Close to the office, and boss recommended, so gave it a try. I opted for a chicken pesto flatbread sandwich with a side of kale-apple salad, along with a peanut butter smoothie. Smoothies were pretty good, about average. But the food... extremely over priced and pretty much tasteless. Our sandwiches were extremely skimp and even burnt. Side of sweet potatoes taste AWFUL. Like microwave frozen potatoes, paid extra and you get maybe 1/4 if a large sweet potatoe with nothing on it at all not even a cinnamon sprinkle. I've had bigger quesadillas at Taco Bell for half the price. $30 for two smoothies and two entrees is crazy. read more

I had a coupon for a free smoothie if you order online. Coupon stated it expired today, June 5. When I entered code, it kept telling me I didn't have eligible item for that code. I tried 3 different smoothies. It wouldn't work. I went in to have employee help me. Manager over heard me telling employee and showing him what it was doing. He said coupon expired June 4 (but that wasn't what coupon said boldly). He went ahead and gave me my smoothie free. The employee was very friendly and my smoothie was prepared super quickly. I got the Bahama Mama. It was super yummy. I wasn't happy about trying to order online and having difficulty but I was very happy when I left. I found it!!! The outside gives you no idea of the welcoming, clean and tropical atmosphere you walk into when you come indoors. Walked in to smiling faces and a hello! Quick scan found clean tables and high chairs and pop fountain. What stood out was the customer service, very energetic and positive. I was so delighted to walk into a place I have been to in Michigan and get the same outstanding service in Olive Branch, Mississippi. You order in the front and we seated ourselves near the pick up window. Condiment area clean and well stocked. No apple kale slaw.. bummer but I got that chocolate chunk cookie and it was crispy. The oatmeal cookie was really good. My children ate and enjoyed their turkey and cheese wraps. I had the jerk and it was beyond tasty. I really like the Sunrise and Pineapple Delight smoothies. They are just the right amount of sweet and healthy for my fat self. I feel all uppity, superior, and dignified walking out and gazing across at the masses running through the drive thru at McDonalds. Look at me! I am healthier than you right at this exact moment! Seriously though, it's not a fantastic experience really, ever, but the smoothies are good. I have only eaten the Jamaican Jerk wrap here. It's pretty tasty but a bit pricey. I love coming to Tropical Smoothie Cafe because they have such great smoothies! There is such a large selection of smoothies. I have yet to be disappointed with a purchase, though my favorite is the Sunrise Sunset. The restaurant is a little small, and even though there can be a wait, I've never had problems finding a seat. The employees are very friendly and are willing to personalize your smoothies should you require it. They also have nutritional information available; I feel that the smoothies are fairly healthy, but if you think they have too many calories, they make smoothies with Splenda, which significantly drops the calories. You have to ask for it though. Their smoothie portions are huge, and they have a great combo deal if you're hungry for food as well. I had to take off one star for the sandwiches. They appears to have high-quality meat, but I've never had a sandwich that I thought was really good. It was just okay. The cookies are excellent though. read more

This location lacks basic customer service skills! Walking into the restaurant on a Wednesday evening, no one was at the counter. Then, when someone did arrive there, not even a greeting until I asked a question about a coupon I had a question about but was bluntly told " We don't carry that item". Then asked to look at the date of the coupon. The owner obviously did not look carefully enough at the corporate marketing campaign it appears for the special of the week! You only get the 24oz size for your smoothies, and I don't know, but you can order the same flavor on different visits, and it tastes different, as if the batches or recipes were tweaked in between visits. To date I haven't eaten the wraps or other offerings in their menu, as the smoothies are my main draw to the place. Several Green options (kale, spinach, and on a limited basis, avocado). The service is friendly, and like some other reviewers mentioned, you feel better stopping here over the fast food fare in the vicinity. If they had smaller sizes for the non guzzlers and their smoothies had a more consistent flavor (they're good, but they never taste the same), the rating would be higher. read more
