I recently had the opportunity to try out Pho Haven on my last trip to Lake Nona after hearing great things about it from friends.... So I came in with high expectations but left a bit underwhelmed. This spot is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Upon entering, I was sat almost immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is a little smaller and quaint but still had a good amount of tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My server was very nice and attentive throughout my visit. For food, I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup). The broth was savory and flavorful but the dish itself didn't really stand out compared to others I had in the past. The price point was a bit on the higher end as well.. but I totally get it.... It makes sense for the location of the restaurant. Overall, I had just an ok experience at Pho Haven. I wouldn't mind coming back in the future to maybe try out another one of their dishes.

This is my first time having fried rice at a pho shop and was kind of blown away. I associate fried rice with Chinese but the Vietnamese restaurants are equal. I'm shocked that I have not tried it previously but I enjoyed every bite. It was flavorful alone but still needed to add the chili garlic sauce. That just completed the taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love all the new spots in Orlando near the airport.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now there is no reason to go far to enjoy good eats. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This shopping strip was perfectly located near our vrbo and the tennis center.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great food and quick service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and inviting restaurant with friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The banh was excellent, could've used more pate on it but otherwise very good. Vermicelli bowl is pretty standard, both proteins were very good. Grilled chicken rice platter was a huge portion. It took longer than all the other food but it was hot and cooked to perfection. Marinade is like a sweet teriyaki flavor. Very good. Came with a side of broth which bad broccoli and carrots in it.

Got the Combination Pho; no meatballs, extra flank. Broth was rich and flavorful, noodles perfectly cooked, and the extra flank was tender with just the right chew. Fast, friendly service and a generous herb plate. Definitely coming back.

Solid local spot. Impressive fast service for carry outs- usually ready within 10 minutes of placing the order over the phone. Posting their new menu photos since I can never find it online. Everyt

Unfortunately my BahnMi was lacking that Vietnamese flavor, had a sliver of pickled radish and veggies which I think makes it stand out from other subs/sandwiches. Sad to say I was not satisfied. Still give this place a chance as the grilled chicken was tasty and plentiful and as long as you don't have the craving for an authentic Asian sandwich. I heard the vegetarian pho was good, I would have ordered a pho but then they didn't have the option of egg noodles. It wasn't busy & service wasn't quick but it didn't take that long either. Casual environment. Description on menu at counter was in small font and challenging to read. Clean place though. Sorry Pho Haven, I need enough pickled radish if there's a next time.

*UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT* This place just changed ownership a couple weeks ago and boy, does it bode well. Full disclosure, I never tried this place prior on account of the previous menu looking very lackluster and generic for the prices they were charging. But I'm happy to report that the new menu is extremely expanded and the flavors are on point--from what I'm reading from older reviews, a major improvement from before. This shouldn't be much of a surprise given that the new owners are also behind Vietnam Cuisine Quan Nho--a mainstay of the Colonial/Mills district. There are now expanded pho and appetizer offerings as well as com (rice dishes), bun (vermicelli noodle dishes), fried rice, and an impressive array of beverages -- when a place offers jackfruit and durian smoothies, you know it has to be legit. They even have che ba mau (3 color dessert)! On this particular night I tried the short rib pho and finished off with a che ba mau. I feel like my companion and I shared a look of surprise at our first tastes because, to be perfectly honest, we were not expecting it to be as good as it was. I must've been so excited about the dessert because I forgot to take a picture of it! A part of me regretted getting dishes so filling because it meant I didn't have room to try more things. Fish sauce chicken wings, beef papaya salad, shaken beef and bun bo hue caught my eye in particular. Pho Haven 2.0 might be the best Asian food to arrive in Lake Nona in the 3 years I've lived here and is miles better than a certain other Vietnamese place down Narcoossee. It might be a little more expensive than the places across town, but isn't everything in Lake Nona? Not to mention not having to drive 25+ minutes for decent Vietnamese food--I would say you can't put a price on that, but it's at least $3 in toll. Will definitely be coming back with a crowd to try more dishes. My only request is that more of the drinks are made the dairy free ingredients for us poor lactose-intolerants. And add banh cuon to the menu (pretty please? :D)

New management since last month! And it's the same owners from Vietnam Crusine by mills and 50 which is my fav pho spot for years!!! The food is authentic and the pho broth was on point. We came with a group so we got a bunch of things. The owner is super nice. I had no hesitation in ordering because i know it will be good. I got to try their papaya salad with jerky and it was delicious. First time trying and I have to the say the jerky was a nice touch. Also if you're lucky and there's extra bone narrows, the owner gives it away for free!

    Tofu summer roll ($3)
    Rachel S.

