If ordering online and picking up in store make sure to get someone's attention to let them know you've arrived for your order. They only call out names for orders placed there, and the online orders are stored away. There is a sign for this but I thought they were also calling out all order names and workers were too busy to easily engage. There is so much to choose from here! Not a place where you will get bored quickly. The Island Chicken Quesadilla was just the right size to quell hunger pangs, and the flavor is great! My wife had the Baja Chicken Bowl. It could have used a bit more meat on it, but it had great flavor. Everything seems to have just a little "burn: to it. I love this new Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The location is great! Besides a Starbucks, and behind Lake Nona's Valencia College. It's well decorated, very clean and roomy (compared with other Tropical Smoothie Cafes). Prices are a little "up there", specially if you are getting a smoothie and a meal. You could easily pay $11.00 for a smoothie and a wrap. However, food is tasty and a healthier option when thinking of eating in a "fast-food" restaurant. They also offer several coupons and discounts through their new app, website and email subscription and they also send monthly coupons through your mail. They offer several creative smoothie options and wraps, salads and sandwiches. They also let you modify your choice of food and/or smoothie at no extra charge (unless you are adding extra ingredients, instead of switching). Tip: Always make sure to ask for your receipt, which has a survey code... Upon completion of survey, you get a code for a $1.99 smoothie. Considering their smoothies are little under $6.00, I would say completing a 5 minute survey is ok with me! read more

This location has better service when the manager is working. Without him, the employees aren't the best. There were times employees charged $0.99 for free substitutes, so look out for that. Only reason not a 5 star is because if i want to add cinnamon to a smoothie it's an extra dollar. Wow. Outrageous. Otherwise the smoothies are on point. You should ask if the "healthy" smoothies have sugar in them. I didn't know and thought i was only getting the natural sugars that come from the fruit, but no they add sugar too. You can ask for half sugar or even no sugar....but the reason their smoothies taste as good as they do is all the sugar. Wrap and pressed sandwiches are usually on point. Sometimes, they put too much of one ingredient in there...but otherwise they are delicious. I come here often. read more

I've been to a few Tropical Smoothie locations before but this one is by far the best! (Keep in mind that I walked in about 15 minutes before closing and I got my order to go) The staff was friendly and gave me their full attention, as if the place had just opened. The restaurant was clean, like VERY clean. The smoothie station, the kitchen, the tables, the registers, the bathroom, all of it was clean. Got my go-to sandwich, turkey bacon ranch. Love the bread and everything tasted fresh. Tried the rockin raspeberry smoothie and it didn't disappoint. First time here, and I absolutely loved it! I had the hummus veggie wrap with no cheese, no ranch, added extra hummus and got the Thai chili dressing on the side! I made it totally vegan and since it was my first time i wanted to see how I liked the Thai chili dressing and it was soooooo good! Kind of a weird combo but the flavors really worked! My mom got a smoothie and she also was happy with her selection. Both the wrap and smoothie tasted fresh and we both agreed we should try this again in the future. My two favorites, which can also stand in place of a meal, are the Triple Berry Oats smoothie and the Chia Banana Boost with strawberry (or peanut butter if you're looking for that extra comfort). The food is also surprisingly good! I use the word 'surprising' because I haven't encountered many food establishments here that offer "healthy fare" which also tastes good. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken wrap, which turned out to be savory and flavorful. As a word of warning, it definitely has a little kick to it. The Thai chicken wrap would be a great alternative for people looking for something more mild. Tropical Smoothie Cafe also offers a half sandwich + smoothie option for those of us who can never decide. I go to other TSCs and they're consistent. This store is at best, a crapshoot. Some days your order will be on point but most others, so wrong you wonder if they looked at the ticket. I have to say for a small place it's got a great little menu for lunch. I love that you can pair the smoothies with a sandwich or wrap. I always love the chipotle flatbread, it's always fresh and it's very affordable for a quick bite for lunch. This location just recently opened up and I'm so happy it did. It's right next to Valencia which is the perfect location for students to grab a quick study snack or employees who are looking for something healthy to eat. The few times I've gone it has been during lunch peak hours, but I believe the staff do a really good job at balancing the rush hour while still being polite and friendly. They even had a promotion survey which if you competed you would get an add on smoothie for $1.99(awesome deal). The most recent time I went I got the sunrise sunset and the buffalo chicken wrap. Both were really good. The smoothie was very refreshing especially on a hot Florida afternoon. I love how tropical smoothie doesn't have sizes, I feel like you get the right amount for what you pay for, compared to other smoothie places.
