However, when called for picking my order, I was handed my food and told, "Have a great day," before my order was complete, missing the smoothies. It felt a little premature and somewhat ingenuine since my order wasn't actually complete yet. It made the interaction feel rushed. I am a fan of Tropical Smoothie but this location has been a disappointment. The workers there are young so maybe they don't understand how important it is to have consistency with your product. They are very friendly and helpful though. I know this picture looked like I took a sip and made a bad review but I promise you I will never ever do that. I go to this Tropical Smoothie location often because it's convenient but it's gotten to the point that my drinks aren't filled to the top or they forget to remove a certain ingredient that upset my stomach. Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone so with that being said let's go!. Tropical smoothie what can I say negative about this establishment, please allow me a minute to think.. I can't think of anything so let's do the positive thing! I ordered on the mobile app selected the want/ want nots ( I'm fully aware that's not a word in the dictionary) but as I was saying I chose what I wanted and payed by the card I had registered on the app so it went nice and smooth!. All I had to do was walk into the store and retrieve my purchase. On this particular visit at this location I decided on the blueberry bliss smoothie ( I believe it comes with bananas,blueberries and strawberries but don't hold me to it because I can't remember exactly what fruits it consists of but what I do remember for sure without a doubt is the smoothie was absolutely delicious!!.. I like to kid around but all jokes aside if you like blueberries then I recommend you try the blueberry bliss smoothie, I guarantee you will be completely satisfied!. The food I received matched what I ordered, a triple berry oat smoothie with no whey protein, a Tai chicken wrap, and maple sweet potatoes. I moved from North Carolina to Virginia Beach recently and this is the first Tropical Smoothie I've been to in VA. It was a very easy, smooth, and pleasant experience. At the Tropical Smoothie I went to in NC, they were always out of sweet potatoes and wouldn't tell you until you were picking up your order...not the case with this Tropical Smoothie in Virginia Beach. Conveniently located by the Onelife fitness, I decided to make a quick pit stop after the gym. Came in & was immediately greeted and helped. Was surprised to see so many people working. My order came quick as there were only 2-3 only patrons in the building. Absolutely loved my smoothie! I've been to this location at least a half dozen times. It's not in an area I frequent that much, but it works great when I am. Location it self off of Princess Anne is great, the parking lot not so much. It is congested and seems haphazard when busy. The lot was clean on my visit and walks clear. The sign for this TS is different, I like it. Not busy on a Friday evening around 6:30 and was immediately waited on. Order placed for a kids cheese quesadilla combo as is usually the case for my son and request it be lightly toasted. The male staffer was pleasant. The dining room clean and the restroom utilized and was clean with proper supplies. Food out quickly and was cooked correctly. The Jetty Punch out at the same time. Unfortunately the smoothie was off and lacked flavor, but I decided to deal with it since we needed to hurry out. Based on several experiences I can comfortably provide a 4. Good smoothie but it seems like they have one size - massive. That's probably a lot of calories. Healthy calories, but they're still calories. We also had a couple of wraps. I chose the Buffalo Chicken because I like spicy. My mom chose the veggie and specifically asked for it to be not spicy. So when she had to send it back because it was still spicy, we found out that the default cheese is a pepper jack. Uh, what? Anyway, they were fine to remake the sandwich with cheddar instead. And because it's out of other places in the 3 mile radius it's one of the only restaurants that are considered "healthy." With that being said, I usually stick the same thing and do a switch-a-roo when they have season specials. Kiwi Quencher, Get up and Gogi, Island Green are my favorites. The indulgent smoothies are pretty good too. I really like the flatbreads and wraps. I've been getting the Jamaican Jerk Wrap since high school. The beans and spiciness hit the spot. Always felt good to end a good workout with a fresh smoothie. the vibe here is definitely calm enough and the lighting - bright enough that I sometimes come here to study. The line definitely gets long during peak hours but service has proven to be fast and efficient even throughout the years. The employees here are so friendly and this place is always clean. Fast service despite the lunch rush! We were getting takeout this trip. We both went with the smoothie and half sandwich combo. We had the strawberry limeade and avocolada smoothies and club sandwich. Smoothies were incredible. Sandwiches tasted great as well although a half was pretty small. Service had a slight hitch though and I'm attributing it to the rush. It was nice that they came from behind the counter to bring us our order, but it was more of a chuck and run. This is the closest tropical smoothie to my house but I don't have any complaints about this place. Serves up fresh smoothies and tropical sandwiches/wraps/flatbreads fast and delicious. Located next to OneLife Princess Anne, it can be a busy location. The staff are all friendly and serves their orders relatively fast. They also have complimentary ice water which is always a plus to me. I usually go for their avocolado and bahama mama smoothies and the chipotle chicken club flatbread. Earlier this week i had tropical smoothie and got a peanut butter cup smoothie that tasted awful it was from a different location so i had to give it another try because i know messing up a peanut butter, banana, and chocolate smoothies must have been a fluke. I was very pleased with my smoothie from this location. I also ordered a chicken bacon ranch flatbread with jalepeno chips on the side. My order came in a timely fashion and also tasted delicious. I decided to eat in and enjoy my meal. the store was very clean and the employees were tidying the area up while i was sitting and eating so that was nice to see. We like Tropical Smoothie Cafe but had not been to this one. We stopped in on a recent weeknight and the experience was subpar. The boys had gotten a card for a free kids meal with a purchase of an adult meal at a Tides game. The cards said "Good for All Hampton Roads Locations". So, my oldest son and wife ordered and I stepped up to order. He asked if we could do a separate order for mine and my youngest son. OK, no problem. My wife asked him a question and he completely ignored her. Not a good move! He then commented "I am going to get into big trouble for letting you use these coupons". I asked why. His response, "I don't think we are in Hampton Roads. This is Virginia Beach." I wasn't sure whether to laugh or feel bad for the kid. So, I told him he was OK and that the whole area is Hampton Roads, including VA Beach. So, we proceeded with the order. The food was good, though. Everyone seemed to like their order. I had a Thai chicken wrap that was quite tasty. So, the food was fine but the service was less than stellar. My wife was still mad for quite a while afterward. It was kinda funny. This location is always busy, but the line generally moves quickly and orders are pumped out within a few minutes. I usually get the Avocadolada smoothie and it seems to vary in taste depending on which location you go to. That being said, I think this location makes it the best and I can usually depend on their consistency with each visit. The employees are always really nice as well. Parking is always available but I feel like their lot just seems a little more cramped vs others. PS- sign up for their fan club and every once in a while you'll get a coupon via text. I love the smmothies here. Everything is all nautral and made from fresh fruit. i tried one of the coffe smoothies the other day for the first time. I was pretty good, a lot better than I expected it to be. The food there is also really good. If you love peanut butter you need to try the peanut butter banana crunch wrap!! It's so amazing. I have ordered the same thing and my order has been wrong 5 times back to back and they don't even care. I have made several complaints and they have said to me "what do you expect us to do." Put in an online order at 12:15, went in at 12:30 pick up and wasn't ready, watched numerous customers walk in place orders and leave before I had to leave at 12:52 to return to work. Apparently ordering in person takes precedence over ordering online even though they take your money immediately.
