While in the Winterhaven area, working a conference at the Advent Center, I found myself hungry and in need of something fast. I looked at my phone and I remember hearing that although the name is Tropical Smoothie Cafe, they actually had incredible sandwiches. They have a way to order online, but I just showed up and put in my order and prayed that it was fast. It absolutely was. The service is very quick. I went there on two separate occasions and the second time I called ahead and my order was ready within 10 minutes. They actually brought it out to me because they saw me outside on my phone. My son absolutely loved the peanut butter and banana wrap, I took a few bites, and it was absolutely delicious. He's lucky he got it back, ha ha. I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich, that was delicious, my husband got the Pesto chicken sandwich and he said that was delicious. I also tried the avocado Lada smoothie as well as the green smoothie on two separate occasions and they were both delicious and also very generous portions. I wish I had one nearby where I live because I'll be hitting up that peanut butter, banana, and granola wrap all the time. If you are looking for something quick and convenient, but also healthy and reasonable in price, Tropical Smoothie is your jam. It's located right next to Legoland. I ordered a hummus wrap today and it was terrible I didn't even eat it. It had like 5-6 beans in it one half had no beans! That's the only protein as it's a veggie wrap. I always order at Tropical smoothie because their smoothies are always delicious. This location on the other hand must be running short on fruit or just trying to save on spending money because I've had smoothies from this place taste like lightly flavored water. The food we ordered tasted fine, it's just their smoothies that have been lacking. I hope management sees this and fixes the issue. I loved tropical smoothie and will continue trying other locations. Last time I went here, I swung by for lunch and the sandwich they gave me gave me very bad food poisoning. Was sick for a week. Staff is okay, but they don't seem to keep food fresh. After several visits at this location and each time the sandwiches just don't taste the same as any other location. read more

I went in on 10/12/2019 around 5:15pm. I ordered 2 Baja chicken wraps sub vegan chicken and a smoothie. It was on the receipt that I even paid 1 dollar more for it. After about 4 minutes or so AFTER I got my smoothie the cook came to the front and was asking about the vegan chicken to the other employees. The cashier went back to help him make my wraps. 10 minutes later the wraps were going in the oven. I finally get my wraps about 20 minutes after ordering. I did not eat them right away because I was going to meet a friend. I got home and bit into the wrap and it had real chicken in them. I checked the other one and it also had real chicken. I have been ordering these wraps for 5 years And this has never happened. I am extremely disappointed that they thought it was ok to put dead animals in my wrap. I paid more for them and I didn't get what i asked for. I was glad this store was opened since it's closer to me but I will not be ordering my wraps from there anymore. It's not ok to do that I would have been happy if they just didn't add the vegan chicken at all. I was sooo grossed out. It's been 10 years since I bit into a dead animal. And not to mention I wasted 20 dollars. And there were customers who were waiting on their wraps for 24 minutes by time I left and they were extremely frustrated. Employees need to get it together . Keep on driving! I stopped here with my kids after Legoland to get dinner. The people working here are so rude I honestly don't know why they still have a job after seeing all the other negative reviews here saying the same thing. I watched them talk disrespectfully to a sweet older blank woman asking a simple question and they didn't even make eye contact with anyone. When it was my turn to order I asked them to split my smoothie in 4 kid cups and they argued with me in circles about how it should be done. I can only imagine what was said about me after I walked out because another customer who was a complete stranger approached me outside to commiserate on how awful the customer service was..When my 5-year-old needed to use the bathroom it was so uncomfortable to come back in (we ate outside) I half considered driving to another establishment . I don't know if this is a franchise but someone who cares about the brand may want to take notice! The next time we go to Legoland I will make sure and find another place to stop to eat on the way home. We eat at tropical smoothie all the time back home but we won't make this mistake again! The new store is terrible, their smoothies taste like water by far the worst smoothie I've ever had

On Sunday I visited tropical smoothie legoland location. We go at least once a week. The service was AWFUL. There was another family there waiting for smoothies. One girl was working and actually begging her co workers to help her. One worker did begin to help her. The other 2 workers J and M were having an extremely loud heated conversation about someone ‍ it was so loud that they could not hear me to order, the girl working the front asked them multiple times to please keep it down because they had customers. At one point she said M ssshhhh and m replied rudely. At that point I went behind the counter and asked her to please stop so that we could order. It was so frustrating. I cannot believe that myself as a customer needed to go behind the counter to ask an employee to hush. I left livid and I will drive to other locations now. I have contacted corporate and I have been calling almost daily to speak with NATE the manager who is never there. Also J was supposedly the supervisor and was the only person not properly wearing a mask and she did nothing to try and diffuse the chaos that was happening. read more
