I just ordered a açaí bowl and clearly stated no bananas (substitute mangoes) and no chia seeds. When DoorDash delivered my order, it clearly had the bananas and chia seeds. I called the store to inform them of the mistake and the employees (male) who was "in charge" wanted to argue with me that the order came up as a regular bowl and I was wrong! What kind of customer service is this! I had to go to the store and he still wanted to argue with me as a customer. Very aggressive! I had to end the conversation by saying please give me what I wanted so I can leave. He asked someone to make it and he went to the back to never return. No apology for the misunderstanding; no thank you for your business. Totally unacceptable! Incompetent workers. Clearly told the first employee no bananas.. to which he said ok & then CHARGED me for extra bananas. I bring it to the girl's attention who was bossing the others around, only for her to refund the item & proceed to give me the açaí bowl with the bananas and walk away. I recently went to this tropical smoothie and I ordered my food as a pick up, I finally go and pick up my order to which no one greets me. I tell them my name and they hand me my order. Fast forward to where I have eaten the sandwich and drank my smoothie. I have really bad stomach cramps and nausea in about 2 hours and it went downhill from there. I haven't been here in a while...it's on the opposite side of where I am a most of the time. My favorite is the Island Green. It wasn't very busy this morning. Customer service was good...it took me a minute to decide what I wanted and he waited patiently for me to decide. (It May have went faster if he offered suggestions) The facility was nice and clean. They have high tables and chair seating as well as regular table and chair. They offer smoothies, wraps and bowls. They also offer meat-free choices. You can also order online and have delivered with food scooter. I like the the business card board they have, I always find a card for something I didn't know we had in this area. Just short cause I'm not that impressed. Blah! So I came here a couple of times & all of the visits were "meh" to say the least. The smoothies are not consistent with other locations I have been to, their convention oven STAYYYYS BROKEN so I can't get those delicious hot sandwiches I love, and the customer service is ok - ::side eye::. Every time I've come here, the girl at the register never smiles or greets you appropriately. What's the point of this location if the smoothies don't taste like the brand and your customers can never order hot food products because of your broke a** oven? I mean really, get it together! I will not patronize this Tropical Smoothie again. I'm not sure if they all work the same, due to being franchised but I asked for a refund after placing an online order and canceling the order. I was advised that I had to return to the store in order to get a refund. I have never had a problem canceling an online food order before and not receiving a refund back to my card . I decided to work late today, so I stopped here to grab a Smoothie to hold me over until I get home tonight. To my surprise, they actually have an extensive menu to include wraps, flatbreads, sandwiches, etc! I ordered the Blueberry Bliss Smoothie combo with a Chicken Apple Club flatbread. Absolutely delicious! The wrap was freshly made and full of flavor. I loved the kale and apple slaw with the grilled chicken. Service is a bit slow, but I'm not one to be in a crazy hurry....just be sure to allow yourself time for your food to be made if you're stopping for a 'quick' bite to eat. I ordered a quesadilla and a smoothie. When I got to work I opened the box and there's a long piece of hair in my food. I called them to report and was laughed at and told bring it back for another one to be made and the phone hung up. I called back and requested to speak to a manager and told them I wanted a full refund and was laughed at once again and told everyone is the manager. Typically, this is one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately if today was my first impression I wouldn't return. Made an online order last night. I didn't realize they were closed when I ordered. Since my card was still charged, I decided to have someone pick up the order with my online receipt in hand. The order was ready before he arrived. I also put in another order. He called me to help them figure out my order. When I received it, my wrap was cold and soggy. I called and asked if the wrap was from last night and the associate named either Isabella or Isabel stated they made it right before he came because they'd seen the second order come in. After I asked her if she'd put her name on what she said, she said yes and then stated that she was told from the people that work there that my food was made today. At this point she started get. I really wanted to like this location. I've been to many Tropical Smoothies before and never had a bad experience. On this particular morning in March 2016 I ordered a breakfast wrap which I had ordered previously that was amazing. When I got to work and opened the wrap, I had a bite and it tasted odd. Upon further inspection of the wrap I discovered mold on the tortilla. I was sick to my stomach!! After taking a picture I threw the tortilla out. I mean seriously, tortillas do not expire that quickly. And if this is what they serve that you can visibly see, just imagine what goes into your smoothie that you can't see.
