First - the parking lot is large and easy to get in/out. Second - we went in at 12:40 and were seated immediately. Lots of tables to handle a crowd. Third - Haley was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. My daughter got the honey caramel crunch iced coffee, and we checked the menu. Haley gave us perfect amount of time to decide and I chose the biscuits and gravy side along with the seasoned potatoes. Very delicious, and the portion was just right to not feel too stuffed but also feel satisfied. Haley got me a drink to go as we were leaving. I noticed every one working was smiling and courteous. I will be coming back more often.

The texture was dense, dry, and crumbly--more like cornbread than the soft, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth pancakes I was expecting. They lacked the moist, buttery richness I personally look for in a great pancake. To be fair, that may be their intended style, but it wasn't what I had hoped for. The staff was accommodating, and I exchanged the pancakes for scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and seasoned potatoes. That plate was much more enjoyable. The eggs were fluffy, the potatoes were nicely seasoned with a good crisp on the outside, and the turkey sausage was a solid choice. I also sampled the Turkey Sausage Biscuits & Gravy. The dish was comforting and satisfying, but it could have benefited from a little more seasoning. A touch more sage in the sausage would have added the savory depth that makes biscuits and gravy truly memorable. One of the highlights of the meal was the fresh juice selection. The Morning Meditation was refreshing with a bright blend of orange, lemon, turmeric, ginger, beet, and agave. The lavender drink was equally delicious, light, floral, and refreshing without being overpowering. If you're visiting First Watch, I highly recommend trying one of their fresh juices. Overall, while the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes missed the mark for me, the fresh juices, eggs, potatoes, and turkey sausage made for a pleasant brunch experience. I'd gladly return and explore more of their savory breakfast offerings.

Visited The Print Shop in Smyrna last week...one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had in a very…read morelong time. This place will surprise you with the interior space (beautifully decorated) plus the outside seating which is also pet friendly. I went upstairs and sat at the bar where I met Kate...she is a non-stop dynamo behind the bar with a fun personality. The two dishes I enjoyed were specials for the evening and may not be available when you visit. My appetizer...black mussels in an elegant cream sauce...this dish blew me away. Make sure you dip the bread in the sauce, it was so good I was tempted to order another helping. For dinner the fried Grouper over a bed of gnocchi and a drizzle of aioli was incredible. The breading was light, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the combination of flavors was very well done. While I am not a fan of the texture of gnocchi...this was really good with the cream sauce. What sets this place apart...the people! Yes...the food is great! But when you spend four hours enjoying a great meal, intriguing conversation, and a smattering of food theory you know you've found a bit of paradise. Thanks to Kate, the owner Jason, Chef Armen and his wife Ericka...it was a pleasure to meet and spend time with all of you.

My drink was excellent and the cheese curds were delicious. For my entree, I had the bacon brie chicken sandwich. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor with the brie and raspberry jam. The chorizo brussel sprouts made a great side, packed with flavor. My wife also let me try her chicken piccata with seasonal vegetables, which were both amazing. All of the staff was welcoming and our server was knowledgeable of the menu and made good recommendations. We went on a Saturday night and they had live music upstairs, which was a great surprise. The band was very talented. If you haven't been yet, you need to check this place out, and if you went before, you should give it another chance. We will definitely be back!