I went for lunch with some friends because we were in the mood for warm soup, and this place did not disappoint. The broth was like a warm hug that filled my soul with the first sip. I got the vegan pho ($14) and the summer roll with tofu and peanut sauce ($3) and was full from that. The vegan ham in the pho was very salted and seemed cured, while the veggies were very bland and seemed frozen. The broth was very delicious though and brought all the ingredients together. Service was alright, there was a 15-20 minute wait for our food to arrive, with the pho taking longer, but the staff members apologized for the wait. They had also forgotten to bring utensils, so we had to go up and ask for them. My summer roll didn't roll out until the very end when we were done with the pho. The staff members were very communicative though and said they had just hired some new staff which would explain some of the imperfections. The outside of the restaurant is very simple, with hardly any signs on the windows, but once you enter, there are lots of tables and lights. Plenty of parking available too as it is located in a shopping/dining plaza.

Fresh, tasty food. My pork was a little sweet but interesting. John did not love his stir fried rice. Dad's pork and egg roll dish was my favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was lovely as was the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kids want to give it a 3 because it was cold inside and they weren't as impressed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Veggie/tofu pho, chicken pho, thai milk tea
    Natassia D.

Have always enjoyed dining in for pho here, especially on colder evenings. Service is quick and we never have to wait long for our meals. We usually get the veggie/tofu and the chicken pho which come with a decent amount of veggies and chicken, respectively, and always more noodles than I can finish myself. Their broth is on the lighter and milder side of flavors so I sometimes wish there was a slightly larger punch to it, but I always had the hoisin sauce and sriracha to spice things up to my liking! We also almost always get their thai milk tea which a nice addition to our meal, however more times then not they're out of boba which is often a slight let down.

Highly recommend pho haven in this location. The NEW dish you must try : beef short rib pho noodles soup is delicious, the meat is very tender and the soup is very hot when it delivers to the table. Try it when you are in the area ! The staff is very friendly. They have good variety of dishes on the menu , the fried rice is good too to try !

We started with the crispy chicken dumplings--crispy on the outside with a juicy, tender chicken filling. Perfect way to kick things off. We continued with three items: Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho), Orange Chicken, and Sautéed Cubed Beef "Shaking Beef" (Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc). The Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho) was heaven on a dish. The beef stew was easily the standout--rich, flavorful, and the beef was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The vermicelli noodles were just as impressive. Just reminiscing about it makes my mouth water. The "Shaking Beef" was served over white rice (highly recommend), and every bite was better than the last. The garlic butter sauce really takes it over the top. Don't be fooled by the Orange Chicken--Boneless chicken, fried perfectly and coated in their authentic sweet orange sauce. The best Orange Chicken in town, hands down. No chance of leftovers here--you won't want to put your fork down.

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype at all. The broth was unbelievably bland--almost like flavored hot water. It lacked the rich, savory depth that's the heart of a good pho. I kept mixing the soup, hoping the flavor had just sunk to the bottom, but no. Worst $20 wasted ever. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but this was one of the most disappointing bowls of pho I've had, especially considering all the positive reviews.

From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and incredible aromas set the stage for a fantastic dining experience. Every spoonful delivered a perfect balance of savory spices and comforting warmth. The beef was tender ano plentiful, while the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños allowed me to customize each bite exactly to my taste. I think any time you go to a restaurant that serves a type of ethnic cuisine, they focuses on the main or big dishes. For example, Vietnamese restaurants will always feature pho somehow and Cuban restaurants will always feature the Cuban sandwich in some capacity. However, street food or dishes that are small and meant for grab and go and sharing and to be affordable is not often featured at big sit down restaurants. The other thing is when street food is featured on a fancy sit down menu, the small plates and street food always cost more than it should in my opinion. Z Asian really surprised me in that I didn't think the prices were to unfair and it still felt elevated. They are a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. We went here for a date night after watching Obsession. By the way, the movie is one of the best horror movies of this year in my opinion and I think a lot of people's opinion. We parked in the back lot as they don't really have a whole lot of street parking. That was confusing entering the restaurant since we entered from the back and it wasn't clear if the restaurant was open or if we walked in through the wrong door. We got seated fast and the waitress was really nice and engaging. We ordered banh khot, which is basically a mini banh xeo. Banh khot is an eggy crepe mixture that is panfried into a circle and a small amount of seafood is placed into the middle of it. It's small and finger food sized and served with pickled veggies and fresh lettuce and fish sauce to drizzle or dip. My rating is a 9.5/10. It was crispy and full of flavor. We also tried the mango tofu salad. It's similar to a ceviche. This was a 9/10. It has a little heat to it but very good and not too wet. We then ordered grilled mussels with is what it sounds like. It's mussels halves grilled with fish sauce and crushed peanuts sprinkled on top. I rate this a 8/10. I never see this in restaurants. On a good day, I can crush like 20 of these and call it girl dinner. We got the grilled corn as well. This is corn kernels grilled in butter and garlic topped with Sriracha. I rate this a 6.5/10. I think it's a good street dished but it underwhelmed me because it's just the corn and there wasn't a vehicle to deliver it to my mouth. The last item we tried was the grilled chicken rice noodles. This was a flavorful dish of veggies and chicken and rice noodles that are cooked in a pan. The rating is a 8.5/10. My overall rating is 9/10. They bill was on the higher end but I felt like it was worth the food we were eating the service and ambiance.
