I'm a big fan on Zeke's. I get pretty much the same thing every time. I normally go to the Norfolk location but I was in Chesapeake for a festival and this location was minutes away so I'm was happy to pay it a visit. This location was busy, packed with teenagers having a hangout sesh which I thought was cute. There were also people coming in and out grabbing orders for take out. I ordered the Fajita Pita as a rice bowl as always at the other location and I also got a Strawberry Watermelon Pineapple Juice. It took a little minute to get my food just because it was busy which I didn't mind. My rice bowl tasted the same as the other location which gave me much satisfaction and is a testament of the consistency across locations. The juice was refreshing and well balanced. Overall I enjoyed my pickup and I am happy to know there's another location I can go to if I need and want to. I am craving it as I write this review!!! read more

I ordered the Greek pita turned into a rice bowl. A few things... 1) Where was the seasoning? 2) WTF is this dressing? It sure as shit isn't tzatziki sauce. LOVE Zeke's. It's my go to brunch spot, especially because we hate the breakfast / brush rush. Zeke's is always pretty quick and satisfies our açaí and poke cravings. I've been going to Zeke's for a long time . I've been to all 3 locations and I love the bright, airy ambiance of the Chesapeake location. Not to mention, it's closer to where I live! My orders are always the same. It's either the Haole Bowl, Bibimbap or one of the poke bowls. They are all delicious. Poke bowls are always fresh. I love the granola in their açaí bowls. The fruits are a hit or miss. Sometimes it's sweet and ripe. Sometimes, the bananas, mangoes and pineapples are still 'green' and unripe. Ripe fruits sweetened the açaí bowls and thus, they taste better. I am obsessed with their Bibimbap. I always have it with tofu. At the Norfolk location, it is served with teriyaki sauce. After finishing a hot yoga session close-by, some friends and I decided to stop by Zeke's for a bite to eat. Zeke's offers all day breakfast, poké bowls, pitas, smoothies and salads along with fresh juices, coffees, teas and cocktails. After looking over the menu, the Spicy Tuna Pita sounded delish so I chose that and added avocado, cucumber and tomato for an additional charge. I also ordered the Greeñia Colada smoothie which consisted of spinach, kale, pineapple, banana, ginger and coconut water. The pita was delicious! The flavor of the spicy tuna salad paired with the seaweed salad, the additional toppings and the sriracha aioli was perfection! I tasted my friend's Cucumber Watermelon Salad and it was so fresh and delicious. The smoothie was very refreshing as well and I loved the profound ginger taste in it. After looking at previous Yelp reviews, i decided on the Build your own pita regular over brown rice with spicy tuna, spicy house, cucumber, lettuce, and green onions. I got the sauce on the side, but I won't do that next time cause it was so good. 10 out of 10 for me. I also tried the PB banana honey sandwich. There's multiple locations of this place in the area. I love their food. I would say that the açaí bowls are good but it's not my #1 one favorite. The Norfolk location is super nice on the inside and is my favorite. I get the Madison's tofu bowl which is a kids bowl, and I get a fruit bowl. They cut up the fruit in the bowl really small and it makes it like a fruit salad. Go try! read more

Zeke's is a great spot in Chesapeake. Their cappuccino is one of the best I've had in the area so far! Definitely a lot of ample seating. The service was good and quick! I also had the Brazil bowl which was a very hefty portion; though I can't really justify 2 items for $16. The music, however, was ungodly loud while trying to work a little. Definitely recommend turning it down several notches so people can actually think about what they are doing! I'd probably return to just take away next time. read more

My friend loves this place and was so excited that a location opened up in Chesapeake, so naturally we met for breakfast this morning! I thought this was my first time at Zeke's but once I stepped inside I realized I had visited the VB location a few years ago. We each got acai bowls. I opted for PB&J, it was good but there was a lot of topping and little smoothie in comparison. The vibe inside is great and super chill and the workers are friendly. Definitely a go to spot for a delicious smoothie/smoothie bowl (I don't eat poke lol). They even have a good variety of coffee and tea to complete your breakfast. Stopped by this smaller, Norfolk Zeke's yesterday while out and about shopping with the husband. I was hungry for lunch but wanted something fruity so I searched for açaí bowls. I knew Zeke's from the VAB location and knew they'd have some great smoothies and berry bowls for me. When we stopped in around mid-day there wasn't anyone inside and the gal behind the counter was super nice. I ordered a small bowl and it was ready in minutes. I didn't hear any blender or anything so I'm not sure if it's pre-made in the AM. The fresh fruit on top was delicious and fresh though so no complaints from me! This is a solid little spot with plenty of parking and nearby stores in a cute strip. read more

I love this Zeke's location. It's conveniently located right next door to a yoga place, a nail place, a salon - all needing a place to grab something quick (coffee, shake, etc) and filling (pita) and healthy for you (cold pressed juices) while waiting for your appointment or after a yoga session that you just want to keep the healthy going. The selections here are much more and varied compared to its sister location in Norfolk. I ordered the green juice that has kale, spinach, coconut water and something something am sure is healthy (cucumber?). It was refreshing and delicious. For nourishment I got the pita that had chicken and seaweed salad, such a creative offering, love the balance of brininess of the seaweed and the grilled taste of chicken. My friend got extra avocado and onions with hers. I also ordered the watermelon and cucumber salad that was delicious with soy and mint dressing. Zeke's in Ghent was a go-to spot for my wife and I for many years and a truly wonderful restaurant. We assumed that the quality of the Chesapeake Zeke's would be equal to that restaurant. Unfortunately, after ordering from them on DoorDash, we only received half our order. The driver confirmed that the restaurant had only made half of what we ordered. When I called the Chesapeake Zeke's to get the rest of the order made, the girl answering the phone offered me a refund, saying that they couldn't make the rest of the order. I took her up on this refund, gave her my contact information and order number, but I was never refunded. I would give them another shot if they stuck to their word but as it stands now, I won't be ordering from them again. read more

I've come here enough times to update my review. As usual I come in for great coffee and a nice breakfast snack for a fair price and the peaceful environment. Was pretty calm today and the door open having the amazing weather and breeze fill the store. I could practically take a nap on the couch in here (I wouldn't do that don't worry). But I'm basic so sitting there with my coffee and just enjoying myself and the chit chat with the workers. They're always so friendly and nice which is what I love compared to places where it's just, oh here's your stuff bye. Zeke's açaí bowls are okay but not great. Their menu reflects that many of their açaí bowls use a blended açaí-banana base rather than just an açaí base. I went there to give that a try. They also do not have a peanut butter drizzle like other açaí bowl places. Instead, it is a spooned dollop (which they told me it would be). I have decided I prefers standard açaí base without blended additives. The front counter service was pleasant. The restaurant has good seating both indoors and outside. It was clean and well kept. I have not tried anything else on their menu, so I will give the location for stars reflecting all's good except the açaí bowls. I have gotten better elsewhere. read more
