie maker were friendly and polite. We only had smoothies, which were delicious; but the wraps they were fixing smelled fantastic. The cashier took the time to explain a couple of the add ins, and although the smoothies come sweetened with turbinado sugar, you can ask for no sugar or Splenda. Not much seating, so if you're looking for a place to hang out, this probably isn't it. But for a grab and go, it's fantastic! We're in Navarre for a week and will definitely be back. read more
